Yes, I also love the tone and grittiness of the lead singer's voice, and the simple lyrics allowed the audience to be drawn-in as well. And with their vocals there was no need for a lot of instrumental support. Love it! Thanks, Bethany! ☺
Loved seeing you appreciate my boys, did you notice the twin mics everywhere on stage? that whole performance was recorded live to tape old school, and released as an album live at the forum in Melbourne.
Hey Bethany, I'm sure I am not the only one and I won't be the last to say YES do yourself a favor and listen to the Colors version of their song Rain, you won't be sorry. Please keep up the great work loving your reactions.
seen them live twice, too. Once in Glasgow and then in oslo. Unforgettable. Crossing my fingers and toes that i can get to Barcelona this month. They're playing at the big Benicassim festival then in Barcelona on july 20. Love that Ottis Cocker sound 😂
I love your reactions....The audience had no idea what was to come lol. I would love to see you do a reaction to a duet that Josh Teskey did with another Aussie singer Delta Goodrem and their cover of INXS 'Never Tear Us Apart' just Delta on piano and Josh on guitar on stage in an empty theatre ...pure magic!
I have been waiting and hoping for this. “Rain” at colours studios is also a recoding worth hearing it’s just Josh singing. Loved the reaction irregardless what any one else says more Teskey Brothers please. Melburnians just love a good sing along just ask John Farnham.😊
@@Dr_KAP Yep I’ve given it a couple of listens you mite have something there a definite difference. I won’t rush to say better but different in good way.
@@petrichor3947 yes I think it depends on the reactor- this lady is a vocalist so perhaps this is the best version. When I recommended this to my mate Michael Goyette to react to however- it made total sense to choose the other version (as he is a pro guitarist)
You can't beat The Teskey Bros.... who knew a reemergence of Motown soul would squeak in through Australia! Bethany, thier cover of Jealous Guy is top notch, give it a listen.
I saw these boys opening for Jimmy Barnes, they’ve been his support act a few times I believe. Josh definitely has a Chris Stapleton vibe going on. Nice use of the false vocal cords but as you point out there’s a soft airyness or lightness to Josh’s vocals and yes you MUST listen to his spoken voice because it is there for sure.
Nowhere near as good or as raspy as Australia's favorite son Shannon Noll.....the darling of Condoblin and the future first president of the Aussie Republic. Nollsy even put Barnesy to shame. LOL
Kappy, You saw what, who - together 😱. That’s sooo unfair lol. I only live a few suburbs away from where the Teskeys grew up as kids and I’ve never seen them lol
Got the privilege to see the Tesky Brother in my hometown of Wollongong Australia a few months ago. Honestly... he has such a bright warm tone live its absolutely beautiful. The concert felt like a "religious" experience. Alongside this band only two others have had that affect on me and I've seen a few dozen concerts in my day. (The other would be "The Midnight" and "Jon Bellion").
Great song. A couple years back the brothers also did a cover of (Gunditjmara-Bundjalung elder 'Uncle' Archie Roach's song, Get Back to the Land); it was the same year as Archie's passing. It was a great tribute, to a special man.
It's a simple song with what seems a simple message...but I.d love to find someone in my later years who could hold me..but don't hold me down..carry me..but keep my feet on the ground...I.ve seen the teskeys twice...an awesome awesome live band...how about some more prince...loved your motherless child reaction
Have you heard Danny Gokey? Watch his video for Tell Your Heart to Beat Again. Talk about tonal control. It’s a song about him losing his wife and his struggle to come through it. He was a contestant on American Idol just weeks after it happened.
Can you make a video about Mancheter Orchestra - The silence ? I'm sur you will be like this song and I'll be so happy to see your reaction. PS : You said , during your analysis of scorpions - still loving you "I so enjoy earing rock bands perform ballads", so, you'll probably love this. Love your videos, from France.
Hey! I first started watching your stuff when I saw you do beatbox reactions and have seen you've done some rock and metal reactions. I was wondering if you might want to check out Blues? Otis Rush is a prime example of a masterfully soulful, yet powerful voice. Something that inspired yelling in modern rock, along with his riffs in the electric slide guitar. I Can't Quit You Babe (Otis Rush) is a prime example and even covered by Led Zeplin's in their first album
YES( The group) The Song is ,'HEART OF THE SUNRISE'. PLEASE listen to this group for the vocalist is phenomenal as well as all their music.I would truly appreciate it if you could.Their name is YES A new subscriber, Thank You😊
Hi May I suggest you to react to Jacques Brel ? He was a Belgian singer who sang in French and Dutch. The lyrics are great. He was also a great performer. One of his most famous song "Ne me quitte pas" (Don't leave me) became a standard, sung by Nina Simone among plenty others. Some videos are with English subtitles, so your audience can follow. Thanks
Suggestion for a future video: MTV Unplugged, Stone Temple Pilots, Big Empty. It was pretty incredible when it came out. I think you'd like it and it would be a pretty good video.
I’d love it if you did a reaction to Holy Soldiers - Hallows Eve or Savatage - Summers Rain two great songs with amazing Vocals that no one is reacting too
If you would like a little return to the 90s grunge-style bands. Please look into Scott Weiland's "Atlanta". That song might be the lightest introduction to him to try :)
This song was post-millenium, but it seems you enjoyed a bit of the 90's grunge and this song is from the Stone Temple Pilots who found their popularity in the late 90s. Enjoying your channel so far. His voice is certainly unique and authentic through lyrics
Here's one of the few live versions you might want to use so it focuses more on his voice/performance. ruclips.net/video/Ev5ClVuiUC4/видео.htmlsi=00N1V007V-B50Fx0

I’ve been part of one of these wonderful singalongs with the Teskey brothers, a magical experience
My favourite of our Aussie bands 🇦🇺🦘

I believe the guitarist that also sings is Josh's brother Sam Teskey. Released a solo album with him also singing.
Home town gig live amongst their adoring fans. The Forum just one of the great rooms in the capital of live music in Oz.
I was there that night they performed this
You have to hear the Avett Brothers I and Love and You🎉
*Gowan: Moonlight Desires. Have a listen, not just because it is a helluva song, but for the vocal. Another Canadian suggestion.*
