For anyone who is curious, I do intend to make a video of this model's construction. I'm currently building a tank, so I won't get to this for a couple of weeks.
Honestly, it does surprise me a bit that of all companies, it's Tamiya who gets the bow shape wrong. On the other hand you are probably among the 7 people who noticed :D
Man, that's super disappointing about the bow shape. I have an otherwise excellent kit of SMS Blucher with an incorrect stem shape and it just discourages me everytime I look in the box. Looking forward to the build, thanks for posting!
I'm not sure yet. I've done small corrections on models in the past, but never an entire section of the hull. We'll see how ambitious I am when the time comes. Thank you.

Hi Crosser, I'm curious as to where the I-400 bow drawing that you showed came from. What book was it in? It's different from what I've seen.
@@jeffbird2983 I'm not sure if it originated from a book, but it was included with a survey of I-400's wreck.

I like how you identified the bow issues. Will you make any attempt to correct?
