I hear ya man! Mine passed in 2010 and I bought a pair of Knicks Command Forces because he wore them to coach my basketball team in middle school. I was old enough to buy original Jordan 1s and up in store with him back in the good old days when they sat on shelves, so I’ve had my work cut out for me lol.
I got my first pair of Jordans when I was 10 or eleven in 1986. They were black and red 1's in a size 5 and a half. They were called Sky Jordans, not Air Jordans. Back then if the size was 6 or under the were called Sky Jordans. I'm pretty sure it was because they weren't putting air soles in those sizes so they called them Sky Jordans. As a 10 or 11 year old I was pissed. I felt cheated. lol. Next year I had grown enough to get size 7 Jordan 2's. Anyway, I digress. I agree with you. There was a card that came with the size 7 AJ 2's and, I'm pretty sure, with all the OG's I bought for the next years. Give us back the cards!!!

The Internet and all the sneaker apps have really made it possible to create a huge market for resellers, which was basically non-existent in the 90s, at least not at that level and speed. Also, in reading more about this reselling s*** last week I've learned about botting, which I knew nothing of, and was just outraged to discover that man. There's even a reselling market now for buying bots for god's sake! Crazy world, ain't it!? And there is no way some retailers (which I will not named here) are not part of the reselling game too somehow.

I hooped in them (indoor only) during my senior year in 98-99. My first J's were the 11's Concord. I bought both of them with my chores and my newspaper delivery money at a local independent retailer from back in the day. Today, it's almost like we need a mortgage to buy the damn shoe... and even then, good luck coping one.
I'd say don't hate the Player, hate the Game. Most resellers are people who Love Sneakers and Sneaker culture themselves and resell as a Side Hustle. IMO the culture itself is pretty fucked Up at the Moment. Everyone buys whats hyped whether they Like it or Not and Nike keeps on limiting the Number of pairs so much that a Lot of people will Take the L even on General Releases

As much as I love the white cement pair that I have, and still my fav colorway of this model, I cannot deny how great these look. Moreover, how good of a job they did making these close to the OG as they could. I'm such a sucker for the heel tab, and the black with the red is just too damn nice. Probably the best looking one color wise out of the original 4 colorways. Glad you got a pair dude!

THEY HAVE TO get someone to be quality control over the actual quality control. Quality control is 5 star PERFECT in that they are ALWAYS inconsistent. I just can't wrap my mind around it. Air Jordan's make so much money, one would think that they could make these retros damn near identical to the OG's. It really bothers me. I got my first pair of Jordan 1's in 1985 or 1986 and have bought consistently since. Some of the retros have been atrocious. Some of the worst ones I have seen have been in some of the 3's and 4's retros. Give ma a fuckin' break. I have seen some of the 08 and 2012 bred 4's that were shaped like a steel toed work boot. On any of the white/grey 4's between the years 2000 and 2015, they couldn't even get the colors to come close to matching the OGs. Absolutely no excuse for some of them. AT ALL!!!
thats why they probably shocked dropped them a month early because the quality is apparently lacking maybe on release day the later pairs will be more clean material wise

I have these 2020 fire red 4s and metalltic purple 4s in the same size and these fire reds are definitely more narrow. Are different 4s made slightly different silhouette/shape wise? I know older 4s compared to more current 4s have different silhouette/shape but these are both relatively new? Just wanna check in with an expert.

4's are the shoe that made me fall in love with sneakers. Got the black cements last year and the fire reds in the shock drop, need the militaries and the white cement to complete the OG set.

I’ve never had a problem with Adidas quality control, Nike quality control in the last 5 years is a complete embarrassment. It took me 5 pairs of black cement 3’s from 2018 to find a pair with matching leather!

Great video as usual! I've been trying to decide whether or not I like the shoe outta focus in the foreground and just you two in focus and then the rest outta focus. I'm not sure I like it aesthetically myself. When it comes to the shoe, that colorway is such a nice and classic look. The shirt your wearing in this video is also great!
I checked my 2020 J4 FR and there is a slight difference in the toe box, not a deal breaker since the overall build is so much better than my 2012 J4 FR. I'm gonna try to get another pair when it actually releases on Black Friday and see if there is any difference from the shock drop pairs.
Hahaha! I thought i was just being OC. But yeah, on mine the right one’s off too, but especially the elastic band along the side of the tongue that’s meant to keep it midline. The right side elastic of the right shoe is shorter so it pulls the tongue to the right. Drives me nuts. Lol

I understand what you mean by twisted sole, I thought I was crazy when I first experienced it. My first pair of Jordan 1s or retro jordans came from the Nike outlet and I didn't realize they had a twisted sole until it was worn at home. My left foot was ruined for the rest of the school year that year. I had to sell them mid way through the year. Btw they were the Green and Gold celtics colorway that I got for $40 at the outlet.

They look great - just wish the materials were more premium for that young $200 price point.
I have these 2020 fire red 4s and metalltic purple 4s in the same size and these fire reds are definitely more narrow. Are different 4s made slightly different silhouette/shape wise? I know older 4s compared to more current 4s have different silhouette/shape but these are both relatively new? Just wanna check in with an expert.

Am I crazy for thinking the jumpman on the back is cooler than the Nike air. I copped a 2020 pair retail and I love em but like goddamn everytime I tell a sneakerhead I think the jumpman logo on the back is cooler they like crucify me.
4's are the shoe that made me fall in love with sneakers. Got the black cements last year and the fire reds in the shock drop, need the militaries and the white cement to complete the OG set.
Man mines were jacked up too my left pair was creased up and more I hit on the shock drop too a Black Friday year dude anyways wanted to share my experience with you guys….mines still new don’t wear as much too keep in good condition….

I’ve never had a problem with Adidas quality control, Nike quality control in the last 5 years is a complete embarrassment. It took me 5 pairs of black cement 3’s from 2018 to find a pair with matching leather!

I can't believe that I've become a sneaker head at 57 years old. I've been trying to get all the new Jordan releases for about a year, now. I have 4 different pairs, brand new, still in the box, that I don't plan on ever wearing. I just wanted to see if I could get them. I have other shoes that I've worn once or twice and some not at all. My son calls me "The Drip God" for the way I match the shoes with my clothes. I had no idea what he was talking about. I thought he was trying to insult me.
On my black cement 3s my left shoe looks way better than the right. Shits weird
It was my right shoe. The sloe was so warped the front half didn’t touch the ground. And the stitching on the toe box was terrible. I actually sent them back to Nike. I finally hit on the sneakers ap and got garbage.
I might do the same to my pair. I was so disappointed.

Great video as usual! I've been trying to decide whether or not I like the shoe outta focus in the foreground and just you two in focus and then the rest outta focus. I'm not sure I like it aesthetically myself. When it comes to the shoe, that colorway is such a nice and classic look. The shirt your wearing in this video is also great!

I checked my 2020 J4 FR and there is a slight difference in the toe box, not a deal breaker since the overall build is so much better than my 2012 J4 FR. I'm gonna try to get another pair when it actually releases on Black Friday and see if there is any difference from the shock drop pairs.
Hahaha! I thought i was just being OC. But yeah, on mine the right one’s off too, but especially the elastic band along the side of the tongue that’s meant to keep it midline. The right side elastic of the right shoe is shorter so it pulls the tongue to the right. Drives me nuts. Lol

I really don't like the 4s in general. I like aspects of the 4 but just not the kicks as a whole. An exception would be the white/cement 4s

Out of 5 pairs only the left shoes was perfect. The Right shoe in every pair was lopsided or crooked. I don’t get why they make the left shoe so perfect and not the right? 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Yes yes yes! The quality control on these are trash!!!! I got 3 pairs and had to return 2 pairs and only kept 1 from Finish Line! My 2 I returned wore straight junk! I thought I’d triple up since they were sitting but nope I am good with the one pair that looks good so be careful ppl!
I understand what you mean by twisted sole, I thought I was crazy when I first experienced it. My first pair of Jordan 1s or retro jordans came from the Nike outlet and I didn't realize they had a twisted sole until it was worn at home. My left foot was ruined for the rest of the school year that year. I had to sell them mid way through the year. Btw they were the Green and Gold celtics colorway that I got for $40 at the outlet.
