Even if Tango never offically released a game with a gaming company, I think the games he has made on Minecraft have 100% left a mark on the community and with his name and brand on it. I think it would have been way different if he'd released a game with a company since so many devs often go unnoticed or unthanked. Tango is a great content creator and game creator, what a talent!
Agreed. Decked Out has inspired a family member of mine to make a gaming district in one of our worlds. Every time we watch Tangos videos my family member gets inspired to keep working on his own projects in the gaming district.
You know that's a very interesting idea. Gaming companies should look at bringing in design consultants with a little bit of star power. Kinda like what Hideo Kojima does for a game. There's room for indi or mid teir game companies doing the same thing.
It's a skill very few people have. You have to be constantly thinking about what is coming next, while also paying attention to the conversation so you can anticipate the dead air and jump in to keep things moving.
Tango is my favorite RUclipsr/Streamer because he really doesn't notice his own natural charisma, and it's great. He has everything that the bigger Hermits do, but he doesn't utilize it because he doesn't recognize it in himself. He's just naturally hilarious. Impulse is my very close second favorite for some of the same reasons, but also because he throws 110% into everything he does and it's a LOT! Skizz is absolutely comfortable in his own skin and definitely the most outward about his personality, and I love that about him. You put all three of these guys in the same room (literally or virtually) and magic happens. It's a perfect combination of hilarity and quick wit that I just absolutely love.
I gotta say, Impulse, even if you didn’t feel very comfortable when you were grouped with the Southerners, you created some of my favorite moments in that series (and this is coming from someone who mainly watched Grian’s perspective back then). When you walked in on Mumbo complimenting Grian’s back and said something like “uhhh, that was a weird thing to walk into” I died of laughter, and when you hunted down the last wither skull for Grian, I was on the edge of my seat. It may not “come naturally” to you, but your content is amazing.
The success of the Life series for me is the balance of tech dudes and theatre kids. Impulse, Tango and Etho all ground the crazier shenanigans because they witness it like we do as the audience but they get to respond or just enjoy it how most of us would. We're not all witty either so it's relatable to be sometimes bemused at some the theatrical antics. This was discussed better on the always sunny pod with their discussion of having a side character play it straight to juxtapose the nonsense of the main characters.
Yeah, it's kinda hard to hear Tango and Impulse say that they don't feel as 'natural' as Grian or Scar - because as much as I love Grian and Scar, those guys can be loud and talkative, and the 'Life' series absolutely would not work if everyone on the server was constantly competing to suck all the air out of the room. I think Grian gets that and has been very smart about the mix of people he's invited.
I'm gonna need an episode with Scar. If I have to start the GoFundMe so help me I will. And here's my weekly petition for Mrs. Tango to be a guest on the show as well.
Definitely wish Scar could do it in person. Even if Impulse and Skizz had to go to him. Who wouldn't want to leave the desert to get rained on every day?
@@teenieesperanto2 The truth of the rain comment made me spit my tea. As a fellow Oregonian, living on the coast, I feel Scar's pain every time he mentions the endless rain. It would be so fun to see the two of them come to him, and get a taste of the Pacific Northwest. But, I feel like it may be more of a remote podcast episode for Scar, either way, getting him on would be amazing!
Skizz doesn’t give himself enough credit. He’s so humble. The moment you start praising his talent, it gets uncomfortable for him and he wants to move the conversation off himself. He is truly awesome!
Honestly I think it's uncomfortable for him because he is friends with so many people who do this for a living but he hasn't quite reached that point himself. It seems like he doubts he can actually do it. I think he can, he just needs to find something to make himself stand out. He's more than capable. I just hope he doesn't feel stuck in the shadow of his peers. He's a wonderful guy and great entertainer. ❤
@@Recabilly Skizz totally has that voice and character that just draws you in. I think it's what give balance to this podcast. It truly is something that you either have it or you don't. He totally has IT.
1:09:50 hearing Skizz talk about Martyn's freeze frames and then seeing Impulse use the same concept in his latest vid, I can see the inspiration! It worked out so well for Impulse, I'm so glad the technique got mentioned here. "THEIR BACKS ARE _TURNED_!!" was so funny Impulse's dramatic editing in general this season has been insanely good, adds such a nice flavor to the episodes. I also just like when silly minecraft videos get super intense editing, I think it's hilarious!
I'll be honest I can't understand a word of the Redstone skadoodle language Tango speaks but his humor, personality, and genuine joy keep me coming back for more. Cheers Tango ☕️
Something I found interesting is how you spoke about people like Mumbo and Grian just being a natural. I’d be really interested in a conversation with them about that, as I don’t know how true that would feel to them? They’ve both spoken about struggling with either content or anxiety, so it would be interesting to hear what they attribute to being so successful Brilliant and interesting episode!
The just deciding this is your job, is kind of like starting your own small business. I one day decided to start a sticker business, and it snow balled into me making pet portraits, and now I support my family financially making stickers of peoples pets. I get so many eye rolls, laughs, and disbelief from every day people when I talk about it. But you as content creators and other small business owners like me, need to be proud of how far we've come. It isn't easy, and takes dedication to keep going.
That's awesome! I love when people find something super cool, they fall in love with and good a good job at to the point they can support their lives with. Love the life you live! 💚
I think a really great guest to have for a lot of these conversations would be Beef or Bdubs - who were part of this big community in Mindcrack that essentially ended, yet life goes on and things change. I'm sure they'd have a lot of stories and insights about what it means to adapt to the changing times, algorythms, etc.
The resume conversation was so interesting to me. You talked about the resume gaps like they are a unique and new occurrence. I speak from experience as an accountant who decided to stay home and raise my children, I have not "worked" for 8 years. When I reenter the workforce, I will have a 16 year gap and will be 42 years old. That is terrifying.
That kinda surprises me. Where I'm living, many people start working part-time and / or get their kids into daycare. It still happens that mothers quit their jobs a few years when having children, but much less so and a lot shorter 6 than when I was young in the early 2000s. I guess it's something heavily dependent on culture.
I'm 20 and when Skizz said go easy on yourself it hit deep.sometimes we put ourselves under constant pressure because we know what we should be able to do,but we let the idea of that get ahead of actually doing it, enjoying it and appreciating the progress
That's pretty cool you are able to recognize that within yourself. I hope you have given yourself the permission needed just do it! I wish you a great journey!
Everyone is their own harshest critic. You see yourself in the mirror every day. You know every thought you have and every action you take. You know the worst of yourself, but never recognize the best of yourself. Whatever your self-image is, imagine that most of the people you meet will see you as 10x that person or more. I've led an incredibly successful life yet most of my closest friends who I have known for 30+ years are the only ones who could tell you how full of self-doubt and self-hate I am. I've called them absolutely beside myself in tears because I didn't think I was worthy of speaking at some national convention in my industry. I've written them lengthy messages about how I don't deserve their honest friendship because I myself have been a bad friend to them. I've sent them and their families on all expenses paid vacations for their birthdays because I felt like I didn't make their Christmas gift thoughtful enough. And yet every time I talk to them about how I feel that I am of no value, offer little to the lives of our friend group, behave way too selfishly, and as a whole don't deserve anything I have - they set me straight and remind me that I am worth something well beyond my money and that I DO deserve to be in the position I am in. Many times they remind me that if they were in my position they don't think they would do the kinds of things I do and that of our friend group that grew up together since we were 3-5 years old they are glad I was the one who ended up being wildly successful because they don't know that they would provide for everyone the way I have and make sure that everyone and their family is comfortable. It's all perspective at the end of the day. I see myself as a piece of shit that got lucky. They see me as a person they're lucky to know.
I actually am the office manager for a pest control company in Phoenix. As an older guy it really is weird to tell people that I enjoy playing Minecraft. It’s seen as a kids game and people don’t see the depth and technical skills that people have in this game. All in all love your guys content and it’s awesome to see how chill you all are.
I just want to make sure that Tango and Impulse know that introverted people can command attention too! Because they're absolutely worth listening to. Everyone has their strengths and should be loved and admired for them. I loved this podcast. Good work gentlemen.
Just wanted to say that Impulse and Tango's POVs are always my favorite in the Life series, and the ones I watch first. Something doesn't need to be overblown, or intense, or super fancy to be interesting; I like your how POVs skew more to just, yourselves in the world. Sure, it's fun when people are causing chaos everywhere, and those people do end up becoming the 'main characters' in the fanbase, because they're part of a dramatic story, but personally, I really love examining the quieter characters; the dedication to one's team, the fun, genuine games (everyone feared that You Bet Your Life would be a scam for Tango to steal lives, but at least to me, it was obvious that it was just what Tango seems to like; an honest game for everyone to have fun playing), the storylines that play out (Impulse is always, always very dedicated to his team; you stayed with the Crastle, the Southlands, Bdubs, until the end, and always did your utmost to make sure everyone could do what they wanted, whether it's set a trap, summon the Wither, have a clock, etc); I absolutely love your POVs, and find them most enjoyable, because I'm /not/ having to always worry about "oh, they're going to go attack/threaten someone for no reason because they think it's funny and dramatic, right?" And I appreciate that. Of course I know that not everyone has the same perspective; there's a reason that Ren and Martyn, and Grian and Scar, are such prominent figures in fanwork. But I wanted to say that your POVs are not ignored. They are not boring, and I love how your own style and flavor of playing Minecraft and being with others factors into how you engage with the Life series. Thank you.
I totally understand the whole sensory aspect of writing. I've actually started trying to write just for the feeling of it. Even started trying to take my time with it and make my handwriting look nice.
Same. I am legally blind and I write very slowly. But it's so calming to just sit down with a pencil and paper and relax. In case you don't know, legally blind means I have some vision, but not a lot.
@@SolitaryGrave143 Would be bad if it suddenly was illegal to be blind. Suddenly you'd have blind gangs sticking together against the police, leading to blind violence... it'd be a mess, and they wouldn't even be there to see it.
I usually listen on spotify on the way to uni, but for this one I figured I just *had* to watch. You guys being so comfortable around eachother is super relaxing to see and Tango seems like the perfect first guest. While doing a bachelor in product design right now, Tango's eye for game mechanics has introduced me to game design to the point where it will be my minor next year. The three of you always make me laugh, thank you so much.
Just want to say a big heart felt thank you to imp and skizz for sticking with this podcast venture. The respect for you is un-measurable. Also tango is the best sport and I would love to see him as a full time member. Keep it up .
Honestly, you guys are entertaining because you don't aim to entertain firstly. Like Tango sort of said: by getting comfortable being you on screen something happens that makes your content entertaining on top of being informative, inspiring, competitive, ambitious, creative or whatever else. It really is a gift you guys have and it is what makes you successful at what you're doing. I really hope you guys will continue to flourish the way you have. I really enjoy seeing what you come up with over and over. It's always fun and fresh and inspiring. (And it makes me not see Minecraft as a guilty pleasure but as something that creates sunshine in my life :)
I know this isn't the first time Skizz has talked about his handwriting, but every time i think of my mom's handwriting bc they actually taught her that in college when she was studying to be an architectural engineer. My mom has different handwriting styles, and the all caps is one of them. I've never had the patience to adjust my handwriting much beyond elementary school, besides my edited cursive i came up with to get a decent signature that felt natural
Wow that was a fast 75 minutes! I've had the chance to meet Impy, Tango (and Mrs. T who was a hoot!), Sizz and Zed at the TitanCraft meetup back in 2018 and Guude, Bdubs, Paul Soares Jr., and Coestar at Minecon in Las Vegas and one thing that really struck me is how humble and nice they all were. During Minecon Mindcrack was *huge* and they stood around with fans talking for as long as they could. Same with the ZITS crew at the TC meetup. I'm glad they've stayed humble and keep producing awesome content.
1:00:00 impulse saying that he and tango are kind of just “also there” is almost a little funny to me bc they’re genuinely my favorite povs to watch in life series
Oh my goodness. Tango. As someone who was diagnosed in the last year with previously undiagnosed adult ADHD, a lot of the life experience you're describing really resonates with my own. The suite of experiences you're describing -- struggling to disengage and relax and watch TV, having lots of creative ideas, deeply analytical and aware of complex structures, even having 'bad' handwriting -- are quite emblematic of the ADHD experience, and it may be something to ask your doctor about. Starting to grapple with it was scary, but actually getting that diagnosis was really empowering, and helped me identify new tools to add to my arsenal. I'm not a medical professional, but it might be something to turn your mind to, assuming you haven't already. :) ANYWAYS, I paused the podcast to type all that out, so while I'm here I'll add that I am really enjoying it!! It is the second of the Imp and Skizz podcast that I've ever consumed, and the pace of this episode has been fast-paced and dense enough that I've had to pause it a few times to let my mind chew into a thought or concept before starting it again, which I consider a very high and positive compliment. I started watching/listening to the series the other day because of recognizing Skizz from Empires S1, but getting to know everyone showcased so far has been really nice! :) Take care, and thank you for making this episode and sharing it!
I'm just so so happy to see this!!! Finally!!! He's ON THE SHOW!!! You three have like, the best dynamic, seriously. The life series has been a spectacular showcase of that. And may I be the first to say that Tango is like the most relatable human being. ever. As a creative myself I find new sparkly ideas (as I call them) to be infuriating --- I just want to finish ONE project PLEASE instead of get sidetracked on a sidequest of mini projects. I'm incredibly excited to see that this is a multi-part episode, but I'm not sure if I can wait a whole week. And if this doesn't prove that you need to get all your minecraft-buddies on for the show, I don't know what does.
Okay, first of - Tango being there with you is great! Cant wait for Part 2! Secondly, what he said about the quality of the podcast I totally agree with, though I really hope you're also happy with it at each stage its at, because you put 130% into everything and I dont want you to burn out. This needs to continue
we get it Tango, Imp, and Skizz, and I'm your age (actually older....by a lot) and I get what you do. but yes, it does indeed take a certain breed (gamer) to know what ya'll do for a living. for myself, I am thankful that ya'll do what you do. it is a major portion of my entertainment. My family is like, do you watch TV, news?? i'm like, nope i watch minecraft videos for my entertainment. so keep up the good works all of you!
as a former content creator, I totally resonated with the concerns regarding "what do you put on your resume?" HOWEVER! I will say this...the most absurd thing happened to me a month ago. I applied for a job, it was random - I thought I would take a shot at it - I did not get that job, but because I DID put my content creation background on my resume, I was offered a totally different job that the owner CREATED for me to utilize my skills. It has been an awesome job!!!!! BTW - I love the podcast. Listening, rarely commenting. Thank you for uploading.
1:01:48 my favorite way I’ve seen creators address this is by adding subtitles above the persons head. It immediately draws my attention to it as it isn’t normal when they do it haha
I've been hyped for this since the idea of Tango coming on was first thrown out, and it was everything I wanted and more. Having all 3 of you together was just wonderful and so so entertaining. Very excited for part 2!!
Dude, the Decked Out 2 Frost Castle (I am sorry I don't remember the name) is the COOLEST build I have ever seen! The amount of preparation and time to just build is crazy! Tango is the first Hermit that I found and I loved his ability to build huge crazy things and explain what he was doing. Then I loved his interactions with Impulse and started watching his videos. Skizz is a new Hermit that my first interaction with him has been the current season of Limited Life and he getting killed multiple times in the first episode! He's hilarious and a ton of fun to watch! Thanks to all three of you!
Can I just say how wonderful it is to hear you guys talking about how it took you all some time to find your passion and get into content creation, and make a career out of it? I'm turning 30 this year and I've only just gone back to school to learn programing formally. It's something I've absolutely found a passion for, but I've kept feeling so late to the game, as if I should have known this coming out of high school and gone straight into uni for a bachelors in IT. That you guys are doing something I admire and find inspiring, that you're making a comfortable living out of it, and you're saying it's something you had to find your way into rather than hitting it right in your early 20s? It makes me feel a lot more confident in myself and my ability to succeed, so thank you for that.
I am a professional ttrpg gm and I resonate heavily with the "so what do you do for work" question, because people just think that things that can be considered hobbies can't be work, and they just don't understand the level of attention and energy thats needed to be put into something to allow others who do watch or play as a hobby be able to have a super great experience.
The talk about hocky is so recognisable. I started rock climbing last year. It also has a high barrier of entry because of the gear, but also the classes you need. But it is so good for both my physical and mental health it really is great
Talking about people who are absolutely hilarious without trying is something i know all of my friends need to realize "oh I'm not funny" girl you're the funniest person here I'm only funny because you set me up perfectly because my humour relies on others. You're independently funny.
Honestly, everyone has an amazing sense of humor in their own regard. Mine is to reference stupid memes/vines like "Weedeater" (a veggietales "why did the chicken cross the road" joke) and the duck song, the best piece of animation, music video, and storytelling to exist. But like, that's okay. And I love referencing stuff, niche or not.
30:33 CHALLENGE: each Hermit has to swap with another Hermit to edit their videos from raw footage whilst trying to make it as close to OG as possible. The fans and Hermits will then vote on the videos to elect the one that scored the best and closest rendition. Not only would this be a great challenge on a personal level, testing the Hermit's skills, but it's also a funny one, cause for sure some personal glam will leak into another Hermit's video. Imagine Bdubs with Etho's editing. :)
I love the dynamic you three have together! I started watching Impulse and Tango back in season 4, and between S4 episodes I went back to watch S3 episodes. I still have my D.E.R.P. t-shirt (and ALL the giggles associated therewith), the first MC related merch I bought. I really want to see Skizz become part of Hermitcraft in S10. I love the shenanigans on all the "Life" SMP episodes, and HC can only benefit from a liberal dousing of a libation named Skizz. Now, onto binging the current Limited Life content while I "watch" my CNC machine make chips...
I like Tango and Impulse's approach towards Limited Life. Each episode needs some type of goal to advance the story. Glad Impulse was okay with something dumb happening. A few more dumb things couldn't hurt. The more maniacal, the better.😊
What goes on a resume as content creator? So many more things than anyone in a corporate job would be able to put on their CV for just doing their own job. You guys through your youtube careers have experience for years as: - Media producers - Entrepreneurs - Video editors - Graphic designers - Producers - Social media managers - Sound designers - Content Creators - Creative talent - Community managers - Sales managers - CEOs - and many other things
Yeah, it's genuinely a crazy amount of work. Of course, they're probably not as good at editing videos as a professional editor doing lots of different kinds of projects, but still, it's not like they wouldn't have a massive advantage if they ever wanted to pursue that in particular. Same goes for the other things you mentioned, they can't specialize fully right now but it does mean they have so much experience in a lot of fields.
1:03:30 You can see Skizz scheming how to use what tango is saying "I feel like I am just here to point a camera at you in in a good way, I want to see what you're doing and saying." His eyes just get so far away and he's just quiet for that split moment that you can see he is scheming how to use that to get tango looped into a scene more. Now he knows that Tango watches him so much Skizz knows he can draw Tango in more. And Impulse too, it's going to be fun to see that happen in real time because Skizz is darn good at what he does not just improv, but intentional improv where he knows what he is going to do, he just doesn't know how until the moment happens.
As a guy who doesn't know how to write a single line of code I can relate to a game developer hearing tango criticize their game I've worked construction jobs my whole life and I have been the guy who did to work and then the homeowner criticize the work
“To shoot arrows with” was genuinely so funny I had to rewind and rewatch that part of the video like three or four times as I watched it 😂 You guys (all three of you!!) dont give yourselves enough credit. You three are so funny and I and so many others enjoy watching your videos for YOU!! Keep doing what you’re doing 💜 (also Skizz for hermitcraft s10 pls 🥺)
this is....inspirational, clear cut. im a university student second year, currently i have 2 games on the go both im trying my best to get them to be noticed and awarded at the end of the year AND at insomnia. Understanding tangos choices and reflecting (even though he took a programming path and i am on a art one) ive woken up in my room after going to bed at like 3am and up for a 7h day of class its like.....what am i doing here....why. i wanted to be a chef before i learnt this was a thing. would i ever give it up, nope, i love it. i love the stress and the feeling of relief when you hit that deadline and the feeling of determination when you miss one. the biggest inspiration for me in this is learning that getting something to show by 20s - 30s is a thing you might want. and being in uni i have that now, i have a portfolio of....stuff..XD things that prove me to myself. i dont know, but hearing this and me being me i just had this moment of reflection and understanding of myself and it was just, a moment, where i was like. this is it. regardless of mistakes ive made im here and even though im not the best by far with my companions, i have a sense of belonging in my career. i know this is cheesy but if tango dose see this, thanks
Personally, I think the world would be a cold, sad place without cheese.😉 Its, at least, honest. Being comfortable with honesty needs to be a good thing.
The whole thing about what advice you would give your 18 year old self really made me think. And I think my advice would be "You're allowed to say No." It's something that I only recently started to learn, and learn to do. Wish I would have been able to/known this before. Edited for spelling.
This is my first chance to check out a podcast and i am so glad it was this one! Side note -Cracks me up that Skizz has this super serious job with his personality! Love all 3 of yall! 💚
55:15 Impulse LITERALLY described my college roommate playing WoW… only it was our college dorm, not her parents basement. Pizza boxes and (code red) Mountain Dew cans included. 😂
It's annoying how as we get older the humility and self doubt really gets us when it comes to career changes. When we're young we're like we can do Anything. I'm fairly certain if we just re-adopt the learning mindset that we could transition perfectly fine especially with a big picture boss/leader.
27:31 I am currently in college for Journalism and actually this ENTIRE semester is about content creation and social media history and how to get a job in that space. It's a super big space, with tons of options for income, topics, and lifestyles. I am both concerned and excited for the future of the media business.
So, Tango and Impulse, we love you guys! You don’t understand that you are both so interesting, you have such unique voices, personalities, and storylines, that we, your audience, are always interested in you as part of the group. Yes, Martin, Skizz, and Scar are naturally charismatic in their ways, but so are each of you. You simply don’t understand that aspect of yourselves, but we understand and love you, maybe because of that a bit. ❤ Know this.
Hey! I just wanted to say that I love watching your povs for the life series! As an active member of the fandom, you have no idea how well you are feeding us, even if you think you only provide crumbs. Keep up the great work
Another great podcast. You three have a great dynamic and I love watching it. Can't wait for next weeks too. This one had me grinning and giggling nearly the entire time.
I have been into the world of Minecraft only since a couple of years and I've been following you guys from the Life series which made me look into your individual games on Hermitcraft and all thru the rest of your individual channels. I have a huge amount of respect for you all as content creators and ace gamers.
Man, it is SO awesome to just hear you guys chat and watch the conversation flow back and forth -- it's always cool when people you admire are friendly with each other, but to see the real depth of friendship here is both fascinating and inspiring. Especially from fellow adults -- the friendship and the camaraderie and fun in a group of other people who aren't students, who have also families and lives and past jobs and experiences... it's just nice. And seeing the stories that go back a decade in some cases makes me excited for where you'll be in another decade, and also where I and MY friends will be in that time. Seeing people grow together is just such a cool thing -- thanks for this "peek behind the curtain"! (also, Tango: you are 100% an entertainer and all it takes is the first few notes of your intro to bring a smile to my face, especially on bad days. Thanks for all the content you give us; I don't think I'm alone in saying that it's gotten me through some rough patches the last few years -- all the hermits, really, but I think most fans have their couple favorites, and you are one of mine. So thank you for that.)
I can't even form words yet, but I love this podcast, and yessss please bring more Tango and others, just have fun with it! I always look forward to the Imp & Skizz Podcast and all the hermits, their friends, all the fun interactions is what makes me happy and laugh. Getting to experience these fun times as if I'm a fly on the wall, because I'm disabled and it's hard for me to even play games, go out to do anything, so I watch streamers/youtubers/etc. But you all have made life so much better for me and my partner of 9+ years, we watch all the stuff and bond over it, laugh together, cry together, RAGE with Tango together LOL!!! So, thank you sincerely for creating this content for people like us. I know it's a hard job, harder behind the scenes than the people you have to be in front of the camera, but good things usually aren't easy, so yall are doing a great thing here, keep it up! I've been trying to get my parents to watch this podcast because I've already learned most of the lessons yall have brought up through my own life experiences, transformations, and I'm always open to keep learning and willing to take constructive criticism, because we never stop growing mentally & emotionally. But my 60+ aged parents still need some help with communication and really listening and seeing changes in other people they've known a long time and already form an impression of, they are getting better though and treating me like the 35 year old adult I am. I'm hoping by showing them some of these podcasts, they'll realize and be able to put 2 and 2 together with how they've acted, reacted, and treated people. All good things come when we least expect them and all things happen for a reason, we're all connected as humans and we all go through trial and error problem solving not only to adapt to situations we're put in, but improve them and our instincts to survive are strong. When we're self aware people and have an open honest line of communication with patience, empathy, respect and consideration for others, that's when magic happens, it's important in any relationship, whether it's platonic or non-platonic, partners, family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, etc. even pets in their own special way of communicating with us, we just have to learn how to listen, read body language, and figure out how to respond. Anyway, thank yall so much for these podcasts and everything else you do, all that hard grindy work, I hope it's worth it in the end to yall just as much as it feels like to us, I don't like the term fans that much and I'm mostly a quiet lurker on videos, but I thought maybe this time I should comment. Much love and respect for yall and I'm so happy your families also accept and encourage yall to do what you love, that's very special to have. 💙🐕🦺 (For any of yall, feel free to try and pronounce our names, we kinda want to know xD my name is 'Xiahtic' and my partner's name is 'Kai'. 🤣hint: there is no z sound! and Mrs. T got it correct on stream!)
This is just the best. Tango is phenomenal, Imp and skizz are amazing, and the three of them (plus Zed of course) is just a world of wonder. In terms of notetaking, I actually write everything in a private discord server because there's so much flexibility in organization, reactions, formatting, and I'm always on Discord. I love so many of these questions being things we see on stream, like the Tektopia thing or the ideas process... Tango's so transparent and open in a way that many others aren't, especially on streams. And I've been around his content long enough that I've seen that whole long switch from technical and informative to entertaining in some way, and it's fascinating to watch and I love every second of it. Tango needs more confidence! That's what streams are for, behind all the playful mockery lol
Joe was talking about his trip to the UK on stream yesterday and got asked what he did for a living at a comedy club and I can't imagine the amount of embarrassment about that being laid out to people who don't understand
Good Lord I needed this so bad, this was great! It's him enough when you guys shoot the breeze in game, but watching and listening to you guys doing it like this was next level and I need more of this
On the whole sports tangent, I would love to see you three try disc golf. Not only is it a great activity for some excercise, especially courses in the woods. I can just imagine Tango going deep into molds, flight numbers etc and just trying to build the most optimized bag, Impulse especially with the druming background going into form and learning perfect timing of release and angles etc. And Skizz just being in the moment, totally zen, enjoying nature and having fun.
I would totally buy his game just because of what I've seen him do already.
For sure I still think about the multuple iterations of the Tangler that he used to make.
You know that's a very interesting idea. Gaming companies should look at bringing in design consultants with a little bit of star power. Kinda like what Hideo Kojima does for a game. There's room for indi or mid teir game companies doing the same thing.
I think they released some games from what he said, but he wasn't happy with them as the development always took a bad turn .
“the life series is a couple tech dudes hanging out with a bunch of theater kids”
i had to pause the video to cackle at this cause it’s SO TRUE
Yes! But that what makes theater WORK, you have to have both!
God that got me. I had to pause it too cause I couldn't hear over my own laughter. Very on point.
I need the time stamp
@@NickGreyden what’s the timestamp?
Me too. I laughed so hard my side hurt 😆
Me, "The Tango episode!"
My husband, "that's not Tango. He's got the wrong cup in his hand." 🤣
Hahaha!
😂
Tech dudes and theater kids! That was perfect. I can’t imagine how great Skizz and Martyn would be if they were just let loose.
Haha! As a theatre kid hanging out with my tech friends, this made me laugh.
The ultimate podcast goal? To have every hermit in person. ( Even if X and Etho were behind a curtain, I'd take it).
That would be amazing!
X was a "head" at Minecon, why not have X and Etho as "heads" sitting in the chair, it's 2023, we have the technology!
Maybe other members of the Life series as well. The ones who aren't hermits like Joel, Scott, Martyn ect.
X and Etho could just be audio like a call in show
Get X and Etho some Vtuber models. 😂
@@SolitaryGrave143 Joel and lizzie together would be amazing
Every time I hear Tango talk about stuff I think he's so charismatic. He's got just the right mix of silly and serious
Perfectly put 👏
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous...
Tango is very humble and far from self absorbed. I believe he is the funniest hermit. Saying alot there, the bar is very high on hermitcraft.
Skizz is a natural host. He really knows the questions to ask to get conversations going.
It's a skill very few people have. You have to be constantly thinking about what is coming next, while also paying attention to the conversation so you can anticipate the dead air and jump in to keep things moving.
He's a good actor, he knows to listen and interject. Actors have to know the natural flow. I truly believe he'd make an amazing classical actor.
Taking the words right out of my mouth
Those 3 are dynamite together, I love everything they do.
Definitely the dream team.
Agree! They all 3 derserve the best!
Where's that fund link!! This needs to happen! Oh and MrsT.... Her laugh alone is worth gold!!
@@KristenABales haha same, but I'm in BC, mostly as SW you can get in the coast
Very much so, yes. I would say travel out to him to make it easier on his parents.
I think all of them are but only Skizz can just say 'NOPE moving on--' lol
the way tango talks about mrs t is so incredibly heart warming
💓
Bdubs would be a great guest on your show! would like him to be more integrated with your group.
Heck yeah! Get the Boomers together!
Bdubs is hilarious, I would love this.
Totally!!
He’ll need a booster seat
100% Bdubs on this podcast would be absolutely legendary.
1:09:50 hearing Skizz talk about Martyn's freeze frames and then seeing Impulse use the same concept in his latest vid, I can see the inspiration! It worked out so well for Impulse, I'm so glad the technique got mentioned here. "THEIR BACKS ARE _TURNED_!!" was so funny
Impulse's dramatic editing in general this season has been insanely good, adds such a nice flavor to the episodes. I also just like when silly minecraft videos get super intense editing, I think it's hilarious!
First impressions... Sad that Tango wasn't sitting on Skizz's lap due to lack of space.
Thank you for another podcast!
So cool to hear Tango's thought process!
My dude

Im the 100th like on rays comment
1:04:20, Impulse you still had the BEST aha bit, the one that Martyn left in his video. Makes me giggle to this day when I think about it.
do u remeber what his AHA was?
I'll be honest I can't understand a word of the Redstone skadoodle language Tango speaks but his humor, personality, and genuine joy keep me coming back for more. Cheers Tango ☕️
Skadoodle, crunchificate, dumb w/extra dumb sauce.... These are very technical terms! Like doohickey, thingamajig we old tech ppl use to use! Hehehe
Genuine joy. Very accurate. I've always thought you can hear the joy in tangos videos.
I understand nothing. My brain goes insane.
Something I found interesting is how you spoke about people like Mumbo and Grian just being a natural. I’d be really interested in a conversation with them about that, as I don’t know how true that would feel to them? They’ve both spoken about struggling with either content or anxiety, so it would be interesting to hear what they attribute to being so successful
Brilliant and interesting episode!
Coming back to this one, I need to appreciate how rare it was to see tango out of his dungeon.
The Dungeon Master graced us with his presence
The just deciding this is your job, is kind of like starting your own small business. I one day decided to start a sticker business, and it snow balled into me making pet portraits, and now I support my family financially making stickers of peoples pets. I get so many eye rolls, laughs, and disbelief from every day people when I talk about it. But you as content creators and other small business owners like me, need to be proud of how far we've come. It isn't easy, and takes dedication to keep going.
word. amen. totally. truth. whichever affirmation works. yes.
That's awesome! I love when people find something super cool, they fall in love with and good a good job at to the point they can support their lives with. Love the life you live! 💚
You found your niche. I think that's where a lot of people fail thinking they need to go too broad. Focus on what you do well and execute.
Good on ya!
@@emeraldrain9403 awe! Thank you!! It's been a tough journey with many fails but lots of wins. You have to just keep going.
@@morosis82 very true! Finding you niche is super important! Once you've found it, then you have to figure out how to keep making things for them. 😊
“What is this foreign thing!?” Referring to a pen and paper has me cracking up but it is SO accurate 😂
Yup, definitely a part of many, many women's lives.
4:20 this cracked me up so much
"I just figured out how to do clank" 😂
Personal favourite quote: "I can't go back to programming, I don't know anything anymore."
I totally feel that.
I love how relaxed and close the three of them look just hanging out in the same place. Clearly they are all great friends, and it’s so nice to see!
40yo software tech lead for a billion dollar company. Love playing with my kids.
Thank you.
Phasmo dev: yay, people playing my game!
Tango: this game needs load outs 🙄🙄
Phasmo dev: Write that down! WRITE THAT DOWN!
Whats a load out?
Lol funny
". . .AND PUT IT ON FILM!"
From everyone here we would enjoy this.
"That's not gonna happen"

@@KingArthurDent This comment honestly made my day 🤣
@@SolitaryGrave143 I'm glad :D
While blindness is no laughing matter, if we humans can't have a little fun with our misery things would be even worse.
Also, woooo! Tango being a New England transplant! 🎉
You 3 deserve the world. I was all smiles through this entire podcast.
Tango’s genuine reactions in limited life are my favourite part of the series! I couldn’t stop laughing when he realized the tower was crooked
Tango needs to make a game. He can create content from developing it. Get on it man!
I would love to see him colab with Iskall to make a decked out type vault for vault hunters
He kinda made a devlog while developing mods for minecraft. Tektopia was an awesome mod that overshadows the village and pillage update
These guys have no idea how relatable they are to people with ADHD. I️ know it’s a coincidence but they still might have some tips for us.
Yes, definitely.
1:00:00 impulse saying that he and tango are kind of just “also there” is almost a little funny to me bc they’re genuinely my favorite povs to watch in life series
I love how genuine and thankful Tango is while streaming, makes time for both stream and talking to co-streamers, it’s really great :)
ANYWAYS, I paused the podcast to type all that out, so while I'm here I'll add that I am really enjoying it!! :)
Take care, and thank you for making this episode and sharing it!
Tango & Impulse being "tech dudes hanging out with the theater kids." Yeah. I can relate. Thank you for all you do. (You, too, Skizz.)
😂 Sizz IS drama people! ❤
52:05 Fun fact: "Growler" is English slang for a part of the female anatomy, so your hockey league is called...you know...
I like how chillaxed, comfortable and in control Skizz presents himself. It really makes the podcast run so smoothly.
I really love how you all complement each other in very specific ways, showing you genuinely feel that way.
4:25 “I just figured out how to do clank “ 😂😂😂 omg yes 👏

I saw this on my podcast audio, but I wanted to see it on video because I love the trio of the SIT Gang!!
Tango is so easy to listen to. He's so charismatic and engaging. Certainly meant to be a content creator
Taaaango. Great content fellas. You guys are a great example of friendship.
Mumbo did smth like that in a hermitcraft ep actually
You guys through your youtube careers have experience for years as:
- Media producers
- Entrepreneurs
- Video editors
- Graphic designers
- Producers
- Social media managers
- Sound designers
- Content Creators
- Creative talent
- Community managers
- Sales managers
- CEOs
- and many other things
Yeah, it's genuinely a crazy amount of work. Of course, they're probably not as good at editing videos as a professional editor doing lots of different kinds of projects, but still, it's not like they wouldn't have a massive advantage if they ever wanted to pursue that in particular. Same goes for the other things you mentioned, they can't specialize fully right now but it does mean they have so much experience in a lot of fields.
The pest control guy 🤣
I hate that RUclips doesn’t ad this to my notifications even though I have all notifications on for this channel.

You can see Skizz scheming how to use what tango is saying
"I feel like I am just here to point a camera at you in in a good way, I want to see what you're doing and saying." His eyes just get so far away and he's just quiet for that split moment that you can see he is scheming how to use that to get tango looped into a scene more.
As a guy who doesn't know how to write a single line of code I can relate to a game developer hearing tango criticize their game I've worked construction jobs my whole life and I have been the guy who did to work and then the homeowner criticize the work
The difference is that Tango was a game dev as well.
That homeowner probably never touched a sheet of drywall in their lives.
“To shoot arrows with” was genuinely so funny I had to rewind and rewatch that part of the video like three or four times as I watched it 😂
You guys (all three of you!!) dont give yourselves enough credit.
"The tech nerds hanging with the theater kids." This is why I love hermitcraft/the life series - nostalgia xD (says the former choir nerd)
Love that Tango's in the house! Been waiting for this since they started the podcast.
I'm so excited there's a Part 2!
Me too!!
Keep up the great work
Yeah, every detail and person matters. And us fanartist... and fanwriters... take literally all the bread crumbs we can get.
My three favourite content creators!!!! Awesome...
OMG it took me 21 minutes to realize that you guys are in the same general location that I live in. New goal unlocked: Meet Tango, Imp and Skizz...
We need an episode with Zed
Joe was talking about his trip to the UK on stream yesterday and got asked what he did for a living at a comedy club and I can't imagine the amount of embarrassment about that being laid out to people who don't understand
Good Lord I needed this so bad, this was great! It's him enough when you guys shoot the breeze in game, but watching and listening to you guys doing it like this was next level and I need more of this
When Tango said that line it was absolutely golden, I clipped it and sent it to so many of my friends XD
Thank you so much for that, Skizz 💖
Tango and Impulse~ You guys are still awesome in the Life series. Dont put yourself down.~
Another awesome episode guys! Super cool to have Tango on with you. I really loved the Limited Life recap! Cant wait until part 2!
