A completely legal E-bike would be eligible for the cycle to work scheme. Eskute don't seem to have registered for the scheme though, so no tax savings available :(
Just got the 1500-2000w kit from your store. As a carer I should get round a lot faster than walking, not got the battery yet will get that next month from your store should help out a lot thank you. Dan.
Quick question... If I'm to build an ebike that's over the UK specifications, am I still allowed to ride it on the road without the battery installed? i.e. Not functioning as an ebike. I'm wondering if you've ever come across this aspect. I'd love to build a higher power one for off-road, but also use it to nip to the shops without the risk of police confiscating it.
While a grand isn't bad, you can grab a shengmilo (however it's spelled) for 1200 with a 1500w motor even being a big guy I still can hit 30+ with peddle assist.
Looks like a pretty decent bike I thought it would have cost more than that after seeing some in other shops that don't look as good and cost 50% more than this one.
Kevin im liking the look of that bike but the thing I like about its clean is there's not too much clutter on the handlebars I would prefer the throttle to work for hill starts but ye pretty decent e-bike 👍🏾
It depends alot on the type of bike, some don't allow this. Though mostly the limits/locks are on the display rather than the controller so you can always buy a new display and unlock it.
Can you please make an Commuter Ebike video. I need one that will be suitable for my 25 mile daily roundtrip 3x a week, once we get back to the office & I'm looking for say a100 mile assisted range as I don't want to have to charge it more than once a week. Cheers
love the content...plz sort your music/voice sound levels out...turned it up because its hard to hear you. then the music blasts out ...not good at 3am
That looks half decent for an entry level street legal bike - the price isn’t bad either! How difficult is it to assemble? I’m OK working on cars but I’ve never assembled a bike, let alone an ebike.
Ive got a Ncm Moscow plus, which is very simular to this bike, i would like to see how these to compare to each other they are simular pricing with the moscow now at 1250.
I was really interested In the bike in this video but then I was extremely distracted by the studio lol , Love a good setup as you can probably tell by the profile picture of my studio lol 😆
Hope you had a good crimbo and happy new year man Yeah I just need some advice. As I switch on my ebike my S830 display says 188% battery before resetting to 100% and makes small clicking sound near the motor as display switches on. The battery drains most of the way but cuts out a bit sooner just as the display shows draining on the display which should give me the extra 10 mins of reserve power to get home but won’t. . Still plenty of range. I just have those gripes. I’ve a 20ah shark jumbo 52v but it did fly off the bike a couple of months ago. I just hope it’s caused nothing too serious. The bms could be it or a cell the bms is trying to balance. Either way I’m no good with electronics at all. Aha. Any guesses or suggestions. I’m thinking a battery service is definitely needed. Has been working though just cut short at the end and the slower powering on. The battery symbol even comes up at the end while showing no percentage then 5 mins later it’s showing 100 % till I drain Down to 85% then it cuts out again. I’ve heard it’s not good to fully drain a battery all the time Anyway. But still those little faults are there and need sorting ahah. The joys of riding 😂
Do they offer u some discount code to use buddy I like the look of this the throttle part is what I sorta want don't mind the assist but be nice to just use throttle now and again
Hi, yes it does. I have this bike and installed the throttle to test and it works pretty well without pedalling at all. The battery is decent but I think the 44 mile range was tested by someone who is 8 stone, in flat ground with zero wind!
Just bought this and happy with it, really enjoy riding it. slight annoyance though, slight Rattle with the battery casing when I go off a kurb or hit a bump, anyone else have this? Is it normal?if not can it be sorted? Thanks to anyone with advice 👍

Av a gud'n Andy mate, merry crimbo 🇬🇧👍😎🙏Edit, FIXED IT, had to reset the BMS 😊
Good to see ya back mate, i think once you over the speed demon stuff , as example the bafang 750 17.5 ah goes lovely on pas, pulls 20 steady without blinking, not many roadies can do that consistantly, or you can ramp it up if you meet a silly bugger, and there are plenty of…..haha i just let em go these days tbh lol
Will this allow speeds of over 15.5mph with pedalling I have a small ebike folder that when it hits the 15mph barrier it becomes very difficult to go any faster
So apparently if you disconnect the white wire underneath the batteries lock it will unrestrict the speed and do about 25mph. Also someone said on another review about setting the wheel size to 16.
its a nice bike but a grand!!! i could build a really nice ebike for a bit less with a much bigger and more powerful battery and motor. but not everyone is as technically minded as me. also love the tunes mate
You could literally build any electric bike cheaper than the pre-built equivalent. The same applies to a lot of things in life. The point is, how does this bike compare to other pre-built bikes.

Andy, your e-bike kits are good, have power and the capacities of the batteries are big enough. This bike here is something and nothing. A grand for a bike with a small battery. Only this battery works with the bike. Very limited possibilities. Somehow overpriced, the grand is wasted. For the same money one can ride legally with much better battery.
I think throttle is road legal ..Throttle assistance of up to 4mph is allowed ...i think those bikes have it setup to legal use ....it wont go over 15mph and throttle will only give 4mph juice As far as upgrade ..1000w 48v would be ideal on that bike 12ah battery ...get 28mph and 18 to 20mile range ....1000w rear hub is what £260 at best ..Voliamart .....it would still be worth buying that bike and replaceing the back wheel for 1000w ....£1300 to buy and upgrade would still make it cheaper then some other china 1000w ebikes
Great vids, love the music. Same music I would do if I had the ability. Funny how music is like giving birth to a child and see it grow. If you can make, it keep doing it.
Hi Andy, I have this model bike, how can I derestrict it 🤔?
What a great fair assessment of this bike. Nothing is perfect and you called it the way it is. Thanks
I think you need it in assist level 0 for throttle mate 👍🏻
Yes, in level 0, it will work.
Correct.

You have put the pedal assist in zero to make the throttle work go down to level 1 then go to zero
1k bike like this is ok commuting as long as no real hills and somewhere safe to lick it up both ends.
