Already bought me and my family tickets to the 6 hours of São Paulo, so stoked for WEC to come back to my country. It'll the first racing event that'll attend, so excited. Hopefully I can get my lego 963 signed by all the Porsche boys

This is absolutly madness that WEC is still one of the less followed competition. It really has been giving the most epic racing in ages and the 24h le mans 2023 has been the most watched motorsport event of all time.
Also it is now very likely that Mercedes won't make the cut next year. However MacLaren will probably be in thanks to United Motorsport.
It has been said that Imola is a one year deal and WEC should be back to Monza after. Sebring is much less likely, especially in a Super Sebring formula, as WEC simply doesn't want to have one of its race as a support event (ego stuff). It is not granted that it stays at COTA, but there is other options on the table such as Daytona.
The reason Mercedes won’t make the cut………

Maybe more races could change that. I saw them the last time they were at Road Atlanta for the Petit LeMans race years ago. What a great time that was. I feel the higher car count is going to help immensely.
RIP to the GTE category. Provided some of the best gt cars ever.

It looks like Mercedes have no space anymore in GT3 category and i have mixed feelings about pushing money packet middle east tracks and loosing historic tracks like sebring or monza or even portimao. That is even bigger problem in F1. Good recap man, also nice AC shoots.
I wast expecting someone to say this. Yes, Merc wont take part, but that spot will be filled by McLaren.
Monza was dropped because it had renovations to do right when WEC could race there. And from what have heard, Sebring was rather inconvenient because of calendar interfering with the opening of IMSA.
Really been getting into the WEC and this helped alot so thanks! Very underrated
There is nothing better to watch in racing than auto manufacturers beating the hell out of each other on the track. In America Trans-Am and IMSA Camel GT and GTP series was the greatest era of racing I've ever witnessed, while Group C in Europe was kicking butt too. I'm really excited for this season.

I haven't been this excited about racing since attending my first race in 1970. WEC Hypercar racing is fantastic! The cars are super high tech, look cool and are very fast. The drivers are talented and the competition is outstanding. GTE is more fun as well. I get goosebumps and my eyes water watching this great racing. Thank you WEC for bringing racing back to life for me!

As of 10/11/2023, the WEC grid is locked to 37 de to space constraints in Imola and Sau paulo

COTA is the worst track for fans to see endurance racing. Was there at the last WEC race and limited places for the fan to see the race. They should have gone to Watkins Glen, or returned to Sebring. So I guess I'll just go and see the IMSA races instead. At least I'll be at some tracks that are better for endurance fans to see more of the race, than limited to the front straight and a corner or two.
Still sad about Glikenhaus but hopefully they will be back in 25-26

@@MrGoombasticveryFantastic they tried to enter IMSA but they rejected them, Glickenhaus had a pretty big financial situation and they withdrew from the last 3-2 rounds of this WEC season and is not going to be in WEC next season so they’ll probably be back around 2025 hopefully
@@definitely_not_nick41 I can imagine it wasnt cheap or easy to fund a top level team like that especially when theyd have 2 cars out there. Hopefully he finds somebody to invest into the team and they land in a good spot. Those cars were perhaps the most visually appealing out of all the new HCs imo

I think in Doha and Imola the GT3 will have big problems to overtake. Gt3 races in Imola ar really boring and i think in Doha it will be the same...
Thats where multiclass steps in, the classes interacting with each other will allow for opportunities to show

I would love to see a race in Australia for WEC such as Bathurst or even a street race!
Bathurst is not suitable for WEC. The track is too tight and dangerous for multi-class racing. Faster cars will severly struggle to overtake the slower cars.
@@christheradar Makes sense, but Australia also has plenty of other circuits to offer to the WEC, maybe we could even build a new circuit to suit WEC and other regulations

They just need to sort out the whole pit lane to have enough garages, plus the track would be a little small for a field that big, I reckon if Motorsport Australia and the FIA put a little work into it, it would be a very entertaining endurance race at a great circuit!

Great video! Although i would recommend to be smoother with your voice as you sound a little bit AI generated lol. Id also recommend to cut out some unnecessary repetition of facts already stated, like after saying a year like 2020, you could just say 22 or 23 afterwards in reference to the years, and it would still make sense. otherwise a great and informative video!

Not trying to be an asshole here, just wanting to be genuinely helpful. Imola is actually pronounced "E-moh-lah". And I that sounds just like you're just saying the letter E in english. Then Mo, with a hard O that doesn't transition into an U sound at the end. And then a final La with a hard A that sounds like you're saying Ah but with an L at the start. Hope it helps and great video, definitely earned a new subscriber.

It's similar to when people say 'Murćielago' in American English and Spanish. I am not French, so I don't necessarily have to pronounce the French words the same way you do. I hope you can understand and bear with me.
