I like my portal because when I play it, there's no distractions going on (unlike a phone which also has a smaller screen)and I can play wherever I want in my house instead of just one place. What I also like is, I use it mostly to play the campaign mode instead of multi-player. That way I can get more trophies. The LCD screen is beautiful 😍
That’s a great point about the Portal compared to the phone… when I used the Backbone, it was distracting when a text or alert popped up on screen. Sometimes it’s good to have a dedicated device for a specific use.
I have a great experience overall, it will be better if the portal was a ps vita 2 (i still use my vita) but with good internet and a 5GHz antennas in my modem everything is smooth and playable.
Christmas shopping for my fiance, thanks a lot. I have a steam deck OLED and a LEDdeck. They are definitely superior, with the browser and ability to use it like a tablet and switch to a desktop mode. I don't know if I'll get the portal for my fiance. Her connection at work is crap and that's where she will use it primarily. She doesn't like her backbone because the connection. Which maybe the wifi..
The PS Portal is still such a rip off product to me. You can do the same thing with any laptop, phone or tablet for free. Why would I want to spend $380 (the cost in New Zealand) for a screen that is literally only able to show one thing when I could spend less on another device that can stream the PS5 and do everything else a phone/tablet/TV can do? Great video btw.
It’s one of those things that you have to experience to realize how fun it is. Watching reviews don’t do it justice. It’s great & also meant for people who can afford to drop the cash on convenience
Have fun fidgeting and doing the most. Meanwhile I'll pick up my portal press the ps button and have my entire library available. I don't get any lag maybe that's why. Picked up the portal on release and beat the entire phantom liberty dlc on it.
Hey everyone, let me know what you think of the Portal so far - Do you have one already? Thinking of getting one?

Thanks for sharing. May keep my switch for a bit.
The Switch is great - Nintendo should be dropping a new one soon, likely later this year
How are you gonna play God Of War Ragnorok on Switch though?

I do think Sony will one day launch a version of the Portal with storage, which would be great. What are you playing on your Vita?
SD gundam G Generation genesis, a game that i wanted to play for a long long time and i finally got it sealed in Japanese with English subs
