Hey nice car man! I have an eg also.. Great tutorial as this was what i was searching for. I am interested in purchasing a heat shield for my intake just like yours, where can i get one, or can you build me one? No need to cut out the intake pipe hole for me though as i can do that myself
If it’s degree Celsius then no the temperature opens around 80 degrees and you don’t want the temp to go above 95degrees. Remember water boils at 100deg but the pressurised system and coolant raises that point slightly. I would check the thermostat housing with a laser gun to verify your gauge is correct. If it is I would check your thermostat is operating correctly.

@@georgedagios The gauge reads from 40-120 deg Celsius. When I am driving it doesn't go above 80.
