I was invited to film the inaugural Over The Top Diesel Showdown at Onaway Speedway in Onaway, Michigan! This was a special event put on by Onaway Speedway. This was not a points pull, but more of a free for all pull for cash on a brand new pulling track settled within the speedway infield. Various pulling vehicles pulled in this event, including the mighty Green Ghost, a special first time ever pull from the GIJOE semi all the way from Canada, Super Farm Tractors, Stock and Altered Diesel Trucks, Semis, and more. This was pretty much an all day event. We even had one of the NTPA Super Semis, Stacks, show up to pull. It wasn't the most organized show, but there was a lot of action to be enjoyed. This is all of session 1.

I live in Onaway, and I love hearing this stuff from my house. This whole thing is put on by Mike Sturgle of Precision Forestry.

The road tractors remind me of my days in the logging woods. Going wide open like that is common trying to get out!
I did some driving for my friends company out in Montana in the Mountains the trucks get a good work out hauling logs and so does the drivers LOL!!

Surprised to see this many views on this video. I was running the truck at 3:00 2.5 Duramax in the hot class took second against the truck previous to that one, even though he has a larger turbo and duals but not much more power

I find it interesting that the semis often didn't do any better than the pickups
if they have a manual trans, it's a lot harder to build momentum. There's a gap in power delivery when the clutch is in.

@@user-vp9yy6li7l тоже непонятно,видимо там с каждый учаском возростает нагрузка для них,как вариант этот прицеп начинает тормозить.
участникам не нужно забывать о моменте импульса.. чем больше скорость, тем больше помогает инерция, когда прицеп тормозит.. потому то и заехали максимально далеко все те кто разогнался на старте.. ну и кпп тут лучше автомат.. ибо нужно попадать в обороты максимального крутящего момента двигателя..

@@user-kd7db5zr3jтам установка с изменяющимся центром тяжести, при старте - плита пригруза переезжает и одного края "прицепа", (хз как это назвать, ерунда больше подходит) на другой, изменяя коэффициент сцепления "ерунды" с поверхностью...при старте плита грубо говоря едет на колесах, в конце волочится по земле)
