Thanks Elana for all your fun and informative videos, I am also a petite gal, only 4 foot 7 inches tall. 😉. So I love seeing videos by other petite ladies and I would love to see a video on how you would style oversized tops on yourself. It’s hard to find perfect fits all the time for me, and I do enjoy some looser button up shirts or hoodies or tops in general. I buy sizes XXS, XS and Small in my clothing and wear mostly fitted and tailored items, but sometimes I just want pure relaxed comfort too. You have great videos! I am enjoying them, thanks so much 😊👍🏼
When I choose my clothes, I not only take into consideration my petite height, but also what shape my body is. For example I find boot cut jeans more flattering because it balances out my bigger chest and also fuller butt. Skinny jeans make me look like a lightbulb! Also, I have a short torso which I take into consideration when buying clothes as well. Thanks again for a great video! ☺️🌼
Thank you for this video! I totally agree with that last tip on shopping the kids’ department. I often find reasonably priced official sports team logo clothing in Youth sizes. and an XL normally fits me nicely! I wear a Petite Small or Medium in women’s tops. Also got a pair of kid size Adidas sneakers for $15 less than the adult ones - same design and material!
I have a short torso and if I put on a pair of high rise jeans I look like Urkel. Lol. I buy mid rise and sometimes low rise depending on the brand and style. I wear skinny or bootcut pants. Some skinny jeans run big so they don't fit skinny on me. I have very skinny legs so I don't want to emphasize that. 🤣
This is very inspiring. We should wear what we comfortable with. Heels do make petites look taller but I really don’t feel comfortable wearing in heels😢
Yeah, I agree! I have a large bust too and I cannot wear off shoulder look, it’s too uncomfortable. Great idea to swap them out for nicer necklines, that’s an awesome idea 💡 I will do that instead. Thank you 🙏 😊
I feel like sometimes the ankle strap on shoes can highlight the really slim part of your ankle, which can be flattering, especially if you already have a heel for that extra height. Also, Elana, Abercrombie has really great petite jumpsuits! I have one that makes me feel very tall, and the inseam is perfect for me at 5'1!
I’m top heavy and hate showing cleavage so my go to tops are typically mock/high neck tops. I try to minimize the appearance of my chest by wearing sports bras instead of regular bras. Wear what makes you feel comfortable 💞💞
Loved your video👍🏾I am petite too and I think fashion tips should be just that-tips.We can pick and choose what we like and don’t and that way feel happy and confident in what we are wearing!IThe one thing I agree with you the most is the flared jeans.I think straight leg ones look so much better. (And btw I still wear skinny jeans!🙈🙂🙂)
My thing with oversized is to make sure it’s oversized to MY proportions. So I try to buy intentionally oversized tops. Like American Eagle, they usually have Oversized in the name of the product so I just buy my normal size Small and it gives the oversized vibe without being disproportionate to my body.
The off the shoulders neckline doesnt work for you because makes you wider . The best way to to make you look taller is vertical necklines extend vertically like V neckline, narrow equare neckline, scoop neckline
My petite don’t is high water pants. I want all my pants to be skimming the floor no matter what shoes I’m wearing. I can use all the length I can get on my pants.
I don’t follow most of the rules though sometimes I will lean towards the rules when making a new pricy purchase. I watched a few of your videos and I notice your share your bra size a lot and since we are immersed in a culture with body image issues, I think it’s best to leave personal information about yourself private.
She is being transparent for the fit of the piece. Perhaps consider removing the stigma and sexualization of a woman’s body. It’s 2022. We do not need to be silenced about our bodies.
@@CindyM3705 what you consider “silencing”, I consider personal privacy for the sake of modesty. The whole world doesn’t need to know your bra size. The internet is full of creeps. Saying you wear a small is sufficient enough to get the fit across to the audience.

The traveler jumpsuit from Abercrombie comes in petite & it’s fantastic
The Olsen twins wear oversize clothings and I like the look on me. I love ankle strap shoes!!
