I loved the scene at the end when House confronts her. It's not often that you can visibly see him sympathize with a patient. The acting was great

It fits well into the show, but it wasn't actually planned. Kutner's actor wanted out, so they wrote him out. It's actually pretty amazing that it fit as well as it did under the circumstances.

To me knowing that a person is guilty, and having the conscious to not being able to live with it makes them deserve to live. What’s better punishment than having that trauma for the rest of their life.
Also the parents low-key are partially responsible too for letting a child babysit another child. So I hope they feel guilty too.

Manslaughter is what her parents could be charged with. They had a duty to protect their son, the sister had not and that is why you dont see children charged with negligence, and if you cant see the difference in that you have a problem.

No, but I can only imagine that level of guilt and self-loathing, being unable to look at your parents without reliving the feeling of it all happening over and over again, feeling like they must hate you and maybe they'd be better off without you; like in dying, you'd be trading places with the little sibling you feel you took from them.
