Photography of any type during inclement weather is very effective. The soft images and lighting are very appealing to the eyes. Giving your viewers a calming effect, plus here the soft wave sounds add even more depth and dimension, thank you for sharing this, very nice.
Nice work, Great shot of the Four Birds in a row in the Surf. Appreciate the difficulty of Working in the fog but, great ethereal shots. Keep well & Stay safe 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for watching! The willets are definitely some of my favorite to watch as well! I was really happy to be able to sit with them because in the past they were typically more skittish.
Thank you for watching! The good thing about shore birds is there are usually a lot of them that are not very scared of people because they are around them all the time in this area so sitting quietly usually brings them close to you!
I was hoping you might luck into seeing/filming some ospreys, as so far this summer in my handful of visits to the Meadowlands Environment Center in NJ I haven't encountered any. 🙁 But I do love the sandpipers and similar birds: so interesting to watch. 👍
Thanks for watching! I did see some osprey while I was there but it was very sporadic and they tended to come out in mid morning or mid day. They are one of my favorite birds to watch hunt.
Some great photos & vid. I grabbed some pretty good RT photos of a decent size group on their northern migration back in early May. Me not being a true birder, (just like taking the photos) had to look them up when I got home. Considering we just had a few 90= *f days here, I was surprised to see them this early & talking to a few birders at the Jersey shore about a week ago & were looking for migrating birds. To me, it seems early. But hey, what do I know. = How to push the shutter & delete at least 50% of the photos I take. Happy shooting.
Thanks for watching! Birds migrate at all different times during the late summer fall. A lot of shore birds migrate down pretty early because some breed up in Canada and begin to move south come August. The temperature doesn't have as much to do with it as much as the wind direction, any wind coming from the north in late August and September and there will be migrants moving south! Good luck photographing this fall!
I am using my Manfrotto video head at the moment. I wanted to attach my gimbal head because it would allow me to get little lower to the ground but the frying pan was not wide enough for me to attach. Am going to be getting a larger frying pan so I can use that instead this coming summer.
I use a manfrotto video head. The exact model can be found in the video description with a link. The ground pod is one I made out of a frying pan. Thanks for watching! Happy holidays!

what tripod head is used on your homemade ground pod? I was thinking of buying a beat-up skillet from goodwill for my base plate.
