I was so blessed and continue to be blessed by her example and journey through cancer. She transformed my life and view of how beautiful and honorable death can be. I pray for often and ask for her prayers. Please pray for my marriage, and that I have strength and wisdom to live according to God’s will for my life.
Hoping Lamar sees this message, but I was recently at Mass and witnessed how patient and loving Lamar was with his energetic children. My friends also noticed and we all appreciated his example of fatherhood. May our Blessed Mother keep his family close to her Holy Family always.
What a blessing to have a loving, caring, holy, praying, wonderful spouse/family while sick & dying. I think along with the faith first and foremost, support is huge. With out it, more suffering, but God is close to the brokenhearted. Thank you Lord
Jessica was like a sister to me, our kids call eachother cousins. She is so missed, but she without a doubt left a huge impact in our lives. Onward to sainthood, soul sister. ❤🙏🏻
Was crying throughout this. As a fellow cancer patient who has been avoiding treatment due to wanting to avoid suffering as a young woman in her 20s, this certainly gives a refreshing perspective ❤❤❤
God bless Lamar and the Hanna family. Truly a man of God who is an inspiration to so many, myself included. May the RISEN LORD pour His grace and mercy on you and flood you with His love, brother. God rest your soul, precious Jessica.
Lamar is a great guy and a great friend! The Hanna family has help us so much! even when Jessica was going thru so much with her fight, she took the time to help a stranger ( my wife) in a time when all our hope was gone! Our family has been fighting cancer for 8 years and she always found time to help us with whatever we needed. God bless Jessica! and her family as we continue our fight and will always pray for her and her family!
I can relate since I also lost my wife to cancer in 2023. We were totally unaware when it hit. We are definitely living on borrow time. Though I missed her terribly, I know that God wanted her home.
When Jessica passed I felt such an absence of spiritual inspiration. But Lamar you have picked up your cross and shared your journey with us, and I honestly feel you picked up where she left us off. Thank you for sharing your story and your wisdom, it is such an inspiration. I can completely see how God and Jessica are working thorough you and they must be so proud. You are definitely on your journey to sainthood as well
She really moved me, as many do, we all fear death, but to welcome death is such a moving and inspiring thing. You know she truly surrendered her life to God. That is amazing. God bless to Lamar and their kids.
some of us do not fear death....we fear more medical neglect & abuse, suffering alone without love in our lives, advocates or simply living without help or support. Death is the easy part.
@@maryanna682what are you trying to prove exactly? Jessica gave us a brilliant example of faith through charity, a living faith that bore wonderful fruits on earth. So why can’t I hope for her to become a Saint? Why can’t I pray for her to become a Saint? Ultimately it’s up to God to decide, but casting doubts on a wonderful person like Jessica is very uncharitable.
@@joannaabiallam I never said that. I said that all believers are saints according to Paul. If one has truly trusted in Christ and has faith in Him, apparently we are all saints. Catholic church changed the meaning of saint, and they decide who is and who isn't according to one's works. Bible doesn't support this
Jessica had a very big impact on my faith journey as well. What a "normal" family that did amazing things in regards to their faith. Thank you Lamar for carrying her torch and for supporting her social media presence during such a private and emotional time.
Jessica and now Lamar as well are such a wonderful inspiration. I had heard about Jessica's page a little before she passed but ended up really looking at her content and becoming familiar with her after she passed. I truly believe this woman has to be a saint. Thank you Lamar so much for sharing and continuing her page! God bless you and your family!
Lamar is an amazing man and follower of Christ. It’s no wonder that the Lord placed Jessica with him. I am so grateful to him for continuing her instagram page for all us followers who learned so much from her and who deeply grieve her loss and earthly presence. She will always hold a piece of my heart and I pray for her daily and for Lamar, the children, her mother, & siblings. May God bless Lamar and their family 🙏 ❤ 🙏
Lamar, you are carrying on her legacy first and foremost with your beautiful kids. Thank you for continuing her important work. I'm so very thankful that St.Gianna brought Jessica and I together in our sisterhood. She was our "spiritual support sister" on earth and now, I know, her powerhouse offerings have the weight of heaven behind them. I cannot wait to roll up our sleeves and get to work spreading her story of trust, love and surrender to God's will. ONWARD my friend, ONWARD.
This is very sad. I didn’t hear of this before. Lamar is probably a saint as is his wife. I think that he is an inspiration more than just your average inspiration. He’s brave. He’s humble. He’s vulnerable and he’s amazing. Thank you Lamar I’m so sorry that you had to go through this but once again, you guys are saints, that’s a tough act to follow for all of us. God bless you.🙏
The daily rosary is really really hard with young children. But I agree it is vital to keep it up. It is a penance! I have family who stopped the rosary when it got too hard with their littles and then their family broke up and I really really think that was part of it. Mama Mary knows we just try our best and She will fill in the rest and present it to Her Son! Jessica’s story is so inspiring. And her husband is so holy and inspiring as well. God is so good. This was an incredible interview! I’m so glad you had him on, Lila!
My father died suddenly when I was only 7 years old, so I have so much compassion for Lamar and his young children 🙏🏼. It's a blessing that they were spiritually prepared as I believe this will prevent them from long-term trauma. I'm also glad he addressed that cancer itself is not a blessing, but of course, God can turn everything around for good. May God bless Lamar and his family 💗🙏🏼.
Penance, yes, it feels that way when praying the rosary with young children. Thank you so much for reminding us about our Lady's request of the first Saturday devotion. God bless you all. Thank you, Lila.
Your whole family are heavenly gems. Prayers for Jessica! Prayers for Lamar and their beautiful children. Special prayers for Jessica's mother and family. #Onward 🙏✝️🙏
Thank you for this encouraging interview. God bless you, Lamar. I discovered Jessica's Instagram page just a few months before her death. I do believe she will be canonized a saint here on earth one day. Lord rest her holy soul Jessica pray for us🙏❤️
Thank you for having Lamar Hanna on and sharing Jessica's beautiful legacy! I read your description last night and prayed, and remembered to pray in my Rosary this morning for his family and yours. Happy Faith-over-Fear Family Friday, Lila! Thank you so much for your dedication with these podcasts and for continuing to be a beacon of light in this world helping to focus on so much good!
I have now had 4 cancers (7th remission) and consider cancer to have been a blessing. I would do it over - and may HAVE to do it over. Yet, cancer completely reset my perspective. God had actually prepared me for this, as my faith had been growing ever since receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit by our parish priest. At the end, I had three simultaneous blood cancers and my atheist hematologist called my 6th remission "a miracle." I underwent a stem cell transplant and now deal with rejection issues for the remainder of my life. Yet, what a blessing! Praise God for His grace and mercy.
prayers, dear one. Please consider trauma therapy and release - along with toxins like mold, MtHFR mutations, childhood adverse events are linked with autoimmune (I have a few but starting to heal) & cancer.
Praise God for this powerful witness! I pray for you and your family, Lamar, and for your beloved wife, Jessica's, soul very often. "Any good coming from me is from God, and the rest is from me". One of my fav. Saint quotes!
Thank you so much for this beautiful witness to God! I pray for Jessica to intercede for my sister in law Linda who is also going through the suffering of breast cancer. I'm sure Jessica is in heaven. Thank you for this amazing content filled with so many spiritual truths.
Thank you both so much for this interview, firstly Jessica's story touched me deeply, and now testimony of her husband ❤ THANK YOU for being brave followers of Christ and example for us brothers and sisters in Christ
And thanks for your great community posts! After reading the great commenters, I realized I accidentally misread your post about saints on a plane, thinking you meant which saints we'd choose to talk about. Not which saint we'd choose to talk to! I'd choose 4 for Saint Joseph!
Thank you so much for this interview. I am definitely going to follow Jessica's instergram and pray that we all can learn from her and her family. ❤ God bless us all 🙏
JMJ. It’s very important that you spiritually prepare your soul by contacting your Parish’s Ministry to the Sick & Homebound. This assures receiving the Sacraments. Confession, Holy Communion, & Last Rites/Apostolic Blessing. This is why Cancer or any notification that death is near, is a Blessing. You have time to prepare. Liz & I were married 50 years. I’m a cradle Catholic (1950) Catholic Family, Catholic school etc. Liz had COPD, Small Cell in one lung, Non Small Cell the other. No Spleen. I was her primary care giver for 18 years. She was spiritually prepared the Ministry to the Sick, & daily prayer life(Rosary). When able she went to Adoration, Confession, Mass. We watched EWTN on TV when she couldn’t attend Mass & prepare for the Acolytes to bring the Eucharist to our Home. Father would come to our home to hear her Confession. Several hospital stays she received the Eucharist. The final ICU visit she received the Last Rites with Family present. Fifteen minutes after she passed (6:45) Father & Deacon offered the 7:00 Mass for her. He called me. So all this happened because she is Catholic & blessed to know she was dying. I believe that she was blessed to know she was dying & had time to prepare. So if you know a Catholic who is dying, make sure they contact their Parish for Ministry to the Sick.
The church’s teaching is NOT that most will not be saved. That is a sermon that a saint gave… St Leonard. That is not official church teaching. Read the Divine Mercy. God has a merciful desire for the salvation of all men. Strive to enter by the narrow gate….do everything you can and never despair for the soul of anyone. Pray for them as God lives outside of time and He can apply those prayers to even souls long dead. Clear that Jessica was a very blessed soul and may she pray for all of us
