- We get the Polaris 850 Pro-RMK back on the snow to see if it's running properly. The exhaust valves were fixed and hopefully it's pulling over 8000 pm.
Sleds:
2024 Polaris Khaos 9R 155 325
2022 Polaris 850 Pro-RMK 165

1k congrats Jason!!!!
Thanks! Now let's go for 2K!
2024 polaris 9r 155, rpm titanium can, have not got it on the snow yet! But am very excited to see how she rips
I’d like to know your impressions on that can. I was looking at it too. It will rip for sure 👍
My rpm chambered titanium will be here tomorrow 😁
@@jackblack9432 Need some sound clips!
2011 800 pro ride 163 2 3/4 stock track . Also have 2005 900 rmk 166 with 2 3/4 track thing is a monster.
New '23 9R Pro 155 w/2.75 . Other sled is a '21 Alpha Mountain Cat 154 w/ 3". Next year I'll add the Catalyst
Nice steed. The 858 I presume
Did you change your exhaust system on the 9R ? Sounds awesome!! Thanks for the great video!
I had “The Thing” on it from Sled Shed. It sounded awesome for sure and cooks your lunch!
2020 800 khaos 155 2.6 track. Clutched, gear down, and bikeman powder can. 10k elevation and it rips, but life is short and looking at a new 155 khaos 9r.
You’ll notice a big gain in performance with the 9R coming from an 800. Especially the acceleration 👍
22 matryx pro 850 165" 2.75 with a tki gear down kit and a can. Thinking about checking out a catalyst 858 when they come out. Getting really tired of @polaris bullshit with these recalls and not getting them done in a timely manner...
That 850 just needs to be clutched. Lighter tip weight. Just get some ProMag weights and go light on the tip with the magnets.
24 pro rmk boost 155 2.75. Went back forth between 9r and boost but ended up on the boost. First Polaris and turbo sled, been on doo my whole life. Hoping for good results and tons of smiles.
The 24 Boost is supposed to be very impressive with its new tune
great content. my sleb goes brap brap brap. congrats on 1k. 9-4 says hello.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
2016 Polaris pro rmk 800 155", got it last fall. And I also have a 2009 Polaris rmk assault 800 for my sons.
I have a 23 Khaos 850 165 2.75... first ride today! Tentatively planning to snowcheck a 2025 Boost 165 3.25 and then convert the 850 to a 155. with a Composit M770 155 3.0. The 850 has electric start and I'm gonna get that on the Boost too. I'm kinda done with pulling cords.
e-start would be welcome!
2023 ski doo turbo r 154 3 inch. Would love to try a boost with the 3.25 track but the doo is a monster in the deep snow for sure.
How’s that track for trenching? Not bad? The 325 is a big improvement over the 275 when it’s deep.
@JasonCaville I find it's does great at getting out of the hole and gets up top pretty quick. Comparing to my 2020 alpha one 165 3 inch there's not much difference
Awesome, thanks. I’d like to try a turbo R 3”.
2021 polaris axys 165. New to me this year. Stoooked
Such a light, fun sled
I still have my 2022 khaos 155 with the 2,75 track. I am thinking about getting a 146 at some point bequse it wold be a better fit for the type of snow i ride.
Don’t blame the SLP can. I run one and it is excellent.
Another guy in our group put an SLP on his 800 Axys and needed to put lighter weights in after.
Switch from Polaris to Doo when they couldn’t get my snow check to me. Won’t be going back.. you doo or ya don’t!
just bought a 23 VR 1 Boost 129 but I'm not a powder guy
Does his sled have a aftermarket can.. pipe and Y pipe. I had a buddy that had that combo and acted the same way. It spent about 1 month at the dealer they replaced about every part on the motor. Long story short in the end they put the stock Y pipe back on with the aftermarket can and pipe. Problem solved…. Still a mystery but it runs normal 🤷♂️
Stock everything except the SLP can. Going to try running the stock can and a new belt next ride. Could be a broken reed like another viewer commented. Thanks for the info
Ya start cheap. 😂🤣 frustrating it’s not running right. Could be anything really lol. Injector
TPS recalibration
Bad fuel pump
Could go on for days 😂🤣
I’m sure u guys looked but make sure it’s getting full throttle also.
Update the end diagnosis.
Also pray for some snow for south west BC
Raining to 5000’ 🙄🥺
Hi Mr.caville here is Ranjodh
👋
I'm on a 16 sks 800 with a 163 2.6 composit track, it started doing the same crap last year only revving to 7200. Messed with it so much last year to no avail. Hopefully I get to the bottom of it this season. And If I'm lucky maybe I'll see what kinda deal I can find on a 165 2.75 9R this spring.
Check your Pwm converter if you haven’t already
I will definitely look into that,
Thank you. @@MyCooldude1997
Ooo, I see a new handlebar bag😉. Didn’t like the cat one😂
Haha it didn’t fit well. This one is great. I thought it would be in the way but it’s all good
I would recommend removing the EV cable from the actuator and zip tying it wide open then you know if it hits 8000+ rpm if so then that is your issue, this will not hurt anything, and it’s a simple way to diagnose where the problem lies! If that is the problem, then it can be two things either that EV actuator isn’t opening to full position due to electrical reasons or the EV guillotines, cable could be out of alignment or binding up
Great info thanks. We’ll be trying a new belt, then stock silencer, then your suggestion next ride.
What is the verdict on the 3.25?
It’s a big upgrade in deeper snow over the 275. I’m very happy I went with it in the 155 length on my 9R 👍
Hey how many km or miles do you get out of one of these motors with out rebuilding ? Thanks
Depending on how hard you ride, at least a couple thousand kilometres. Your dealer can usually tell you how many psi of compression your sled should have. Once it’s too low you can do a top end.
@@JasonCaville ok thanks for the reply 👍
I am on a 2014 pro rmk 800 163 anyone know how that compares to these new sleds?
The first time I rode an Axys sled coming off a pro-ride like yours, I instantly noticed the raised chassis, easier sidehilling, and responsive 800 HO. I also went from a 163 to a 155 so it was much lighter feeling on the front end. The Matryx chassis wasn’t as big of a change over the Axys as the Axys was over the Pro-Ride. The new 850 will feel much more powerful than your 800.
Try checking reeds on your buddies sled.
Will check for sure 👍
Was that Trent’s first time in DT basin?
It was. Pretty sure he liked it 🤩
Yes it was. Amazing place with some top notch views.
He should talk to Brent Linderman in the Pass about that 850 only running at 7200rpm. I'm sure he would know in minutes what it is.
@@shauncalladine Thanks, I’ll pass that along. Arctic Edge?
Correct! He is a wizard!
Hi what day was this
It’s a Polaris end of story
Sent you a message on insta

Hope we hook up some-Day. Have fun!
That would be so awesome! I know of a sled you could borrow
