Okay. I was on 200mgs a day which is the maximum for some years. I have reduced to 100mg last week & tomorrow is the start of zero mgs. Most times I've tried to reduce I have had to go back on. Original diagnosis was chronic depression & chronic social anxiety. With counselling & medication I have beaten depression & when it tries to return I know the steps for success. My anxiety hasn't been as successful, though I still try to work or talk to people. This is the reason my doctor wishes to try another type of medication.

I watched this video along with your other excellent video of the mechanism of action of SSRI's. I've heard a lot about Sam-E as a natural alternative to prescription depression medication. Can you please do a video on Sam-E, it's mechanism of action (like the video you did on Sertraline), side effects, etc. I would like to know how Sam-E compares to prescription depression medications. It would also be helpful to know how someone currently taking SSRI's can safely reduce their dosage of SSRI's by incorporating Sam-E into their daily supplement routine, with the long term goal of getting off of prescription SSRI's completely and using Sam-E as a natural alternative.

@@HealthRX That would be great!! I would keep the channel for now and make things easier on yourself so you can just focus on the creative/content process. You can always change or add a channel at a later date and re-upload your videos. I follow Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, Dr. Sten Ekber, Dr. David Sinclair and others who offer great content. You are the first Pharmacist that I have found that has a great knack for presenting information in a straight-forward, easy to understand format for the average consumer. I think it would be great for each medication you review to perhaps mention a natural alternative, and then provide a link to the "natural-alternative" video for ppl that want to learn more. Like many, my latest focus is to find natural alternatives/supplements/herbs, etc. that have a similar function to a pharmaceutical with minimal or no side-effects. I am trying to limit the amount of medications I am currently taking and trying to lead a more healthy lifestyle. These doctors I listed have provided me with so much new and insightful information my life has changed so much for the better. I can see your channel growing for the same reasons. Keep up the great content. I'm sure your following will grow. Always ask ppl, if they likes or enjoyed the content to share it at the end of your videos and provide links in the description to other related videos.

Thank you for noting the entire effect of so-called SSRI's not being fully understood. This is all too commonly neglected in every phase of medicine and science readings in general. This is very unfortunate since mystery immediately arouses curiosity, the very essence of the spark for one's impulse to research, find cause/s and mechanism/s: The Unknown.
Incidenntly, relative to that SSRI-effect, it seems similar to the leukemic effect when Pro-WBC's are not unfolded, and in pancreatic insufficiency effect, where zymogens are not unfolded or activated. The feedback loop is short-circuited thereby, and more pro-enzymes are pumped out (to exhaustion perhaps) or more pro-WBCs. Hence the feedback-loop shorting over bathes the receptors, but also dissipates resources in synthesis and eventually we can only expect deleterious results.

@@theresaward206 I am not doc but i know that if she has mania she should stop. Beware of mania, psychosis, emotional bunting, desinhition. My son committed suicide under disinhibition. There are possible problems. Check.

Best wishes to her. Btw she should not stop ssris in one go. She should talk to different docs and decrease doses slowly. There are risks with withdrawing.
