I literally just filmed my field use video yesterday. Those handles do work for this model. I think the overall ergos do lend themselves to detailed tasks and basic chores. Harder use will be capable but not as good as if the handles were thicker and larger. All FOBOS knives have hard edges in spots I would like softened... But serviceable and you could certainly sand the scales if needed.
Those are some nice knives. Can't wait for you to test them out in the bush. To see how they hold up to the outdoor elements.

I really like my Tier1-BC, it is holding an edge really well after cutting lots of wood.
Both are great (but)
I ALWAYS have an axe when heading out on a few days or many days hiking trip. So BC would be my choice.

I would have preferred the tier 1 c. I feel like 7" blade is ideal for a survival knife. Too bad its discontinued.
Glad I have the tier1c It is just a much better chopper and a hard use piece of steel which is all I care about with a knife over 4'' of blade.
