Love thus island so much. My first crossing (with my Dad) was as a passenger in a small fishing boat which made me rather seasick. My bedroom wall was going up and down for days. Today's ferries are of course excellent. We had a hide in exactly the same fake limestone rock...... Unfortunately, It was recently buried below a minor landslide. Many thanks for showing us around. Most enjoyable cache walk, yes!
Glad you liked looking around again. I too have bad memories of a ferry crossing when I was young. I take a seasick tablet these days and enjoy the trip 🙂
I had my headphone speakers a bit loud while watching this. I think my eardrums are now bleeding after listening to the brakes on those bikes. LOL! :O Beautiful views from the lighthouse looking at those cliffs! The views would be amazing to see in person! Thanks for the fun tour!
That bike sure was squeaking loudly. Hurt our ears too 🙂 Rathlin was a wonderful place to visit. Would love to return one day when more seabirds were nesting.
We love old light houses. When we go up north to the great lakes we make sure we check them out. That is a very unusual one for sure. Sure is some beautiful views there. Thanks for taking us along.
I had not thought of lighthouses on lakes before but as they are so big it makes sense. I'm not sure why but we love lighthouses too. There are three on Rathlin Island. Hope to go back there one day to see the other one.
There was a nice little parkette in our hometown we never did find the cache that was in it. Quite the rugged coastline and climb down to the lighthouse. A real treat seeing the seals.

Beautiful landscape, and some classic hides over there!
Rathlin is a special place. Would love to take a look at the neolithic axe factory there one day.

The seals were definitely a treat. We are thinking we must return one day when the puffins are there,
Love the seals
It was wonderful to be so close to them. We did not count the seals property but think there must have been around thirty there that day.
