In this video we will show you how to change engine oil on Chevrolet Cruze with 1.8 engine. It may be helpful on the 1.4 engine but check your manual for the oil capacity. Sonic is known as Holden Barina in Australia so it will cover that as well. The same 1.8 ecotec engine has been used in Chevrolet Sonic as well so if you have that engine in your Chevrolet Sonic the procedure should be the same.

Good day I found that the engine has burned the oil and when I drained it only less than 2lts was left.Do I need to do engine flush and if so can I use diesel oil mix. Chevy cruze 1.6 manual engine
Use the right oil. 5W-30 for petrol engine. Completely drain all the old out and refill with the right amount as per your cars manual. My 1.6L turbo engine takes 4.5L, but yours might be slightly different
Also, check if your car blows black smoke and or check for oil leaks. It shouldn’t be using that much oil

I don't know how my mother is not a mechanic she say me to change the motor oil have to raise the vehicle one side to drain all the engine oil from the oil pan and make little more clean.

Sorry, but my one issue is using a socket for a job when you have better control with a box end wrench. Maybe that is just my aviation side speaking and how I was taught tool selection for a job.
