High time we talk about architects following such thoughtfully practices and not just forms and aesthetics!

Starchitects have that kind of ego. Lol. Foster and partners criticized the streamlined art deco buildings that dominate Miami but went with the ugliest design of a parking building. The audacity of that firm is astounding.
@@meltingice5697 thank you are u an architect
From a French speaker, you did very well with the pronunciation 👌🏼 great video! They deserve the Pritzker Prize!
Thank you so much :D
This is beautiful, Rénovation, reusing spaces and Transformation is an Architectural movement that is not just sustainable but noble indeed!
Thanks for making this video❤️
You are very welcome
Amazing video and informative!! 👍

Thank you brother 😇
Very welcome
So much interesting talks on indifference it's my intuition
Informative 🙂 ❤
❤️
This is such an informative & interesting video🙌
Glad you think so!
Such a interesting video ! But there are actually some small mistakes. They had their architecture degree at "école d'architecture de Bordeaux" and not Nantes but they first opened their office in Nantes before moved in Paris.
ohh thanks for letting me know :D
We want an another detailed video please...
How to get job in an mnc company as an architect that will pay me well?
I hope that kind of architecture that praises the human thrives over the "stararchitects". The production of the space we live can not be determined by someone who want to make "noise" in the city with human scale sculptures.
I appreciate your French accent!
Putting high school French classes to some use XD
Pls upload part 2 of QnA
Will have it up really soon 😉

so sensitive to the built environment. every year the bar is raised
I wasn't convinced. Firstly, if Pritzker prize wants to maintain its status, it must choose every year the most influential architect in the world of architecture and avoid bringing architects to the stage who were previously unheard of. Secondly, when giving the prize a noble reason is cited, that is, the contribution to society, one cannot ignore the question: what did the architecture of the winners contribute to the world's beauty? In this case, architects were selected who create an environment that is perceived as aesthetic only by an elitist group of inflated art critics. The average person, about whom they talk all the time, will only think it's ugly. And finally, beyond the building's contribution to saving the world, the building itself exists. A microcosmos of its own, that when visited, has the power to transport you back to the world - and all the visual noise within it - with an experience of elevation, as if you've just stepped out of a breathtaking music concert. Thanks God, this year they chose David Chipperfield who does just that, and it's hopeful that the judges of the Pritzker Prize will continue to select architects like him, otherwise, no one will be interested in them or the prize anymore.
The prize has ridiculously dropped it's standards. Yes, social impact is an important part of Architecture. It answers the question " How is Architecture useful?" But Architecture is also meant to answer deeper more philosophical questions. These are what actually makes Architecture what it is. Social impact is to be done at a large scale of it is to deserve the biggest recognition in Architecture.

Visualize yourself for being an architect and feel it and ask yourself if your doing the things you should be doing right now to be that person. Build Habit, always seek improvement. Study and practice with consistency is the key for me in Architecture.
@@languageoflines494 thank u so much 😍 surely I'll will give my best to reach by dream✨✨✨
@@abinayagothandan6350 i dont knoW which university you'll be pursuing but I suggest you should research on the curriculum of architecture and what entails. Believe me just wanting to become one is a risky thing to do. Thats the mistake i made. Its demanding and takes up a lot of your time. But hey, if you still pursue no one is stopping you. Just like the other guy said be consistent and patient.
@@meltingice5697 thank u so much are u an architect
It is very nice! congrats! But i find their architecture extremely ugly.
That's post modernism for ya. It's not their fault though. That building was already their and they just improved the utilitarian aspects of it. It's miles better than how it was before.
@@meltingice5697 that is true (it is a bit better) but it is still ugly haha :D. Yes it is cost efficient and yes it is cheap and yes it is environment friendly... but it is ugly. Anyway ugliness is relative...
THE DEATH OF ARCHITECTURE.
