So, I wore Vertx for a while, and I liked them when new. My profession calls for me to go business casual at all times. My EDC firearm is a S&W Bodyguard in .380. I liked the Vertx, because I could keep the .380 in zipped pocket in a pocket holster. Dislikes: Didn't feel they held up well, tendency to shrink in length, not really nice enough (according to the wife) to be considered business casual. Currently wearing IZODs, not enough pockets, but still pocket carrying in a pocket holster. I'm a big man, pants are 40x32, so all other pocket stuff is in left front, except wallet, right hip. Pockets look old man full (but I am an old man and I don't care). I carry a Leatherman Wave on a leather belt in a leather holster. My version of business casual can be anything from a tuck in sport shirt, to a dress shirt and light sport jacket, depending on the day. Since you've tested all the pants, would you have a suggestion as to what might fit that lifestyle? Loved the video.
I just received my first pair of delta stretch vertex pants.... never ordered pants online before so I took a stab at my size, I wear 34/30 in carhartts so that's what I ordered. The fit is 100% perfect. Length is a little longer than say a LEVI 30 inseam, but only by maybe an inch which is perfect. The pants sit right over the top of my shoes while sitting down as opposed to riding 3 inches over the ankle (ready for a flood?) And the waist is perfect. Tight enough to wear without a belt, loose enough to carry a double stack iwb. You sir, deserve the highest of fives for your fantastic content and reviews. My only complaint about the pants is their color options on the website. Only shows a 1cm/1cm square of the color vs the whole pants. Thought I ordered a dark grey, ended up being a dark brown. Still like the color, so not that much of a loss. Still the most comfortable pants I've ever put on!

Bought a pair of these a year ago when you talked about em. Since have tried a couple other including some more expensive Prana’s and these are easily the most comfy go to option I have. Good vid. Also like them because they don’t look obscenely “tacticool”

Those slender side pockets for a flashlight or tool are sweet. This explains how people can carry so much EDC compared to a regular 4 pocket setup. Will look at grabbing a few pairs of these.

All I wear for work (electrician) are tactical pants (5.11 Apex, 5.11 Stryke, LAPG Atlas). I picked up 2 pair of the Delta Stretch on your recommendation a while back & these bad boys are my go-to for when I'm not at work. I also rock the 5.11 Defenders outside of work & love that mag pocket on the hip bc I don't like to carry my cell in my front pockets, but I still prefer the fit & feel of the Vertx Delta Stretch. If they had that back hip mag pocket they'd be beast. Outside of work, unless I have a specific need for them (range, short hikes where I need to carry more on my person), I prefer no cargo pockets.

Hey Mike-my rottweiler had the TPLO surgery and it was the best thing I could of done for her. The healing process is long but you will have one happy pup.
I love carpenter pants because them lil leg pockets. The square pocket with slash pocket over it is supposed to be for levels and folding rulers but I find it keeps my multi tool, flashlight, and pen separated, but together. I usually cut off the hammer loop as it gets hung up on things too often. And I get mad when the manufacturer doesn’t put another small pocket on the hammer loop side as that is my extra magazine pocket for sidearm. I do have a custom made leather “organizer” for before said EDC’s, but I use it on my regular 5 pocket cowboy jeans. All of which, quick attaches to my edc backpack that makes it easy to grab and go with all my EDC’s together in one quick package that I can minimize per situation while driving to a destination.

I have zero shame about it. I am a software engineer, so I am not sweating or doing crazy shit every day anyways. The only types of people who genuinely disapprove of me wearing the same pants every day are the same types of people who I find crying because they drained their phone battery using the flashlight mode of their phone to find the small screw that fell off their car's keyless remote entry in a dark parking lot outside of their office because they were replacing the small battery in the remote and trying to use a tampon applicator as their screwdriver. At which point I usually get out my flashlight to find the screw, then open the half-chewed but still unopened blister pack of watch batteries with my knife, replace the battery and screw with my multi-tool, and charge their phone so they can call their significant other to ask them to record the Desperate Housewives episode they are missing (...and shoot the rapist that attacked them with my 9mm, then start a fire with a ferro rod until the police come to stay warm). So yes, I wear the same pants every day.

Propper BDU Trousers Button Fly 60/40 Twill are my go to. I too wear pants for days in a row with no issues. I'm hard on them at work, bushwacking off trail in woods and brush. At the price of $30 you can not go wrong.
Dude same. Triple Aught Design, Recon RS pants. I have three pairs and only wear them. I wear them for any occasion, any time of the year. I tried to find a cheaper alternative, since Triple Aught is expensive. Nothing even comes close. I just bought a different pant that Triple Aught has in stock with a similar pocket config just because the Recon RS pants are rarely in stock.
I wear the same pants every day as well. If they're good fucking pants they can handle it. You wash them. You change your underwear, you clean yourself. My pants don't and have never stunk. They get dirty well before they get any kind of nasty. The cost savings alone are insane, but I also just love knowing exactly how my pants are. Getting new ones always sucks for a bit. I have shorts and stuff I wear when the time calls for it, but I couldn't imagine having lots of pants. I love having one pair.
Pretty sick pants. I wear a lot of Kuhl pants/gear. More hiking, outdoors oriented gear, not as much tactical. Super comfy though and varying material types. Good luck with the pooch, hope all goes well dude.
KUHL is pretty much the only brand of clothing I by anymore. Love their stuff and there is quite a bit more thought put into there designs than anything I’ve seen before. REI Outlet is good for finding better deals.
I really like the vertx delta stretch pants for many of the same reasons. I had a tailor add a key/coin pocket because I can't stand not having a pocket there. The only pants I like better are the magpul reflex pants, it's a real shame those got discontinued.

I have one pair of work pants and one pair of not work pants. Each pair has its own dedicated EDC gear and belt. The only thing I have to switch between them is my wallet and car keys. I wash them MAYBE every two weeks. Great vid sir.

My go to's are Fjallraven Vida Pros and Kuhl Above the Law. Both are better than any Carhartts I've ever had. (And I have no complaints about Carhartt)
I've been wearing the same military ACU pants every single day for MONTHS... i wash em every week... they dry in 15 minutes then i put em back on... I wear em because they're breathable and SO MANY POCKETS
If only Vertx had a pair of pants in black that wasn't covered in cargo pockets. I wear the the Tru Spec classic because I work in a courthouse as a bailiff and need something rugged yet presentable.
Another commenter asked - have you tried Kuhl? I'm curious as well - these pants Delta pants look great -but Kuhl is BY FAR my son's and my favorite pant brand ,and we have tried a BUNCH! We love Outdoor Research for most things, my son likes Arc'teryx as well, but the Kuhl brand pant has been the best - very rugged (the heavier material pants)... just great for all around outside hiking, climbing, etc. The only pant we've found more durable is the Filson Tin Cloth pant - but that is a totally different animal all together and definitely not an everyday wear pant (we like the Tin Cloth items on our horse farm for work wear).
Yeah I do get this question a lot, and Kuhl makes quality stuff. My main issue with their pants is that I haven't found a pair that has enough pockets in the places I like them. I will need to check out their latest offerings, but for Kuhl, the reason I haven't been the biggest fan, is simply the pocket layout.

He does A LOT of hiking/kayaking all over the country and he is a true minimalist when going out (hammock, water filter, few other things in a small Osprey pack) - he usually even finds his own food (fish, rabbits plants, etc). Me...I use my cell phone to find the nearest hotel.However if you've got pants you like - I would just stick with those! Been rocking the trayvax armored summit for over two years now. It is still really easy to slide cards out with the armor plate on it while hiding more information on top card and making it RFID resistant so they claim. Haven't had my info stolen RFID yes so I'm gonna say it works so far lol. Can't wait for some patreon vertx bags. I've been wanting a Gamut for a while but haven't pulled the trigger. I have been hooked on the 5.11 Stryke Pants. I have several in the same color (battle brown) and they are my goto pants. Very comfortable with plenty of pockets and decent stretch. I have never understood why people think its gross. Do you wash your shoes every day? Why not? You wear socks to absorb the sweat and then keep wearing the same shoes everyday. Pants you have underwear under (some people don't I suppose) but I never understood why its such a big deal to wear them over and over as long as they aren't dirty or stink.
Yes sir, these pants are #2 on my top 5 favorite pair of pants. For all the same reasons you mentioned in the video. I've been rocking three different colors of this pant for three or so years, Love them.
I pretty much wear the same pants in a civilized/urban setting until I have a reason to wash them, average about 5 to 7 days. Nothing wrong with that. In the field, I always wear the same pants for the entire trip unless they get soaked or something. I like 5.11, TNF, and Fjellreven, but my preferred pants are my trusty old Railriders. I have some that are 25+ years old now (repaired and repaired again). In fact, I have told my wife I wish to be cremated in them (so I will have them in Valhalla). Railriders are practically indestructible, super comfortable, and are "tactical" without looking tactical. They don't draw attention when traveling, at nice restaurants, and nicely hide my EDC with lots of flat, in seam, or internal organizers. Also, they are fast drying, flame resistant, and IR neutral. My first consideration, outside of fit, is the fabric. I like matte color and only natural earthtones which also hide dirt. Ripstop if possible. Flame-resistant, especially for travel. I like an inner lining if possible both for comfort against the skin and insulation (I live in the arctic). Fast drying and easy care. Wide belt loops/channels, minimum 6. Durable webbing button closure, French fly, side adjustable. Drying/suspender loops if possible. Reinforced seat and knees. Adjustable cuffs, with reinforced inners if possible. Less important to me is waterproofness (like Goretex). I do like zipoff convertibles for travel for more versatility, less packing. Pockets, well, that is a whole separate topic. But I require 3 minimum, but 5 is optimal. I add pockets to my pants so all of them have the same basic layout for my EDC.
Those pants have been sold out forever, unless you have a size 44 waist. I’ve considered gaining the weight just so I can get another pair. Reviews like these are putting a crazy demand on them. Try the Vertx jeans. They’re a good fallback option.
😂🤣 I wash em after about 4 uses each. I rotate between the 2 or 3 pairs (mocha, tobacco, and graphite) so ppl at the office won’t notice. Vertex delta stretch are the best hands down, especially for those that appendix carry. 5’10” 230-240lb, 40x32 is perfect...and yes it’s possible to appendix carry everyday at that weight.
I wear scrubs 5 days a week, but when I’m not wearing scrubs I wear two pairs 5.11 shorts vaporlites 1 week at a time, one black one grey, for the past half year. I only wash when I know they’re dirty. No shame in wearing the same thing everyday it’s so easy

These are my favorite pant. Comfortable, functional, all while looking clean enough to be dressy.

I tried to find a cheaper alternative, since Triple Aught is expensive. Nothing even comes close. I just bought a different pant that Triple Aught has in stock with a similar pocket config just because the Recon RS pants are rarely in stock.
Yeah, same, I usually cycle thru 2 pants, with one extra if I don't get to laundry when I need to, I wear multiples of a lot of stuff, mostly black.
I wear the same pants every day as well. If they're good fucking pants they can handle it. You wash them. You change your underwear, you clean yourself.
My pants don't and have never stunk. They get dirty well before they get any kind of nasty.
The cost savings alone are insane, but I also just love knowing exactly how my pants are. Getting new ones always sucks for a bit.

Pretty sick pants. I wear a lot of Kuhl pants/gear. More hiking, outdoors oriented gear, not as much tactical. Super comfy though and varying material types. Good luck with the pooch, hope all goes well dude.
Yeah, once Kuhl starts adding a couple more pockets, I might try out a pair. Maybe they have, I haven't checked their offerings in maybe 6 months.
KUHL is pretty much the only brand of clothing I by anymore. Love their stuff and there is quite a bit more thought put into there designs than anything I’ve seen before. REI Outlet is good for finding better deals.
I've wore the same styled carpenter pants and steel toed boots for 10+ years daily. I'm always ready to get shit done and I've never regretted it.

I really like the vertx delta stretch pants for many of the same reasons. I had a tailor add a key/coin pocket because I can't stand not having a pocket there. The only pants I like better are the magpul reflex pants, it's a real shame those got discontinued.

I do the same. I hate changing belt knife wallet multi-tool flashlight spare mag mask and some random things. When there already set up in the pants on the floor. I'll change them weekly unless I was out in dirt or something. Also I always only have one favorite/comfortable pair. And if lucky I'll have a second pair I don't mind wearing so much.

I have one pair of work pants and one pair of not work pants. Each pair has its own dedicated EDC gear and belt. The only thing I have to switch between them is my wallet and car keys. I wash them MAYBE every two weeks. Great vid sir.
Same practical pants everyday here as well. I do wash them every week and multiple colors with pockets.

My go to pants are 5.11 Apex, so comfortable. I agree tho, I ware mine for over a week then wash them, I work from home and they are not my yard work pants. My belt, holster, and pocket stuff stays in them - I just hang em up. My wife thinks its gross, but I think she's nuts for washing jeans after wearing them for a few hours. Thanks, glad I'm not the only one lol.
My go to's are Fjallraven Vida Pros and Kuhl Above the Law. Both are better than any Carhartts I've ever had. (And I have no complaints about Carhartt)

I've been wearing the same military ACU pants every single day for MONTHS... i wash em every week... they dry in 15 minutes then i put em back on... I wear em because they're breathable and SO MANY POCKETS

If only Vertx had a pair of pants in black that wasn't covered in cargo pockets. I wear the the Tru Spec classic because I work in a courthouse as a bailiff and need something rugged yet presentable.
Another commenter asked - have you tried Kuhl? I'm curious as well - these pants Delta pants look great -but Kuhl is BY FAR my son's and my favorite pant brand ,and we have tried a BUNCH! We love Outdoor Research for most things, my son likes Arc'teryx as well, but the Kuhl brand pant has been the best - very rugged (the heavier material pants)... just great for all around outside hiking, climbing, etc. The only pant we've found more durable is the Filson Tin Cloth pant - but that is a totally different animal all together and definitely not an everyday wear pant (we like the Tin Cloth items on our horse farm for work wear).
Yeah I do get this question a lot, and Kuhl makes quality stuff. My main issue with their pants is that I haven't found a pair that has enough pockets in the places I like them. I will need to check out their latest offerings, but for Kuhl, the reason I haven't been the biggest fan, is simply the pocket layout.
@@LastLineOfDefense Gotcha - my son's favorite style - not sure what it is - looks almost identical to the ones you are wearing. He does A LOT of hiking/kayaking all over the country and he is a true minimalist when going out (hammock, water filter, few other things in a small Osprey pack) - he usually even finds his own food (fish, rabbits plants, etc). Me...I use my cell phone to find the nearest hotel.However if you've got pants you like - I would just stick with those! BTW - I have subscribed - you give some good info that can be useful (I just bought a new 2019 DCSB Off Road Tacoma) - that's how I found you (doing research on trucks).

Been rocking the trayvax armored summit for over two years now. It is still really easy to slide cards out with the armor plate on it while hiding more information on top card and making it RFID resistant so they claim. Haven't had my info stolen RFID yes so I'm gonna say it works so far lol. Can't wait for some patreon vertx bags. I've been wanting a Gamut for a while but haven't pulled the trigger. Maybe I'll win one lol.
My favorite is Triple Aught Design TAD. Best pair of pants and absolute best pair of shorts.
I have been hooked on the 5.11 Stryke Pants. I have several in the same color (battle brown) and they are my goto pants. Very comfortable with plenty of pockets and decent stretch. I might need to try a pair of the Vertex pants. If the Vertex pants are as good as the Vertex bags I own I will be impressed. Thanks for another great review!!!

I have never understood why people think its gross. Do you wash your shoes every day? Why not? You wear socks to absorb the sweat and then keep wearing the same shoes everyday. Pants you have underwear under (some people don't I suppose) but I never understood why its such a big deal to wear them over and over as long as they aren't dirty or stink.

I have a pair of these, but I prefer the 5.11 defender-flex pants. Similar style pant, but the fit is a bit better for myself.
I pretty much wear the same pants in a civilized/urban setting until I have a reason to wash them, average about 5 to 7 days. Nothing wrong with that.
In the field, I always wear the same pants for the entire trip unless they get soaked or something.
I like 5.11, TNF, and Fjellreven, but my preferred pants are my trusty old Railriders. I have some that are 25+ years old now (repaired and repaired again). In fact, I have told my wife I wish to be cremated in them (so I will have them in Valhalla).
Railriders are practically indestructible, super comfortable, and are "tactical" without looking tactical. They don't draw attention when traveling, at nice restaurants, and nicely hide my EDC with lots of flat, in seam, or internal organizers. Also, they are fast drying, flame resistant, and IR neutral.
My first consideration, outside of fit, is the fabric. I like matte color and only natural earthtones which also hide dirt. Ripstop if possible. Flame-resistant, especially for travel. I like an inner lining if possible both for comfort against the skin and insulation (I live in the arctic). Fast drying and easy care. Wide belt loops/channels, minimum 6. Durable webbing button closure, French fly, side adjustable. Drying/suspender loops if possible. Reinforced seat and knees. Adjustable cuffs, with reinforced inners if possible. Less important to me is waterproofness (like Goretex). I do like zipoff convertibles for travel for more versatility, less packing. Pockets, well, that is a whole separate topic. But I require 3 minimum, but 5 is optimal. I add pockets to my pants so all of them have the same basic layout for my EDC.

I use to do this and you could smell them across the room. They developed a weird smell, and you couldn't wash it out of them.
Those pants have been sold out forever, unless you have a size 44 waist. I’ve considered gaining the weight just so I can get another pair. Reviews like these are putting a crazy demand on them. Try the Vertx jeans. They’re a good fallback option.

😂🤣 I wash em after about 4 uses each. I rotate between the 2 or 3 pairs (mocha, tobacco, and graphite) so ppl at the office won’t notice. Vertex delta stretch are the best hands down, especially for those that appendix carry. 5’10” 230-240lb, 40x32 is perfect...and yes it’s possible to appendix carry everyday at that weight.
Vertx is cool have a pair of them, but Fjallraven = master race.

I wear scrubs 5 days a week, but when I’m not wearing scrubs I wear two pairs 5.11 shorts vaporlites 1 week at a time, one black one grey, for the past half year. I only wash when I know they’re dirty. No shame in wearing the same thing everyday it’s so easy
