This is case in USA and not India where you can get away by bribing politicians, bureaucracy and occasionally even judiciary. People have short memory but one need to remind the case of ‘Rajat Gupta’ and Raj Rajaratnam for inside trading and they were convicted and jailed for 3 and 11 years along with hefty fine in 2012. Rajat Gupta was CEO and board members on many high-profile companies in his career. Both of them were billionaires and that could not save them from punishment.
