Exactly plus we have the titular "Oracle of Ages" Nayru as evidence for the Goddess of Wisdom been the actual Goddess of Time referred to in Majora's Mask. The fact that Zelda refers to her in the flashback cutscene with Link could simply be a vague reference to Nayru given her Triforce of Wisdom been the one mostly connected to the Royal Family of Hyrule.
Also, in twilight princess, when ganondorf was about to strike link and zelda, Zelda called forth the light spirit and time slowed down. It could be dramatic effect, but i like to believe it was her own powers
Nice video! It touches on a lot of questions I've had for a while. If you don't mind some babbling from an amateur theorizer: 1. Not only did the Temple of Time start off as the Temple of Hylia, by Breath of the Wild it had returned to explicitly being a center of worship of Hylia, containing more statues of her (and the second-largest one) than anywhere else. 2. The statement about Hylia "guiding Link from the edge of time" is interesting. It ties in with the strong themes of fate present within the Zelda series and could point towards Hylia really having control over all of time. 3. Related to above, I find it interesting that the Sheikah in particular (and Hylians in general) continue to worship Hylia as a separate entity when her incarnation/descendant lives among them through the royal family. Both the Sheikah monks and Zelda herself seem to receive revelations directly from Hylia. More evidence that Hylia still exists at the edge of time despite incarnating in Skyarward Sword?
I do beleive that once Zelda from Skyward Sword died, her Godly essence whether more in spirit, or not, still exists, but her relatives still carry on her bloodline, which gives them their power. And that line is something Fi translates she says "From the Edge of Time I guide you" speaking to the Goddess Hero, Link.
It's as you say, Zelda and the Shiekah occasionally receive visons from whom we can only guess to be the Goddess Hylia. In BotW, Zelda writes in her diary about a dream she had in which there was a beautiful woman haloed by a blinding light that was attempting to speak to her. Being a descendant of Hylia gives Zelda a strong connection to the Goddess. With that said, I think it most likely that once the reincarnated Hylia perished, her spirit returned to whatever realm she originated from in order to continue watching over Hyrule and its people while giving aid whenever it's most dearly needed. However, it's not just Zelda and the Sheikah that have visions. Link has also been the recipient of visions in the past as well. The entirety of OoT begins with Link receiving visions in the form of dark dreams. I also have a theory that the fortune teller spoken of in BotW was someone associated with the religion surrounding the worship of the Goddess Hylia, such as a priest or priestess.
+Caleb H Don't forget about what Fi said about Demise: "This eternal being has conquered time itself". The battle between Demise & Hylia seems to be a stalemate with Demise deformed & sealed yet alive... ...and Hylia downgraded & mortalized yet alive. His impact on Hylia making her incarnate as a mortal could be considered "conquering time itself" or "conquering Hylia HERself".
What about Nayru...? She's the creator of Time in the Zelda pantheon and her Triforce piece is the one most connected to the Royal Family of Hyrule and *Hylia* given her descendants passing the Triforce piece across their bloodline. ¿Couldn't Hylia simply be a "guardian deity" of the Zelda universe like the 4 Giants, Oshus, Levias and the Deku/Maku trees while Nayru is the true Goddess of Time?
@@johnlucas1543 If Demise did indeed "conquer Time" as Fi suggested that would mean he conquered Nayru's very essence itself as she is the one who created Time according to the Creation Story at the start of Ocarina of Time. This could explain why many of the Zeldas across the timeline and the Royal Family are paired with the *Triforce of Wisdom* as an attempt by Nayru to assist Hylia in her battle with the Demon King. PS: Demise also "dowgraded and mortalized" too via Ganondorf so the stalemate was very much continued throughout the rest of the timeline.
Time was also in his side in Oracle of Ages yet that was because the oracle Nayru gave him her Harp of Ages to travel back an forth across past and present. Funny how people embrace the one instance of timetravel as sole argument for Hylia been the Goddess of Time but not that one obscure Gameboy Color game centered on the goddess actually responsible for the creation of Time.
Love it , idk while exist evidences to hylia be the goddess of time , there's also points to the other side , zelda powers always seems to be some *sacred light* , as in skyward sword , minish cap , oot , tp , seems to show us , hylia is always represented with light , but that could been due the *light force* , an interesting detail is that the bless that hylia gives to the master sword just can be replaced by the *sage of earth and sage of wind* , meaning maybe that she was the goddess of both earth or light/sky , she could lift skyloft after all (in minish cap is the power of wind that allowed the wind tribe go to the sky and keep the wind palace there ) , but still we don't have any confirmation of any of thoses ,if she is the goddess of time , why create the gates of time in first place or minering time stones too ? She couldn't just travel back or forward or even erase Demise out of timeline ? You can argument that as Fi described *Demise conquered the time itself* so maybe he couldn't be defeated not even by the time(hylia) , it's also suspect that blue normally represents the time in zelda and red the power , and demise holds red flames on his head like dins flame in SS ..but that's theory to another time and that would lead us to think in naryu the goddess who created the *laws* , oracle of ages can help hold it but is not enough to say that naryu just created the laws that keep the world together (and creating hylia since she could be the goddess of time ) or she is the goddess of the laws she created , meaning naryu is the goddess of time herself , .. considering that hylia refers to the Golden goddess as ancient gods and didn't know the real reason behind the triforce , probably could mean that she never had real contact with them too , and Naryu just created hylia to wacth over the world . The situations using the ocarina of time is hard to say cuz it could have been made of timeshift stones , same to the master sword , and reason why they are unique , but maybe also maybe the reson why timeshift stones exist is cuz hylia blessed normal crystals in it . The fact is that exists a goddess of time , stays that hylia said to guide link from the edges of time , meaning maybe she could really be talking from the past or future too .
Definetly points more to Nayru been the Goddess of Time given everything the franchise has said in regards to her role in creating and maintaining the flow of Time in the Zelda universe.
@@javiervasquez625 she is more know as the goddess of wisdom , who { " poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world." } , so she is like a design of the space time , time is just one of her attributes , there's others like magic , gravity , etc , reason why i wondered about hylia in my last comment , like din is the power that kept chaos to order , and Faroe courage wich brought life to the new land . So to me i think she created hylia to watch over those laws .
Definitely good stuff. I run a small channel myself, so I like looking at all RUclips has to offer in regards to Zelda content. BOTW2 has been beaten to death and it's great seeing new theories on old games.
Would the Goddess of the Sands be an alter ego of the Goddess of Time? Because sand can be a reference of time. Hyrule is the Top of the Hourglass side by side with Gerudo Desert Termina could be the Middelat, the neck of Hourglass ⏳️. And Lowrule can be the bottom. The Dark world and Twilight Realm can be outside the Hourglass itself.
This is an interesting theory word considering as it's very much a mystery what religious beliefs (if at all) the Gerudo have which would somehow connect to the 3 Golden Goddesses and Hylia across the timeline. I personally believe the Goddaess of the Sands to be Din as her human incarnation the "Oracle of Seasons" looks a LOT like a Gerudo and Ganondorf has always been in possession of her Triforce of Power.
Your first mistake was implying that Zelda and Link (after Ocarina of Time; Adult Timeline) never made any plans moving forward and MORE IMPORTANTLY! That both barley knew other. THAT IS FALSE INFORMATION Both Zelda and Link (Hero of Time) even after being sent back to his childhood before they inform the King and imprisoned Ganondorf. The fact is that both had actually just went through the entire events of the course throughout Ocarina of Time's Imprisoning War and just because he went back to his childhood does not mean him and Zelda did not experience all of that journey to stop him together. This fact is even more supported in the Magna (not Canon) and even the timeline and the events after supports this very simply
How could Hylia be the goddess of time, give up her divinity, still have control over deity powers of time. Doesn’t make as much sense as one would hope. Giving up her godhood wasn’t as selfless as either, Hylia wanted the power of the golden power. Shes certainly blessed by a goddess of time. I don’t agree with either of you until you can explain how Hylia can give up her divinity and retain the realm of time and all its powers.
Isnt Fi from skyward sword saying at one point of the game "youth guided by the goddess at the edge of time" And "youth guided by the servant of the goddess" As link is guided by Fi, and Fi is created by Hylia, doesnt that mean Hylia is the goddess of time?
Yes, I put that quote at the end " her grace who guides the goddess's chosen heroes from the edge of time, It doesn't blatantly say that she is but I believe its more evidence that supports this theory.
The Goddess of Time could also be Nayru given her role in creating Time (as stated in Ocarina of Time), her human incarnation the "Oracle of Ages" having timetraveling powers and the Triforce of Wisdom been passed down throughout Hylia's bloodline. Hylia could always be Nayru's "second in command".
this is inconclusive a lot of your evidence is around the temple of time in ocarina of time and a lot of it was misinformation the temple of time was not built where the temple of hylia was built this was misinformation from hyrule historia/encyclopedia as the maps show them to be at different locations zelda's lullaby was used to activate a lot of mechanisms connected to the royal family throughout the game the gate of time fits with that so using the song to redirect the gate of time does not mean that zelda has time powers skyward sword also had a temple of time separate from the temple of hylia you mentioned majora's mask and the power over time used in it but you failed to mention that time does not pass while inside the clock tower or the fact that the clock tower is also a temple themed around time also before anyone says that the goddess of time is nayru and that she reincarnated in oracle of ages there is no lore to backup the reincarnation claim and the only connection to time nayru has is that they created the laws that life would follow or something along those lines so again inconclusive this is a theory that you need to look more into fact check your evidence against more of the lore and search for more connections and revisit at a later time
(Hylia atleast...ugh...i really dont like her..making that stupid reincarnation cycle to get her man over and over, breaking all other girls hearts due to the 'destiny' she set for all links...and worse, not canceling the reincarnation spell and ending Demise's constant reincarnation curse that he tied into her because of her selfish desire to have the Hero for herself, evil keeps returning...)

Not bad keep this up and you will grow fast especially if BoTW 2 ever comes out
Nice video! It touches on a lot of questions I've had for a while.
If you don't mind some babbling from an amateur theorizer:
I love discovering new Zeldatubers that I can binge for hours.
This guy deserves more views
Nice theory
Thanks man glad you like it
Great video buddy and wonderful editing! 👍keep it up!!
Wow. I’m not done with TOTK yet but this video has aged very well!
6:27 that was too funny I almost choked
Yeah Nintendo loves to make everything important, "of time" lol. Glad you enjoyed it!
That would explain why Time always seems to be on Link's side. Not just in Majora's Mask.
Exactly!
Love it , idk while exist evidences to hylia be the goddess of time , there's also points to the other side ,
zelda powers always seems to be some *sacred light* , as in skyward sword , minish cap , oot , tp , seems to show us , hylia is always represented with light , but that could been due the *light force* , an interesting detail is that the bless that hylia gives to the master sword just can be replaced by the *sage of earth and sage of wind* , meaning maybe that she was the goddess of both earth or light/sky , she could lift skyloft after all (in minish cap is the power of wind that allowed the wind tribe go to the sky and keep the wind palace there ) , but still we don't have any confirmation of any of thoses ,if she is the goddess of time , why create the gates of time in first place or minering time stones too ? She couldn't just travel back or forward or even erase Demise out of timeline ? You can argument that as Fi described *Demise conquered the time itself* so maybe he couldn't be defeated not even by the time(hylia) , it's also suspect that blue normally represents the time in zelda and red the power , and demise holds red flames on his head like dins flame in SS ..but that's theory to another time and
that would lead us to think in naryu the goddess who created the *laws* , oracle of ages can help hold it but is not enough to say that naryu just created the laws that keep the world together (and creating hylia since she could be the goddess of time ) or she is the goddess of the laws she created , meaning naryu is the goddess of time herself , .. considering that hylia refers to the Golden goddess as ancient gods and didn't know the real reason behind the triforce , probably could mean that she never had real contact with them too , and Naryu just created hylia to wacth over the world .
Not bad gentlemen. The animation is awesome, and you got HG to check this video. Take care, see ya next time.
Thanks bud glad you liked it!
Hyrule is the Top of the Hourglass side by side with Gerudo Desert
Termina could be the Middelat, the neck of Hourglass ⏳️.
It's not the song that has the power, but the blessing of the goddess of time
THIS IS CONFIRMED IN TOTK IF ZELDA REALLY IS AN INCARNATION OF HYLIA!
It does seem that this is the case! It's really cool when one of your old theories line up with new information!
She is titled as the Goddess of Light. But she could also be the Goddess of Time.
With tears of the kingdom now out I would say that Hylia is the goddess of light and time
Your first mistake was implying that Zelda and Link (after Ocarina of Time; Adult Timeline) never made any plans moving forward and MORE IMPORTANTLY! That both barley knew other. THAT IS FALSE INFORMATION
Both Zelda and Link (Hero of Time) even after being sent back to his childhood before they inform the King and imprisoned Ganondorf.
The first words I hear are
Power wiszum Courage
How could Hylia be the goddess of time, give up her divinity, still have control over deity powers of time. Doesn’t make as much sense as one would hope.
Giving up her godhood wasn’t as selfless as either, Hylia wanted the power of the golden power.
Shes certainly blessed by a goddess of time.
I don’t agree with either of you until you can explain how Hylia can give up her divinity and retain the realm of time and all its powers.
Isnt Fi from skyward sword saying at one point of the game "youth guided by the goddess at the edge of time"
And "youth guided by the servant of the goddess"
As link is guided by Fi, and Fi is created by Hylia, doesnt that mean Hylia is the goddess of time?
Yes, I put that quote at the end " her grace who guides the goddess's chosen heroes from the edge of time, It doesn't blatantly say that she is but I believe its more evidence that supports this theory.
The Goddess of Time could also be Nayru given her role in creating Time (as stated in Ocarina of Time), her human incarnation the "Oracle of Ages" having timetraveling powers and the Triforce of Wisdom been passed down throughout Hylia's bloodline.
Hylia could always be Nayru's "second in command".
Incredible video! Love it! Very detailed!
Thank you!
Could there be a Goddess of Space???
The question is if Link can have children with Zelda?
Yes.
probably.
why do you ask?
Sonia is Zelda's descendant... So we suppose Link's too (at least Zelda had would d get with Groose in the end).
Wait this isn’t just canon
this is inconclusive a lot of your evidence is around the temple of time in ocarina of time and a lot of it was misinformation the temple of time was not built where the temple of hylia was built this was misinformation from hyrule historia/encyclopedia as the maps show them to be at different locations
zelda's lullaby was used to activate a lot of mechanisms connected to the royal family throughout the game the gate of time fits with that so using the song to redirect the gate of time does not mean that zelda has time powers
skyward sword also had a temple of time separate from the temple of hylia
you mentioned majora's mask and the power over time used in it but you failed to mention that time does not pass while inside the clock tower or the fact that the clock tower is also a temple themed around time
also before anyone says that the goddess of time is nayru and that she reincarnated in oracle of ages there is no lore to backup the reincarnation claim and the only connection to time nayru has is that they created the laws that life would follow or something along those lines
so again inconclusive this is a theory that you need to look more into fact check your evidence against more of the lore and search for more connections and revisit at a later time
No nayru is
(Hylia atleast...ugh...i really dont like her..making that stupid reincarnation cycle to get her man over and over, breaking all other girls hearts due to the 'destiny' she set for all links...and worse, not canceling the reincarnation spell and ending Demise's constant reincarnation curse that he tied into her because of her selfish desire to have the Hero for herself, evil keeps returning...)
