Great video. I always watch your channel. You do very well and efficiently. I love American trucks very much. I live in Russia and work on an American truck. These cars will not compare to any European truck
Scott in the red and black cabover Freightliner didn't have a passenger after the first pull when the "old lady" nearly kissed the windshield at 11:34!
@@jankington216 Not sure what you mean by that, as I was saying the Instigator sounded mean...not that it was running on diesel. Hence why I mentioned that I also like diesels... "Healthy" in automotive vernacular doesn't always mean "running perfectly", it means "burly" or "powerful-sounding."
@@MetalMachine131 That's what I figured, makes the most sense. I think it would be cool to see timed sleds too. Then you would actually have to race the weight. lol
Surprised to see this many views on this video. I was running the truck at 3:00 2.5 Duramax in the hot class took second against the truck previous to that one, even though he has a larger turbo and duals but not much more power
I don't understand, why does it become harder to pull as they progress the track? is there something that adds more backwards force as they get farther?
As you pull the sled forward it has a mechanism that slides weight to the front of the skids. It moves the weight from over the sleds wheels to the skids contacting the ground making it much harder to pull. You can see it sliding forward in the videos.
Awesome rigs, every single one of them. Though I do wonder how long does an engine last. Given they seem to get out as much power as possible it sure must take quite a toll on the engine and the entire drivetrain.
I´m guessing the thing they are pulling is getting heavier and heavier as they go but how does it do it? I thought at first it was digging down into the dirt but that can´t be right
There are wheels in the back of the sled, but nothing in the front; the front of the sled digs into/scrapes across the ground. So as the weight of the sled gets transferred from the back to the front, more friction is caused and the sled becomes harder to pull. There are typically different weight classes in these, and as the class goes up to more capable machines, more weight is added to the box you see that gets moved to the front as the pull goes on.
The load is Shifting. The green box that says "pioneer" on it is loaded with a specific weight(class) and as you pull the sled, the weight shifts from above the trailer axles, to the front making the sled "heavier" (by more friction)
I’m just glad the thumbnail pic was actually in the video
Valley truck parts HME "Green Ghost"
what a sick looking truck!
Cause they almost never are
Pretty anticlimactic though
I was the 100th like 😁
Nice to see that someone can post a video of a tractor pull and it actually have the vehicle that's in the thumbnail. Thank you
oh bullshit now. you know only faking us out works. if it isnt fd up we dont want it
Yeah, no clickbait
Is the load constant or increasing?
sergeismd I think they add weight to the sled when more than one vehicle in its category does a full pull

the video shows that the truck initially pulls well and after that it slows down and stalls
That Cab Over freightliner had some serious horse power! My favorite!
Mine too

Always love the sounds of straight piped Macks and peterbilts
This video encapsulates America! 🦅🇺🇸
Admit it, that guy at 4:30 was thinking he could just steal the sled, hit the freeway onramp, and make a clean getaway.
Fuck you ass hole
To be honest he had a lot of momentum and power he could’ve went further
I love you I love your tractor calls and your truck pulls
12:45 that's a demon!!!!!
Thanks for your time and sharing.
Scott in the red and black cabover Freightliner didn't have a passenger after the first pull when the "old lady" nearly kissed the windshield at 11:34!
that 4020 john deere at 4:10 pulls like a champ
The road tractors remind me of my days in the logging woods. Going wide open like that is common trying to get out!
I did some driving for my friends company out in Montana in the Mountains the trucks get a good work out hauling logs and so does the drivers LOL!!
LLo
I'm watching you right now when you're doing it good luck and guys
I live in Onaway, and I love hearing this stuff from my house. This whole thing is put on by Mike Sturgle of Precision Forestry.
Found myself in the video! Crazy to see that!
That old John Deere tractor smashed it.
No annoying commentary - thank you.
5:31 HAHA!! Some guy was like "O shit!!! My tool box!!!"
That shit is so funny, his crew guy in the back was like "I swore it was right here!" Im still surprised it made it all the way down the track.
At least it wasn't his/her cell phone lol.
haha so funny boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooil
4:13 I wish I was half a cool as this guy
Just casually mowing the lawn

I love the old cab over trucks
Thanks for the upload! Love the way you put it all together!

5:16 i love this thing
That cabover Freightliner is a monster!
Dietroit diesel 2 stroke under the hood
The Truck's and Semi's are good but it's always the tractors that have the wow factor for me.
Great job on the video👍🏻
I half expected 12:45 to start flying, sounded like he was about to transform!
It gets real when the country boys show up with they're tractors!
I definitely sympathize with leaving tools on the front bumper 05:28. Happens to the best of us :-)
But he sure smoked it clear to the end
Great show, brings back memories.
That old green one was a real rockstar though.
Love seeing Square Bodies in these pulls
That guy in the tractor definetely having fun xD

you have such interesting films!
Nice to actually watch a tractor pull for once on youtube
Dang it! You got me! Laying in bed, pressing an Imaginary Clutch with my left foot..!!
I like how an old school tractor can get as far as one of the new ones
The ghost is awsome
11:22 that freightliner coe is a beast😍
His woman ain't bad either!
Another excellent video. ♡ T.E.N.
I like the american vehicles and their sound since i was a kid.

Thanx for your old location lucila lol that’s what got her to speak up
Without knowing the rules, it looks like momentum wins the day here.
furthest distance wins
It's hella cool this pulling monsters, but it also makes me more certain over why the diesel taxes are sky high ;) :P
That old jd was kicking some butt love my jd it is what it is if it's not green it's not to be seen 😁
What i really enjoy is watching trucks like this go to the drag strip and shame so many cars
I love the sound of a healthy diesel as much as anyone, but man, that Instigator sounded mean!

Cool video and thumbs up liked.
12:45 this and next one are not joke!
These older truck really can beat these newer trucks
4:11 my man 😂
Old guy on the farm tractor and the green wheelie truck!
I find it interesting that the semis often didn't do any better than the pickups
if they have a manual trans, it's a lot harder to build momentum. There's a gap in power delivery when the clutch is in.
love it, cheers from mexico

Wow some amazing rigs 👍
Красный трактор, прям как "Феррари". И по цвету, и по скорости и по техническим характеристикам.
So the weight on the sled...... does it move down according to distance traveled or according to time?
it seems to move down according to the distance traveled
The weight gets moved by the trailers tyres. Therefore distance.
@@MetalMachine131 That's what I figured, makes the most sense. I think it would be cool to see timed sleds too. Then you would actually have to race the weight. lol
The tires drive the box by pulleys allowing the box to slide upward allowing more load to be placed apon the vehical.

I'm not a Chevy fan but that was a very nice run from a very healthy sounding engine... 6.6? 86mm turbo give or take? Props 👍

В чем суть этих соревнований? И от ценой они останавливаются раз так резво начинают ?
INSANE!
Now that is so amazing truck pull over
Why is the trailer hard to pull? Is the guy riding on board putting brakes on or something?
There are weights that shift from the back to the front the farther they go.
...and the front of the trailer is a sled - a giant steel sled sliding on the dirt.
I´m guessing the thing they are pulling is getting heavier and heavier as they go but how does it do it? I thought at first it was digging down into the dirt but that can´t be right
It's like a pulley system
