Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out the video! I wanted to make one note about my thoughts at the end of the video when I discuss Feld’s interest in growing the sport via the game. I know this sounds like I’m promoting Feld, and with what’s going on right now with Lime-Gate, that doesn’t look good. But I wanted to explain to you that I personally do not like Feld. I think they are a corrupt organization that has hindered the growth of the sport of Supercross. And I hope that with what’s going on right now, some real positives changes occur. I do however, LOVE the sport of Supercross. And what I was trying to explain at the end is how video games like these may inspire future generations to own motorcycles or get involved with the sport as a fan. Whether or not Feld runs the series, I will always hope Supercross succeeds and grows. I hope that you can understand my viewpoint and don’t hate me for sounding like I like Feld. If it were up to me, I would prefer another organization owning the sport. Hope that clears it up. Thank you, Kellen
Just tried watching for the career. Sorry to say in my honest opinion it was almost you were repeating yourself just in different ways in this one. Will keep watching =)
I agree whips are different. I watched many youtubers and was bummed out seeing their whips, but Either I'm getting use to them. Or this guy throws some clean looking whips.
Definitely one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" moments. It seems that when you learn how to control the whip/scrub physics, you can throw some incredibly clean and pretty realistic looking variations in the air.
I think you got it right with a lot of this, especially the part about spending some time with the game and how they didn’t seem to replicate certain features of rhythm sections correctly. They oddly did that in Pro as well. There’s some really great features at certain tracks that are there when you play it, but they’re just scaled way down or don’t work right. For instance, at the Florida track, there was a huge quad in the back that not everyone was doing and Milestone basically turned it into 4 bumps that were meaningless.
I want Reflex 2 as much as the next guy but we have to erase 10 years of time and a multi-million dollar corporation going bankrupt from history to get it back. The crew working for Rainbow now is completely different than before it went defunct in 2012. Lost the code to the game when THQ had to literally pick up and leave their headquarters after filing bankruptcy
@@StartYourSystems how did they lose the code? and how hard would it be to recreate it... its been 10 years and they cant make an engine like reflex? that is sad to say the least. You hit the nail on the head talking about sim and this game, I know a lot of people that have bought sim and don’t play it because they can’t even ride straight, they don’t take the time to learn it, if milestone used jlv’s physics then I’m willing to bet the amount of people that stop playing that game would be monumental.

What you mentioned in the video resonated a lot with me just from watching "I wish they didn't force lines" I couldn't agree more, when you watch game play of any game from Milestone they all have similar features, that is forced lines. I think the reason they're doing this is they know how limiting their current physics engine is. You can quite clearly see how the Y axis of movement is scripted and "stiff" I think a big player in this is how the suspension is reacting, currently it looks like it is a switch off/on there is no travel. I really hope one day we get something that is that happy medium, I understand it has to appeal to the larger audiences.. In saying that, motocross/supercross is a small niche and the people who genuinely play these games are quite passionate fans, I would love to see an audience insight into who actually plays these games. For some reason my engine audio is bugged (PC) like it sounds sort of muffled, Spencer Turley mentioned in his review video the same issue so I assume it’s a common bug, however is it currently fixable? If so has anyone been able to?
I think the problem with rythm is because the bikes doens't have power, allways goes at constant velocity, at this point i think the game needs a proper clutch mechanic
I'll just stick to sim until some other non-arcadey MX game comes out. I love how sim feels so I'd love to see some game that feels like it but looks like this game.
Of course, I understand how the market works, and that the companies need to make the games suitable for all markets etc, but I'd LOVE to see some guy or company and make a game that is not made for the casual market, but for those who love the sport and simulators. We have too many casual MX games already.
I wonder how many copies they sell to casual players. People keep bringing up that these games need to be arcadey for the casual players but honestly what percentage of the player base is "casual". Motocross as a sport isn't that big. Most of the comments on social media want these games to be more realistic. I would love to know how many copies a game like this sells. I just can't imagine that a majority of the player base is "casual".
Jacob Rothman Just think of how many parents would see this game on the shelf and buy it for their kid just cause it looks cool. That’s exactly how I became a fan of the sport.
The physics in MESX 1 were the smooth and yeah, kinda too easy. I'm getting the second game today and hoping it's not what I think. So far the flow with MESX 2 seems... too slow.
@@some_doofus I've since bought the game and it doesn't really FEEL slow, it's different watching someone's gameplay versus actually playing yourself. It's definitely more challenging than the last game, I wouldn't necessarily say it's better than the first, it's better in some ways and not as good in others.
I spend most of my damn time OFF the track. I find the bikes really twitchy, and can hardly drive straight! It's my first MX game so maybe it's just a learning curve, but I've finding it tough. And the sheer amount of loading screens are sapping my will to live. There are loading screens for loading screens ffs!
The big mistake I tend to make s steering too much when doing rhythm sections because my brain is so wired into the PS2 physics of older motocross titles. Just keep your finger off the steering analog stick until you need to corner.

AussieThunder dude shut up, i could care less about milestone i just like motocross games. Im trying to be optimistic about the new game and i think the flow looks better on this one. I willing to bet you dont even ride dirt bikes so please fuck off. Thanks in advance!
AussieThunder i wish i did get payed by milestone. Then i would have got a copy of this badass game for free
For some reason my engine audio is bugged (PC) like it sounds sort of muffled, Spencer Turley mentioned in his review video the same issue so I assume it’s a common bug, however is it currently fixable? If so has anyone been able to?
mx sim or mx bikes which would you choose?
mx bikes
I think the problem with rythm is because the bikes doens't have power, allways goes at constant velocity, at this point i think the game needs a proper clutch mechanic
War thunder has a simulation mode but they also have an easier mode so maybe in the future they can do that
I'll just stick to sim until some other non-arcadey MX game comes out.
Is there a freestyle mode in this game
Gary Carlson hell no
Is this on pc or console
I might get this
Is there any 2 strokes in this game??
No there are not.
@@StartYourSystems Aw shiet I thought this game might have had them
There's two strokes on MX vs ATV All Out.
Fortnight #1 game. I get destroyed in it, long enough a casual player
im 9 and i am on level 24 what are you on
You think its worth a buy on nintendo switch?
If thats all that you have to run it, maybe wait a little bit and see what people are saying about the game on the switch.
Should make a outdoor motocross game ama
The heights are 5' 2" to 6' 6"
At 22:28 5th place is my neighbor
52 is my number!
That actually kind of looks like you lol okay maybe not as much as I thought. I was watching on my phone.
Looks fun, I don’t watch motocross or super cross or anything but it looks fun to play, not for $60 smh
I love this game other than the whoops and how in career mode u can't be on a factory or any team
I love this game so far but I have no clue how to start like my bike just bogs down kinda
Change the gearing maybe?
The physics in MESX 1 were the smooth and yeah, kinda too easy. I'm getting the second game today and hoping it's not what I think. So far the flow with MESX 2 seems... too slow.
Are the A.I better in this game
I pre order it rip
At the gate drop count to 5 then go
I wanted you to play monster energy supercross 2 on ps pro or ps 4
I nerd to now if my number available in the game#222
No its taken
Dylon Joe DJ Richard do you know if #103 is taken
@@Wehttam103 you can use that #
Dylon Joe DJ Richard thanks
@@Wehttam103 how can they be taken if 50k people buy this
Doesn't it look like you're WAY slower that the last game? This game seems like you're just crawling along.
It is slower for sure
@@some_doofus I've since bought the game and it doesn't really FEEL slow, it's different watching someone's gameplay versus actually playing yourself. It's definitely more challenging than the last game, I wouldn't necessarily say it's better than the first, it's better in some ways and not as good in others.
Shoutout to iRacing! That’s awesome, I love iRacing, definitely a recommendation for sim racers. Do you iRace?
On super 3 the have a 2stroke
you can get the hole thing free on xbox
I have to wait to next week as I left the updated payment till the last minute so don’t do what I did
Why don't they put Red Bull, Rockstar and Monster liveries, helmets, etc?????????? COME ON!
The game just looks overall slower
I spend most of my damn time OFF the track. I find the bikes really twitchy, and can hardly drive straight! It's my first MX game so maybe it's just a learning curve, but I've finding it tough. And the sheer amount of loading screens are sapping my will to live. There are loading screens for loading screens ffs!
The big mistake I tend to make s steering too much when doing rhythm sections because my brain is so wired into the PS2 physics of older motocross titles. Just keep your finger off the steering analog stick until you need to corner.
This game looks like it’s from 2006, play MXGP3 If you want a good game.
Hmm well, same company. Pretty similar physics. Exact same graphics engine. But I will play more MXGP3 since I like it too
