Didn't Malenia's great rune get buffed right before the DLC? I think your flasks heal for 85% instead of 70% now which kinda makes a rather big difference imo. So this build is actually even better.
If you teleport with a drop boosting item active it will cancel the buff so just be aware of that

Rakshasa armor doesn't give you a damage negation debuff, it just has lowered stats for it's weight class.
The jump damage boosts work with the ash of war, havent gotten rakshasa set yet but I’m sure the crow feather chest piece will give more dam.
I tried this in NG+7, switching form a dual twinblades setup using blood and ice nthat was working great in the regular game but lacked defenses in the dlc. Well, to say the least, if your build may perform really well in NG0, the damage income with the armor of Rakshasa makes it unsustainable. The rune of Malenia isn't sufficient to recover from the amount of damages that comes in each time you are hit. Basically, every basic opponent two shots you at best when it's not a flat one shot. The gameplay is cool, damages on bosses is actually pretty decent even in ng+7 but it's a pain to play in the open world. I think i'll switch back to some bleed build with dual blades, like the backhand blades.

I use the exact same build dual fire greatswords with the same ash of war works to a tee. Not to mention my character is level 621 so that does help

Question. The Fire Knight's Greatsword. Since it has innate fire (Attack) why not use Fire or Flame Art infusion?
If we use the Fire infusion, we won't be able to apply Bleed build-up with the Bloodflame Blade buff, as it requires a physical infusion, not an elemental one. However, Bloodflame Blade does enhance the fire damage on the Fire Knight's Greatsword. Flame Art infusion is a good choice if you plan to use the weapon primarily with a Faith build.

I think you get better stats for golden vow if you use the incantation over the ash of war and the new consumable.
And it lasts longer with the incantation
Need 25 Faith for spell. He’d have to take 9 points from another stat.
I have the malenias rune active but i dont see my health being restored when using the ash of war, is it just me? Lol

After the patch it wont let me enhance for quality or keen. Can only do standard heavy or other elements

It's hard for me to be objective about the Elden Ring DLC, but I’ll try to be honest. It’s a great DLC and you’ll definitely sink plenty of hours into it. However, it is a bit disappointing that it’s going to be the only DLC for Elden Ring.
@@KimoChaser I was hesitant to get the DLC but I eventually bit the bullet; the hurdle for me was I switched systems so I have to restart the entire saga before heading into the DLC. Do you think it's best to finish the main campaign before heading in? Or am I safe to get into it aroudn the 100 mark. I'm still a ways off getting there but thought it was a valid question.
@@mattwalker2818 I don't think finishing the campaign is necessary to enter the DLC unless you need specific items from end-game bosses for your build. RL 100 is doable, but I wouldn't recommend entering the DLC fresh with anything below 50 Vigor. Also, be sure to collect as many Scadutree Fragments as possible. In my guide, I gathered over 20 without fighting anything, which should provide you with over 50% increased damage and more than 100% damage negation.

What about 2hand sword talisman? May be instead of protesis?
It's great but doesn't affect the ash of war damage.
You can add bloodflame incantation too weapon with special ash of war?
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but you can apply the Bloodflame Blade buff to any weapon, regardless of its Ash of War, as long as the weapon is not unique (like the Blasphemous Blade, with some exceptions). The weapon should also have a physical affinity such as Regular, Keen, Heavy, or Quality.

For the early game (below 150 levels), Godrick's Great Rune is always a solid option. In the end game, consider Radahn's Great Rune or Mohg's Great Rune if you enjoy using spirit summons.

why dont i get the option to choose quality? instead of keen and quality i get lightning and sacred??
You need the Iron Whetblade to add heavy, keen, or quality. It's in Stormveil Castle
does my dexterity have to be higher than my vigor for this to work ? for example my vigor is 75 and my dexterity is 70
you should be good
By the way, investing in Vigor beyond 60 seems like a waste of points due to the diminishing returns on HP per point. If you really want more HP, you can always use the Crimson Amber Medallion +3 for an extra 10% HP, as well as the Fire Knight Helm for an additional 2% HP.
Am I being dumb, I can’t use blood flame blade on this weapon?
You can only use Bloodflame Blade incantation on a weapon that has physical affinity like Keen, Heavy, Quality, and of course Regular.

this build might be viable for base game fights because it's too slow for dlc bosses that can 3 shot you.
I copied all but my HP doesnt regenerate while doing the spin..
Use Malenia's Great Rune and activate using a Rune Arc.
I tried it is awesome for solo, but not for co-op. Great runes doesnt work on co-op.
Absolutely correct. I tried this with a friend, and I really missed the healing from Malenia's Great Rune that I usually rely on in my solo play.
Why not use the new 2H talisman? Isn't it 15% all the time

You can duplicate the ash of war so it definitely should not be a bug.
Not gonna lie I never got round to finishing this game it's hard, stopped playing when God of War Ragnarok came out & haven't been bothered about Elden Ring since. I know it's a skill issue & also my first souls game so I'm just going to farm killing the bird & max out then finish it

The patch didn't touch this build, my friend. The only nerf was for Fire Knight's Greatsword pvp "true combo"

Can’t use that ash on final boss. He’ll knock you out of the air and do major damage to you.
Was this nerfed?
They nerfed the "true combo" of Fire Knight's Greatsword. "True combo" lets you land one hit after another with regular R1 against players. In PvE, this build was unharmed in the last patch.

Its not working with mesmer. I have 260 lvl
i just killed mesmer with this realy fast.
just roll 2x and imediatly go into weapon skill 2x and u get to 2nd phase in under 10 sec.
i swapped millent's prothesis for godskin sawddling cloth and put crimson sapping cracked tear in my flask for more healing.
and used the greatsword with blood affinity.

After the patch wich build is the meta ?
Well, they didn't nerf Impenetrable Thorns so I would consider that one to be the meta at this point.

Because the Fire Knight's Greatsword scales better with Dexterity than Strength.

tested it, not good in ng+7 doesnt stagger and since u just get 2 shot either way the health steal doesnt do shit prob good base and ng+1-3 tho

I don’t think so because at the end of the day you don’t have to use the build and I mean it is a strong build but you can always choose to use a weaker version

Please put that in your next video bc I see from the bloodstains many are having the same problem.
Hitting run and jump together clears the gap without issue, I haven't missed since
