I bought this game when it first came out, and man it was sooo amazing!! It was around ff10 and Pokémon in the glory days so this game just worked back then and still does today.
around this time there were quite a few really good staple RPG'sand JRPG's released but ff10 trumped them all in marketing so they weren't wel heard of, i remember seeing a megaman X Turnbased Rpg, Reading the guides for wild arms 4, it was great the ps2 and snes had some of the best rpg's to date but ff10 kind of ruined it for smaller studios when it launched.
This game was a legend, I demand a sequel. This MS saga have all Gundam and related robots from GM up to Wing and G Gundam episodes. I hope they make a sequel up to Gundam Build Fighters episode.
For those who are planning to play this game, its not THAT hard. Believe you me, my brother and I finished it with JAPANESE language. The local store did not have the english version and it looked like it was the only decent game they had at that time. Though we did took so much time the no. of hours played on save file stopped counting after 99:99 hours, thats cause most of the time we did not know what to do next, language barrier XD. But we finished the main story, defeated all elite boss on the world map, openned all Gsystem, and got all the collectible suits including the burning gundam but not the ones on australia. The only thing we did not finish was the legendary australian hell. We simply ran out of unique items, we spent it all during the main quest. I still remember memorizing some Japanese characters, i remember that two smiley characters next to each other means it was either Fritz's name or poison status.
I'm glad more people enjoyed this game! It is a little rough on the edges, but I absolutely love it. It's one of my favourite PS2 JRPG and Gundam game.
Played this 12 yrs ago n cleared everything. For those who fought ultima & omega gundam n beat it for the final Master Gundam parts, feelsgoodman.Memories
I got about halfway through it as a kid then came back to it last year by ripping it and playing on PCSX2. It's a super comfy game, especially with save states on the nigh-impossible lategame optional bosses. It's kinda funny how some plot threads are just completely forgotten tho. The character design is pretty hilarious too. It did get me to finally watch Gundam series other than 0079 and 08th MS Team, which is kind of a curse since now I'm committed to watching all of them lol. 0080 and 0083 are goated at least. Anyway, other SD games are more like turn based strategy, so maybe this being a JRPG hurt sales, who knows.
This is the hardest rpg I've ever played. This is the reason I had to sell it. It is so brutal, that it's not fun playing. I loved it in the beginning, but later it gets tedious. It's much harder than digital devil saga.
@@touvang6770 nah man. This game WAS hard in a few fights. I had so many times where I was stuck for a couple hours. This game was a satisfying challenge in its genre.
I remember this game fondly. These ppl whining that it's too hard just suck at games. I don't remember it being that hard. I've definitely played games that are way harder.
it's not even that hard, just takes time and preparation. Pretty much EVERYTHING is determined by the mobile suits' stats and not the characters' other than when you get a new healing ability or such. So many of the abilities/boosts were awesome XD
Hello sir i have question about open chest in ms Saga a new dawn. Do u have to buy a tool or something? Because what i was playing couldnt open chest in ms Saga a dawn please fast respon sir🙏🙏
Great game overall but some problems include. Rare drop is too rare, ECAP L is not enough, suit is quite limited. They have f 90 and V gundam weapon but not the suit.
This game needs a remaster, remake everything. And i would change the turn based strategy for something more updated but everything else like storywise would play it dozen times again. Love it
Couldn’t finish this game cuz my brother sold our PS2 for cash while he was borrowing it for a DVD player when he was in college...still super fucking salty about it
sigh....another one you either spend good money to play or pirate... interesting game. but ain't doing much if it ain't reasonably obtainable. this only made it to PS2.
Yea the chili aspect is kinda meh. But I loved this as a kid. Grabbing gubdams from the different series. Customizing them. Was great. Kinda grundy sometimes. But id love to play through it again
what I wonder about for the writer not touching it: the stats. In the artwork for the book/etc, you can clearly see much higher stats than what is achievable in game. Even with the best possible gear, it's only a small fraction of it
Wow... i had no idea there was a Gundam JRPG. I wish this was ported to PS4 with trophies. I'd love to try it.

If you have a PC just download the ps2 emulator to relive it.

They just gonna make gundam breaker, sadly
Game sucks

Don't know what this PCSX2 is but I must find out because I must play this again. Thank you
its one of my favorite games and still is

This game wasn't hard, just admit that you suck at it.
I managed to finish it, I even got my hand at Burning Gundam (God Gundam) at the Arena....
If you play your card right, it wasn't really hard..
@@touvang6770 nah man. This game WAS hard in a few fights. I had so many times where I was stuck for a couple hours. This game was a satisfying challenge in its genre.
If my stupid 10 years old of me can beat it, then i dunno who you are... xd

Ah. I remember this game. In fact, this is the game that introduced me to the Metal Saga series, which evolved to become the Metal Max series today.
I am so glad I got this game in 2006 for £6 the guy lost the case so I bought it. From this day I am happy its still in my house. :)
So you aren't here to laugh at me because I had to pay more for this game?
@@InfiniteBacklogGameReviews as long as your not bound by earths gravity.
I still remember the horrors that await you in Antarctica to this day
This game has some of the hardest fights in an RPG for me. My only complaint really is Tristan's goofy outfit and run animation.
Kinda a G reco design in my opinion.
all of the characters portraits going grey from 1 attack triggered me lmfao
I remember this game back in the day. I had wing zero gundam and tallgeese
tallgeese is not a playable mobile suit in MS saga so stop trolling ppl around
no dude I had this game in brazil in English I played to the beginning to the end the Gundam I used was zz gundam
I have the CD ps2.. can it be download in phone??

You need hacking tools to open them. You find them as you go through the game and later on you can buy them.

Well you should check out front mission series then it is different but it's a good mecha rpg with dark story

loved this game
Feels like a lost opportunity, a Gundam RPG actually in the Gundam universe would be far more interesting.
So why is this game so high on price??
Probably because it was discontinued and good luck finding a intact copy.
@@MaxHDAvenger I was able to get from my store for about 50 something.

reminds me of Xeno Gears
Time to burn this on a disk 🤣
In anime heterochromia is kinda common.
This sounds like a dream Gundam JRPG until you realize they're all chibi Gundam :/

So a gundam game that doesn't have space combat 😅
I actually found my old copy back in February and I'm so glad!
