One of my favorite Santana tunes. Reminds me of being a kid and my dad playing this song while we had a cookout at the house. He had a 72 Monte Carlo he would wash in the driveway and then we’d go cruise around town with this song playing windows rolled down.
Carlos..straight from the heart. I am 64. My first concert...Santana. ..Chicago amphitheatre. His guitar has been talkiing to my heart for almost 50 years.
Theres something so whimsical about seeing Carlos's shirt blowing in the wind, I wonder how many times that very wind has travelled around the world and if that same wind that made his shirt flutter in the wind has blown in my face and maybe, just maybe thats why I smile and love the breeze in my face. Thank you wind, thank you Carlos and thank you Greg, for your amazing voice.
Then or now...is there noone else who never misses a note live ..than Carlos Santana. The guitar/Santana combination has always gone straight to my heart. For 45 years and still going. If I saw God ..I would thank him for Carlos Santana and his instrument permeating the years of my life. ...among other things of course. But this song..this groove , for dancing...pure sugar.
68 yrs old now , never missed their concerts especially at santa barbara bowl , yes pure magical evenings.the pit, at the front of the stage $41 dollars , only 20 yrs.ago.lot of weed and beers.god bless all you that remember.rob.
@4sammyboy, I'm now 70, an Englishman Londoner and - up until the last 6 years I reckon, started to bore me so missed the subsequent shows - never missed a London show, lost count at 36 the number of times I have seen them live starting with the forerunner to the famous Glastonbury Festival in 1970. STILL the best show I have EVER witnessed, out of 350+ gigs was the London Rainbow show 15th Nov 1973 the Lotus world Tour.
Was 18 when I bought Moonflower .. Got it for Let The Children Play... Soul Sacrifice .. and then I heard this .. stayed with me all the years I’m 57 now .. fell in love with it then live it even more now x
The band Santana hasn't ever recovered since Greg Walker hasn't been in the band. Seen them live and it just isn't the same anymore. Carlos had a brain he'd get Greg back.
@Wrestling EH, This fan since 1972, who has seen them live a minimum of 36 times till he started losing count 🙂thinks Chepito Areas was THE heart and soul of of Santana the group but do not disagree with your other comments regarding Greg's AMAZING vocals.
Oh man, I think I was transported back to 1977! This is the lineup of the Moonflower record. Where did you find this? Which place was that? More info please! Btw, for those not aware, Greg Walker: vocals (the best voice of Santana in my opinion), a young Tom Coster: keyboards.
The story I heard, and I'm sure I have some bits of it missing from my 70 yo memory cells, is that the vocalist Greg Walker had made a non-serious comment about Carlos hiring a new vocalist and Carlos thought he was being serious, so GW was replaced. I have seen some of the greatest singers ever and had the privilege of seeing him, who I rate in the top two, sing twice with Santana, the 1978 'Inner Secrets' tour in London was beyond STUNNING.
@@forearthbelow cool I think he was Santana best vocalist he had dynamics and power In New York Santana had a concert and after the concert I was trying to get through security I told them Greg was my cousin so I waited for 20 minutes he came and he looked at me and walked away 🤣🤣well I tried
@@leonwilliams3966 Nice try, buddy!! It's a tossup between him in his pomp being the best vocalist i've seen or Glenn Hughes who I saw about 6 years ago when he was about 66, BEYOND INCREDIBLE. Check him out, worth your time imo. all the best, matey!!
The Master Walker on Voice. With a Santana in some good very good shape...
Now THIS is very simply and truly a gem...
if you are here right now, props to you this is the good shit
Beautiful voice,composition,everything.

About Three years ago Carlos did reunite the original Members including Greg Rolie and made Santana IV. They emberked on a tour as well!
True to an extent not sure if you know but he got the old back greg rollie, neal and the rest of the gang and are turning.

Greg Walker was the best singer Santana had. Durin Greg's time Santana was at his best.
Completely agree!!
I'm 60 now, & feel so fortunate to have seen Santana at least 10-12 times over the years, starting in 1977
Agreed
Very very good shape...
Thank you very much for uploading!
"VIVA SANTANA"
Wow

Amazing version
Greg Magic....
Oh, how much I would sell my soul to the devil to have Greg Walker's vocals!
