The man who made such golden, cutting edge hilarious television in the 80's reduced to THIS - this sucking off one of the very worst movies ever made for SOME corporate reason...some connection of Sony and CBS, am I wrong? Anyone know for sure why Letterman would praise such a horrible piece of trash?? Maybe he's just being polite...VERY polite. (oh, and Tom Cruise would have been shooting 'Mission: Impossible FOUR' when Sandler was shooting 'Jack and fucking Jill'. A real movie with a good script, good acting and actual satisfied customers.)
I've seen some movies that I really like with Sandler in it, Drunk punch love was pretty awesome, I forget the name of the 9/11 one, that had a really great performance... some of his goofy comedies are fun. He seems like such a great and nice man.
CBS shared interest in Columbia Pictures but sold to Coca-Cola in 1985 who then sold to Sony in 1989. Although Sony produces "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune" which CBS distributes and also has produced for and co-produced with CBS on other various shows in the past, as far as I know there is nothing in regard to film and David Letterman that unite the two but I may be mistaken.
