Those look like baby dunes you take your ten year old to go learn how to ride compared to Glamis or Gordon's Well lol!

The race is held in the smaller dune and trail areas east of the mountain. The big dunes and bowls are located on and behind the mountain to the west. The dunes at the mountain are taller than anything found at either of the locations mentioned since were throwing rocks lol!

That's kind of like looking at just the sand washes out in Glamis and assuming everything out there is just as flat.
