Yep. Emeralds, specifically need to be talked about for wars. They have become invaluable for our muskets, as the only ones hitting them are other muskets. the amount of protection these provide is re-donk-u-lous if you fully commit to them.
DONT SELL ANY crafting material refining agents such as flux, solvent, cross weave, sand paper....even if you dont use a certain one at all you can transform it into what you need via the transformation gadget (Common, Advanced and Masterwork Material converter for "grey", green and blue refining agents) you can buy from your faction vendor.

You can buy for 100 faction tokens a item called the Common Material Converter, which will change any Refinding Reagents into whatever you want. As a crafting junkie i never ever sell any mats
Even after watching this video, I'm still pretty overwhelmed on all of the items and crafting. To be honest though, gold seems somewhat useless besides buying a house as long as you're willing to grind. Really considering just keeping everything I came across besides the obvious junk.
repair, crafting, trading, town maintenance, wars, houses. All of these need gold and the further down that list the more important it is. Houses are fast travel + free stats + more storage. better house better benefits.

Also, a good way of checking the different tiers of mod charms is using the marketplace filters. It has all the different one and you can mouseover them once selected, to see their stats. Just a nice way of checking it out without alt tabbing to check the wiki. It also lists what's needed to convert lower tier charms into the next tier.
Hey bro. Don't know if you realize this, but leveling crafting isn't like WoW where you need to craft the highest level thing to level up. You could still level up on level 0 bricks. Just make sure there's +exp in the bottom right before the "craft" button.
Hey just want to say that the flowers that replace cod eye are super common near windsward. I'm sure that there's a few good spots near monarch and a lil bit down south. You just need to know the spots(it's usually near something big so like water mouths, mountain bases or close to a lil farm or mini infested town). Not quite on the path but just around them so if you do a once through you will likely find loads of em since no one picks them. I have a HUGE stack of them and I haven't once gone out of my way to find them for anything I just do them on my daily rounds while picking veggies, hunting or quests. They respawn p quickly outside of rivercress which feels like forever but there are usually 3-8 on one strip of water so it's not too bad if you find I good patch. Good luck! Also side not great video! Really helpful gonna start grinding out stone cutting! Subbed!
I can confirm that I got Fae and Void iron from ore veins (Void from iron ore, Fae I don't know). But it took me till mining lvl 138 + full mining gear + 1700 mining bonus food until those finally dropped (in Everfall).
Hmm. I got both those ores from mining iron. I'm not even close to your stats with mining or the gear. Not lots of them, but somehow I've still got some. But then I got a Legendary fish using basic fishing rod, no bait and no outfit or any other perk, in a regular fishing spot, not a hot spot. So darned if I know what's going on.
for fishing to get oil, i highly recommend fishing in the secret hotspot down at the very bottom of cutless. just bring glowworm bait because it's the most beneficial in salt water. the salt water fish often drop more oil in my experience, and the description of the swordfish says "gives a lot of oil when salvaged". they're not super common but i still net like 20-40 fish oil per trip down there
also the same thing applies to stone cutting, i also find a lot of T3/T4 chests in that hotspot which tend to drop gold, maybe a good item, and a shit load of gems of all kinds.
Yeah, you need a minimum mining luck to get it. High mining skill gives you luck and also food buffs. When I was low level I only ever got Voidmetal/Fae Iron when using Herb Roasted potatoes.
I leveled stonecutting for free and even made a profit on the way. Make charged sand. Put buy orders in for cheaper sandstone and then turn it into charged sand and sell it. Making a few dollars profit each one I sell and it levels stonecutting fairly quickly. Check pricing on your server to see if this works for you too 😁
thanks great vid. also what could be useful is to show viewers what ingredients are most viable to burn for leveling crafting because alot of people burn ingredients to level that they should have kept for later in progression. I know i certainly made the mistake of burning a lot of gems and motes to lvl jewelcrafting. Would be a nice guide to know what you can burn in the lvl grind and what you should hang on to for later progression

I have gotten a Voidmetal ingot while mining an Iron Ore Vein. Just got my mining to level 80 and got the Minor Miner title achievement, and out of those 8,000 items, I have only harvested it that one time. I would say the rate is pretty rare. Great video, I learned a lot. Thank you!

i believe that the charms scale off of gear score so 5% on the fire staff charm u showed is the minimum but they scale really high depending on the gear score of your weapon
Making gathering tools at the Workshop is another thing I would recommend when you first start. There are some good perks you can get crafting tools ... exp, yield, luck and of course the faster gathering speed on higher tier tools. I personally use exp bonus on all tools just to help level faster
Ive been selling iron ingots for one gold per ingot. I only sell in bulk orders of 1,000 or more and it usually takes about an hour to an hour and 20 to get this. Ive built up a pretty big clientele and even got someone to make me a nice set of level 37 armor for me so I could finally run Starstone. I love how tight knit the server communities are.
What server you on? 😂 iron ores in my server is 0.65¢ each.. I usually farm 6k ores a day and then sell all on marketplace I’ll be more then happy to buy your ingots for $1 each lol
I scrap all common items like weapons and armor as having repair parts gets expensive the higher gear you get. I use nearly all the food I have to cook just to the level higher and reduce storage. I sell any green items with gem slots and scrap the rest. I keep certain materials at other settlements as they have a higher level crafting station for whatever. That's how I manage my storage as I run into a similar problem lol. I'm a hoarder in MMOs but not real life it seems XD
Take your less valuable things and put them into market way overpriced (like common solvent, everyone sells for 0.01, put it 15) for some days. It will temporarily vanish from your storage freeing up space. If the trade offer expires, they will go back to your storage (overfill it, but nothing will go missing) and you can repeat the process. For like 1000 you pay 5-6 gold for 3 days of free storage? Pfff, easy deal.
BTW hyssop can drop, nutmeg, paprika, cinnamon, dill, ect BUT the drops vary with region harvested. As you said. Legendary fish as well, we have yet to see what you can craft with them...OH i caught a starfish its blue and its automatically an Arcana ingredient.
If you want Void Bent Armor do not refine your motes to wisps or higher it requires base motes to make the energy cores. I leveled my stone cutting with boulders pretty easily.
Great video! Thanks for the info! For the beginner, I suggest this: Do whatever it takes to get yourself a house somewhere so that you can have the additional storage chest space, travel option, and trophies that affect play. Once you have at least one house, then save whatever components you choose.
As an update to this discussion, the new PTR has all reagents shifted to tier 5, so I'd argue you want to buy and farm chests for these in ANY rarity as much as possible so you get the benefits of having your whole inventory bumped up. Also, save all your armour buff trinkets because you can convert them at the gypsum machine for the good ones that make good money. And speaking of easy money, you can make a little bit from forming trash mobs while you level weapons. Those lvl 50s outside shattered mountain can give around 10 gold after every 5-20, not including the .25 you get from salvaging, but I'd recommend against salvage ATM as the PTR also shows better salvaging rewards.
It has been fun being a market maker in this game. The spreads on material are ridiculous. Ez passive gold. Take advantage while everyone is leveling and pumping mats into the markets.
I'm Level 39. I've all Refining Prof. at 100+, all Gathingerings over 175 (except fishing, is 50) and Weaponsmith, Armoring, Engineering and Arcana on 100 and cooking 125 and Jewelcrafting at 75. I did not cutted a single Gem yet, I only minored stone for it. You do NOT need Gold and Platinum for Jewelcrafting. Stop that!!! You can create EVERY SINGLE Jewelcrafting Item that needs a setting craft with Silver. To do it with Gold and Platinum ONLY increase the Gear Score. Gold and Platinum you can use for SERIOUS stuff, NOT FOR LEVELING. All what I bought for coming so far were the refining reagents. So keep ALL TYPES OF RARITIES for it, if you plan to max out other professions later on. Also never refine Iron to Steel, abuse the Steel Speer Bug for it.
Would argue furnishing, not jewelcrafting, is the hardest to level up bc you have to find most of the schematics and rare/epic ingredients for any significant xp gain. Surprised this video didn't even mention it...but late game, is super important with trophies and storage
Thank you for your time. I horde a lot of items except for things like flint. So easy to farm up. I go to a small island in the west and run in circles around the outer edges looting flint. By the time I get to where I started it's all respawned. Fast, Easy and saves bank space.
The charms doesn't reflect the real amount that it would add. It only shows the minimum amount. The real amount it would add to the item is based on the crafted item level, the higher the level, the higher the stat of the charm. For example i made a t4 bag using the increased encumbrance mod charm, it says it adds +50 encumbrance , but when i craft my item level 400 bag, it really shows a +77 encumbrance mod.
Nice guide, During leveling tho If you plan to just pvp/pve and not craft just sell everything and buy food, potions, houses as needed. Pretty much best gear you get from faction vendor and drops anyway and food/potions cost almost nothing houses do tho.
I do want to let you know that if you use the gathering foods, you are more likely to get rare materials from resources. Example, I've been using herb roasted potatoes that give 1400 luck when mining, and from two rotations of mining (about 351 weight at the time) I got about 20 Fae iron.
Their are certain bear found in weavers fen that drop quintencece when you mine there skin i belive you need like 100 a bit above that, the more or less location is near wear the main quest send you to look for the syndacate faction leader thing after doing the convenant one, you need the syndacyte one that first npc you go to near is a bear spawn that you kill and mine these bears fur and they give quintesence.
Gathering luck and crafting luck stats are not for your main gear. They are swappies, unless you’re in an area where mob density doesn’t allow for quick gear swaps. The exception is logging and mining because you need 300 con or str to oneshot a tree or mining node
Great video! Learned a lot of different things. I'd love to see a video in which you recommend different items we should keep an eye on for buying in the store. You mentioned a few of them here but if there are some more it could be it's own video. We could start buying them up if its for a good price for the end game crafting.
I will help you out. Water quintessence can be mined off of a rare elite wolf in the great cleave hiding in a cave just north of the outpost on the right. Its called blue eyed something.
Grinding to simply get Into a games dungeon is so ridiculous. You should be grinding dungeons themselves. This mechanic will drive a lot of people away once they get over the initial buzz of levelling in a new mmo
I love gathering flint throughout my playing time and then selling it for dirt cheap when I get off the game. Every time I log back on I’m making free gold because people don’t want to go farm it.
Not exactly free gold though really is it, since you are investing time to collect the flint 😅 Plus it sells for like nothing on most the servers I've been on 🤷♂️
@@mrbrit6746 That's one of the dumbest things I've read, not to mention the reason you stay broke in New World. Flint sells for a MINIMUM on buy orders for 0.25. Depending on the time of the day, it can sell for up to 0.75 and I've sold for higher. Flint is a resource that's everywhere you go. You just pick it up as you spend endless amounts of time running around the map from location to location. Unless you just burn all of your Azoth. If I make a few hundred extra gold throughout a 2-3 hour gameplay session, thats a huge come-up. Stop acting like your time is so valuable that you can't be damned to collect flint. Makes you sound dumb af.
Have you tried to use armor that gives you reinforced luck on mining or other profession? Are those stackable? I love your videos, keep up the good work!
The armours that boost luck are pointless unless you join it with the trade foods. Eg your base luck is 50 and you get armour to boost it 10%. That is essentially nothing. However if you eat some food that gives 1400 points then wear that same armour you gain 145points which already almost 3x your base. I did cooking from day 1 and it has made lots of gold. It's a consumable everyone needs. From pve to pvp. Just for start boosts. I then use the ridiculous amounts of earnings to simply buy mats to lvl up my other crafts so I don't have to wonder the country side chopping trees.
One important thing to note is your server population. Busy servers will have more higher level players, therefore the needs of these players will reflect in the TP. If you are on a lower pop server it’s going to be a longer wait for everyone to reach max lvl and require those sought after materials. Great content tho
This is exactly the type of video that one would make….if they were trying to dominate a particular marketplace in an online game without any competition….. I’m keeping my eyes on you 👀

What is the Steel Spear bug?
dude you are making some great quality content that has been helping me a shit ton. Thank you! just subbed, keep em coming!
Would argue furnishing, not jewelcrafting, is the hardest to level up bc you have to find most of the schematics and rare/epic ingredients for any significant xp gain. Surprised this video didn't even mention it...but late game, is super important with trophies and storage
jeeeeez, alot of this went right over my head ... is there a video that explains some of this stuff before the mega end game content?
Thank you for your time. I horde a lot of items except for things like flint. So easy to farm up. I go to a small island in the west and run in circles around the outer edges looting flint. By the time I get to where I started it's all respawned. Fast, Easy and saves bank space.
Really helpful info bro. Thank you so much for making this video.
Legit this might be the most helpful video you have made to date.
Thanks a lot! It is very helpful to learn about such things.
Awesome vid my dude! 💪
Wow super valuable information here. Thanks
Awesome tips man.
I suggest you 'love heart' some of the comments you like. Might seem like something small, but I think it's impact is overlooked.
Thanks for this! I’ve been holding onto everything because I wasn’t sure what was going to be needed or not. Great video
I do want to let you know that if you use the gathering foods, you are more likely to get rare materials from resources. Example, I've been using herb roasted potatoes that give 1400 luck when mining, and from two rotations of mining (about 351 weight at the time) I got about 20 Fae iron.
Amazing guide Seth!! Thank you so much. Shared it with my company
Very good video. You did a very good job on this video. Thank you.
Fantastic resource - thanks!
Appreciate it Nicolai
alright, this is well done. thanks for the researching and sharing the info. subbed!
By far the most useful New World video I've seen.
Thank you for teaching sir.....learned a lot.
Gathering luck and crafting luck stats are not for your main gear. They are swappies, unless you’re in an area where mob density doesn’t allow for quick gear swaps. The exception is logging and mining because you need 300 con or str to oneshot a tree or mining node
Yup this is a good way to look at it! You will need many sets!
Great video! Learned a lot of different things. I'd love to see a video in which you recommend different items we should keep an eye on for buying in the store. You mentioned a few of them here but if there are some more it could be it's own video. We could start buying them up if its for a good price for the end game crafting.
Great video thanks for the info!
I just love how your channel is growing, I think I was here sub 1k, this is just quality info as in all your vids, so thanks and keep it up :)
Crazy valuable video. Subbed.
I will help you out. Water quintessence can be mined off of a rare elite wolf in the great cleave hiding in a cave just north of the outpost on the right. Its called blue eyed something.
Just an FYI your constitution was at 309 but you don’t get anymore stats once your constitution hits 300 so 9 of those stat points were being wasted
Very informative, thanks.
learnted alot cheers man, subbed.
Great informational video very clear and to the point.
Very useful information! Thank you!
Been leveling jewelcrafting and is soooo hard... finally hit 150 today
Great video thanks man new to mmo level 40 right now and i have learned soooo much from this vid
Very informative thanks very much!
"you'll need to get these orbs unless you have a group of friends paying for you to enter" It's called being a tank, orbs are the DPS tax :D
I will never even get close to farm that legendary key, so insane farming that will make ppl quit the game !
Grinding to simply get Into a games dungeon is so ridiculous. You should be grinding dungeons themselves. This mechanic will drive a lot of people away once they get over the initial buzz of levelling in a new mmo
@@Dale.Woodall Yes, I hope they fix this mechanic or at least make it easier to get those keys.
I love gathering flint throughout my playing time and then selling it for dirt cheap when I get off the game. Every time I log back on I’m making free gold because people don’t want to go farm it.
u really sell flint on AH ?
@@eklazhward4739 yes. Flint is the easiest sell in the game. You’ll even often find buy orders from people trying to buy it for cheap.
@@bigpopppapump Sounds like I hit a nerve? 😂
It's just flint dude, chill! Time is money, friend!
Great video. Incredibly helpful.
you shouldn't necessarily sell white flux and stuff. you need specifically white to make low level furniture stain i think for example
Pretty sure it only requires 1 tuning orb for the entire group to enter, so you need 1 person with stonecutting 200, not all 5
Lazarus orb is 1 per week, so if you want to do multiple runs you need multiple people with the skill
Some mats are untradeable
For silver- Canary mine was the spot i found to get it. ALSO there are other foods that boost the Gearscore of crafted items.
Great tipps!
Nice Vidéo man im from silk road on the tomoachan keep grinding:)

I’m keeping my eyes on you 👀
Precious metals are used in some Engineering recipes too.
I came to see what items to keep so I can sell the rest because my main storage is always so full. Only to find out all the things that he listed ARE the things taking up all the space.
This man bouta single handedly drive the market
What get rid of white refining mats... you need them to make weak solvent for furnishing ...
you can farm a wolf in a den outside of great cleave. I always get 1-2 Water Quintessences. However you might need mining luck gear
It's funny seeing so much of this stuff up for sale super cheap yet iron ore is expensive 😆
Yup get it while its hot!
Quick! To the market boards!
Dude on my serve selling 30000 silver ingots .13
Kinda nuts
The amount of iron ore you need to power level most skill trades is crazy, I'm running my iron route every day getting about 4 to 5k ore plus all the other alchemy stuff.
