How to set up a Heli-Safe Tubing Kit!
The Heli-Safe can now be fished in conjunction with Korda Tubing by using the Heli-Safe Tubing Kit. The conversion kit allows the popular Heli-Safe System to be used, retaining all of the usual features of a traditional helicopter set-up and giving you the ability to drop the lead if you need to, whilst using TUBING! This now opens up the possibility to fish a Helicopter set up on venues with a Tubing only rule!

Took me two hours to get three rods set up. The sleeve doesn’t slide easily over the dark matter it just keeps breaking the tube. The dark matter doesn’t push it the bottom section easily either had to drag it through with a bait needle. Used once and one kit fell apart. Good idea but needs a re think.

Nice system for when you need to dump the lead around snags or thick weed but once complete with tubing a Korda lead a bit of molded putty flying back lead and a rig looking at about £10 a chuck .a nice system but too expensive to complete

Very difficult to put the silicone tubing on dark matter, keeps breaking when pulling on I wet it and been as gentle as possible, when it is on I dare adjust the silicone tube and bead as I'm worried I'm gonna break it on the bank then I have to do a complete set up again which takes so long with that silicone tubing, defeats the object really, shame.

The rig tube doesnt enter in the tubing ....its too difficult !

Couldn't you mold the tubing to the sleeve that goes inside the heli safe. To many bits plugged together in my opinion. The heli safe is wicked with just a line saver bead. Straight through

really struggled to get my dark matter tubing through the kit, even tried another tubing kit as i bought 2 sets and both were really difficult , it definitely didnt slide on like that did. but once on its a really good set up to get over leader bans

I had the same problem mate even with saliva you will break the tubing before it even slides on

Stick a splicing needle through the tube, the pierce your tubing with it and pull back through, then chop off the end of the tubing where you’ve pierced it. Thank me later 👌🏼

A little late to the party here but…
This works far better with ESP tubing (Sorry Korda) I just can’t get the sleeve over the dark matter tubing without ruining it.
I also threaded the line through before putting the hat on the tubing because it will never ever thread through once it’s through the tubing…

Try the dark matter nano tubing ( if your mainline is thinking enough )

If you dump the lead then this system is redundant as the carp will carry the whole system around… don’t dump leads, really no point..

Sorry, but this seems to fiddly 😂. I can go with your heli safes and fish em naked with a thick mainline or I am going with leadcore. But this, it’ll take 24 hours and Liam Neeson to tie this rig 😂

Korda what is going on silicone tubing does not move freely up the dark matter tubing trued olive oil silicone spray etc just breaks the dark mater tungsten tubing👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 would like a refund
