A problem I have with this game is the community, or at least the Xbox one. It's majorly toxic as barely anyone helps you, even level 100's who could immediately rescue you with a senzu bean and then give you a pod to escape in as they get on a bike and go across the map in two seconds won't do anything (even if the raider is on the other side of the map). The excuse is "I'm just surviving get good" most of the time. People usually hide in caves or in the corners of the map next to time machines, and it's really depressing as any team I'm with usually never tries.
I used to really hate this game but now I’m insanely addicted to it. I think people should give this game a chance. This game is a built up for Xenoverse 3.
That's even more of a reason not to. Can't think of a shittier DBZ game than the Xenoverse series. Get a PS2 and a copy of BT3 and play a real DBZ game.
0:30 yoo I just started sonic rush adventure again, that game has some bangers! Edit: or is that a colors song? Those are the only sonic games I played as a kid so I mix up the Soundtracks From time to time
The vast majority of matches I played last night were survivor wins, yet I see so many people *still* complaining that raiders are op. Skill ceiling is an unavoidable obstacle that's going to drag this game down. Alot of people dont have the patience to learn how to play properly. Not saying the game doesn't need more content, because it desperately does, but there are people complaining who I'd guess have no idea how to navigate what little content we *do* have.
By "survivor wins" do you mean "I escaped on the emergency time machine?". Raider hit boxes are broken, this is a fact. Playing survivor was fun before the raider patch and the skill ceiling previously favored survivors. No surprise this game died now that the skill ceiling favors raiders (e.g previously playing Raider was harder, but the only ones complaining were raiders. Now it's a 7 to 1 ratio of "it's hard" complaints, which is why the game is dead).
@@amaze3727 escape time machines isnt a real survivor win in my opinion, more of a consolation prize. I'm talking about the super time machines and the raider getting killed. Wdym by raider hitboxes are broken? You cant fly in front of the raider and not get hit by shots? What specifically are you talking about because imo they aren't. This is what I mean by skill ceiling, if you're having trouble not getting killed by ki blasts that's more than likely on you. Obviously there's gonna be times when the raider simply has you cornered, but as long as you manage your escape tools and pay attention to where the raider is, you should be actively avoiding such situations. If you're in the situation and you're rolling on the ground to try and avoid the raider shots then yeah you're dead, you gotta play smarter than that.
@@amaze3727 "the only ones complaining were raiders" this game *forces* you to play survivor for the *vast majority* of gameplay, there are no people who are exclusively raiders or even mainly play raider ('raider mains'). Obviously most people do play raider since the average priority when getting a raider round is 5/8 or higher (at least in my experience since day 1).
@@jelloistasty On steamdb the game started declining ever since the raider patch. "The game forces you to play survivor for the vast majority of gameplay". Thank you, this is my point right here. Survivor was fun with low skill ceiling. This got swapped. And since you're forced to play survivor for the majority of the time, then you're forced to play a much harder role for the majority of the time. No wonder its dead, skill ceiling is so high for survivor (which you're forced to play most of the time) and not worth learning. There's no point in buying the game right now either, even with season 2 if you're intending to play with randoms. Reason being you'll be the only level 1 in a lobby with level 100 raiders. Have fun coming home from work or school or uni only to lose 10 games in a row as a survivor. That's fun right? "oh but that's because you just didn't spend 24 hours ig to learn how to win 🤓"
In my opinion it is because it looks like ripped from Xenoverse without improving on it and the three big bad bosses from Z took way too much time to be implemented. The interest lies in the transpheres, the items and raiders from Super in general.
Yo I just want to commend the editor for using the music from my favorite games as a kid. Only halfway through the video and I've heard Sonic Heroes and Sly Cooper (and AGL FP Frieza from Dokkan)
That's the problem. DB:TB is a team based game and the survivors don't wanna fuckin play as a team. Everyone wants to be the hero. Everyone wants to be "The Guy"
@@dylancross1039 that's true, and if it's not these kind of people, it's those who think they're playing hide and seek with the raider and don't bother reviving you or attacking him while he destroys the time machine
We need season two I love the game so much but we need season 2 so much and we need to spread the breakers fun so Bandai Namco can see that there's something good about the game.
Tbh if im completely honest the beta was so much better in every aspect. Sure the Raider needed to be stronger. But i feel they completely went overboard to a moment that Stage 4 is almost not worth getting to as a Survivor. it was incredibly fun to finally get the dragons balls and be able to hold off the raider for atleast a little while. Now its even hard to find good teammates who want to work with you. It doesnt need to become xenoverse at all thats not what this game is about. it just needs to make lvl 4 worth getting to All in all a really good game and a great concept. It just needs a little more love and fanservice.
If you have enough experience and the raider is not good enough, you can actually beat him down quite badly, especially if the others teammates attacks too
This is why I hate that so many games are so online focussed (other than the part where I'm just not a pvp guy in the first place) cause with a single player game if it's dead it literally doesn't matter you can still enjoy it to it's full potential without other people. But with this if there's no player base there's just no point. Every single ps2 game ever made is still fully enjoyable to this day but I can't say the same for a lot of modern games where even if they do have single player the multiplayer is often the main focus and the lifeline of the game. It's so annoying and a whole dbz game was wasted on something that ended up cancelling a season 2. Online focus is what makes games so killable in the first place.
I used to play this game DAILY, it was genuinely a fun experience I was in love with...and then the balance patch. You could legit play with randoms and still have a fair chance of winning. Granted it was luck of the draw as you would need a solid team to win even against mid level (Heck, even low level) raiders. But it was still fair. Best case scenario the raider is defeated, most likely scenario only a few players escape with the escape time machines. You match up against a level 100 raider and you could still win even if incredibly difficult. But now? After survivors were butchered and the raiders were drugged? It's not uncommon to see people either leave immediate upon seeing a raider above level 20. Or outright hide until the escape time machine comes out. What went from working together now became focus on yourself so you can at least survive. I rarely see people try and save others now. What went from a challenging possibility against a level 100 raider turned into "put your controller down big fella, it's his turn to play". This game, essentially, no longer supports playing with randoms. I can no longer play unless I have my buds with me because it's genuinely a frustrating near hopeless experience if you're a survivor without people to talk to. I went from playing daily to now playing biweekly whenever my mates can. The game is no longer fun.
Can someone tell me about balancing? I have been very skeptical about playing because it seems like game in VERY skewed in the favor of the Raider. Which is fine, but it doesn't seem balanced very well. Like Friday the 13th seems like it has the Raider very OP, but not skewed in his favor. Can't die, can break through objects almost always get pretty decent kills, but can quite frankly easily lose if you're not careful or strategic. But I could be wrong because I haven't played.
It use to be the following Survivor OP > Survivor OP > Raider OP > Survivor/Raider 50/50 All depends if your teammates arent a bunch of baffoons. If 6-7 players(or dragonballs with 4-5) are alive and Raider is level 1-2 then raider is better off destroying time machine before they get destroyed. If keys haven't progressed because players are lazy then raider will win.
I want to play this game i really do but it looks like the type of game only fun with friends. Not only that Namco clearly does not have priority with this game.
If your team isn't composed of three or more : Selfish guy keeping the Dragon Balls for himself when you have all 6 Guy that follows you around and wait for you to open a box to steal its content Trolls Guy that plays with his friends who's a raider and they gather the Dragon ball to 1v1 and kill you because they don't want you to interfere An hide and seek player A "I'm the hero" guy who goes willingly and alone against the raider with only level 1 change And some other kinds of player Then you can have fun! I hope I didn't removed your will to play the game
I knew this game wasn't going to last. I called it when the first trailer launched that this game would die extremely quickly because there's not enough to keep players coming back or invested.
I think it's a combo of no content, no cross platform, lazy players who don't help, and then really sweaty players who 1 combo the raider. 10m to get into a match, you lose because people are doing their own thing and not helping then you get the raider 2 hours later to get beat by a group of sweats with cheese toxic strats. It would be so fun with friends but who has those?
Yo are the 3 Idiots done? I haven't been seeing Doto on Rhyme or Seereax's content lately and the last video they said "Doto was busy". I hope things are okay. Either way, great video, Doto! Keep doing you.
It's kinda ironic how the switch servers are the most consistent compared to the Xbox and Playstation, rarely will you spend more than 2 minutes in a match, or even be disconnected
If they didn’t overly buff the raider and nerf the survivors the game wouldn’t have died so quickly. But the few players with skill issue killed the game for every one.
Well it's just..not what we needed. People can call it boring or whatever but I will always love dragon ball fighting games. This was a "it isn't broken, it does not require fixing." Kind of deal.
i still play this game every once in a while. i wish it was still a popular game, its a really fun game though and i would wish for everyone to start playing it
Also like how people still be selfish and just gaining power instead of healing everyone and actually play the game on how it intended to be like not fighting the enemy but actually leaving the place.
@@dantenadir2850 yeah, I think its good to become more powerful, but still taking time to Revive allies, I do it when they are close enough, or if I have my space pod ready usually
The game always reminded of Battle Of Z vibes ya know. I played the Beta and I happen to be one of the people who got Battle Of Z on PS3 before Xenoverse came out. I even had the DLC with Bardock Naruto! I didn't like the game that much, but that is just because it was a totally different genre of Dragonball Video Games.
I've been saying that since evolution came out. It's had the same bugs since PC release but instead of fixing them bandai would rather focus on adding shitty skins to the store no one actually cares about.
Honestly, this game has lots of potential, and maybe it can pull a SFV: CE tier recovery, but with the lack of any real content, it might be too late, but it's nice to have hope for this underrated gem. 🗿🍷
This never had any potential... nor is it an underrated gem. It was clunky and limited from the beginning. Max they can make is add all the villains from DB to DBGT and DBS in ... but the game has limited replayability, you do the same thing again and again, there is a reason why isometric games all died... this was never the exception... just a quick crash grab and run
@@steleryuji It's not that you're doing the same thing over and over, it's the gameplay loop has no variety. DBD popped off for a long time. Shooters are the same thing over and over but those still pop off. Battle Royales too.
@@mythicalthings1796 Yes because those games have a high skill ceiling and they're actually quality products. There's no skill ceiling in Breakers, it's more like "Your wallet vs The Killer's wallet" to equip better super attacks, and even then the game is skewed heavily toward killers. Even if it were properly balanced, the game looks and feels like it was developed 15 years ago.
@@mythicalthings1796 that's because those produce tensions, and clutch moments. Breakers has none of that. Also in shooters u can get a lot of new weapons (in battle royal there is rng). Here in breakers u got like 2-3 things that you always use and that's it. Again 99% of isometric games are dead, and last 1% have only a small hardcore base playing them.... if it wasn;t dragon ball themed, probably it would have died week 1. This game had limited, very limited life from the start

I think the main issue with this game (in my opinion) is that the devs don’t really understand how to balance this game for whatever audience they intend it to have and just keep adding self-defeating balancing changes in an attempt to cater to everyone while catering to no one. In the beginning they tried to lower the skill floor of combat by adding a lock on reticule and by giving everyone an invincible dodge on their right click. This made combat simpler to learn and get a hold of but it also drastically lowered the skill ceiling by making a reticule that aimed for you instead of using your own aim. it made the chasing part of raider more confusing to learn for beginners who struggled to understand how to make the relatively slow ki blasts (especially compared to the speed of bulma bike and the grappling hook) land properly, along with the fact super attacks on average where basically just a timing mini game on whether you dodge the attack with your right click or not. Then on November 18th they tried to help the newer Raider players with a buff to raider, there was a lot of changes that I can’t list here but the main problem was an overall buff to raider ki blast speed, hit box size, and damage. I can only assume they raised these because they understood that no amount of buffs to the super attacks would stop people from negating all damage with the dodge that was only really a matter of learning the timing, so instead they buffed the non-committal ki blast. Now instead of occasionally fighting the raider you had to run away because any raider could just keep their distance and spam their basic attack. Although these changes might’ve helped new Raiders, it also came at the detriment of every survivor player including the new players who had to play roughly 4 to 7 games just to get their one raider game. In an attempt to appease new players they short sightedley added something that punished them more all because at the foundation of it all the combat was just too simplified and hand holded to properly balance around. Eventually they’d tweak the balancing of some of the changes but the problem still remained, all of the committal options were to unreliable on the count of their easy to avoid nature, so the non-committal ki blast had to be the corner stone of Raider combat leading to a slew of Raiders who will refuse to commit to any other option just to spam at you from medium range. tl;dr A lot of the core issues come from foundational decisions designed to cater to new players, and implementing bandaid fixes that would drive those very same beginners away from this game. It sucks since I’m pretty passionate about this game, but Season 2 can’t save this game from its foundation and its developers.
Games still very alive rn, so it's still good and season 2 is right around the corner. Takes some time to get used to but it's a good time. Speaking as a person on a PS5/PS4. Not sure how Xbox/PC population is, but PlayStation is very alive.
Yes it's a bad idea to get it. Incredibly unbalanced, and unless you can fill an entire lobby with friends, it's generally not very fun to play. If you want the slightest chance of winning games as Survivor, be prepared to spend more $$$ gambling on a gacha system.
@@grapefruit7354 I'll agree with that especially if your team is uncoordinated. But there have been tons of times I've won since my teammates are coordinated as hell, like putting down keys immediately when found, healing downed players when they can, and collecting dragon balls fast. It's frustrating when ppl dont. (Lvl 100 survivor here)
Just buy it if it goes on sale that's what I was told and thats what I did 🗿The game is fun and I agree when they say it's unbalanced but I'm surprised nobody even mentioned that luck is a factor too. But even with all of that it's still fun.
The definition of dead game these days is when the game doesn't have much streamers or when the playerbase numbers you googled from a random website are low (despite most of them being inaccurate). People forgot that games are released GLOBALLY and not all players are from America and Europe. Most japanese made games primarily have Japanese consumers in mind during development.

Lol I played this game for 1 day and instantly forgot about it. It suffers from what I hate about 4v1 games lack of content and serious balancing problems and the loot boxes definitely pissed me off.
your bad
@@ekittykay dude I played the shit for like 3 hours the problem is the game sucks so bad it failed to engage me enough where I felt getting good at it was worth my time.
Btw saying someone is bad as a way to wave off criticism just makes you sound stupid.

@@-jay-2993 Live services games in general are having a bad time right now. It's almost like releasing an unfinished game with meagre amounts of content that gets repetitive very quickly, on the promise of becoming good months later is a bad way to retain a fanbase.
I hope this sends publishers the message they want more big single player titles like a xenoverse 3 instead of micro-transaction infested live service games
This was xenoverse 3 filler arc
@@-jay-2993 if no one pays for it how do they pay the developers and the people who run the servers? Not everything can be free.

Tbh if im completely honest the beta was so much better in every aspect. Sure the Raider needed to be stronger. Now its even hard to find good teammates who want to work with you.

That's why I went back to Tenkaichi 3.
I still play this game constantly and love it doto!
I personally think it’s still fun especially as a raider the ability to obliterate any section of the map is quite smoothing
if I had friends that played it it would be fun, but the queue times make it tuff
Make Oozaru the next raider, players will sprint back to Breakers!!
Well technically it’s the next raider just in the form of vegeta
Can we talk about how well the Vegeta raider was made?
They should add a dbs super hero transformation for the survivors

It use to be the following
Survivor OP > Survivor OP > Raider OP > Survivor/Raider 50/50
All depends if your teammates arent a bunch of baffoons.

If your team isn't composed of three or more :
Selfish guy keeping the Dragon Balls for himself when you have all 6
Guy that follows you around and wait for you to open a box to steal its content
Trolls
Guy that plays with his friends who's a raider and they gather the Dragon ball to 1v1 and kill you because they don't want you to interfere
An hide and seek player
A "I'm the hero" guy who goes willingly and alone against the raider with only level 1 change
And some other kinds of player
Then you can have fun!

Still a good handful of players on PC surprisingly. Matchmaking usually takes 2 to 3 minutes or less.
Also like how people still be selfish and just gaining power instead of healing everyone and actually play the game on how it intended to be like not fighting the enemy but actually leaving the place.
It actually much better to power yourself up as it doesn't go away unless the raider the beat the level 4, plus level 1 and 2 can be a distraction

From what I last saw. Cell go ki blast buff to the point he can just spam and murder as a killer.
Soooo yeah.
That is not the case anymore.Idk wat u saw but u def need to keep ur distance. There a certain range where the raider ki blasts will def hit.But that range isnt that big.If u are moving correctly u can waste the raiders time.Or u know do my favourtie thing.Hold X and streamline ur way to the map ceiling.Making the raider follow u and then judt grapple
We need more dragon ball fighter z

Will Doto get his first win let's find out right now
So do you think it'd be a bad idea to get this game? It looked really fun in beta, but I just haven'thad the money to grab it yet,,,
Games still very alive rn, so it's still good and season 2 is right around the corner. Takes some time to get used to but it's a good time. Speaking as a person on a PS5/PS4. Not sure how Xbox/PC population is, but PlayStation is very alive.
It's only fun with friends. Super unbalanced
Not to mention that it’s also on 4 different systems
They’re celebrating a 100 day anniversary. I don’t think even the devs have confidence that this game will make it to be a year old.
