i been picking these up too mainly cuz im new in the knife game so im looking for the blade shape i like most. today i got an ozark with a sliver aluminum handle, sheeps blade spring assited with the frame lock for 8$. much like the blue one but seems to be an upgrade and i actually like it quite a bit n the sheeps foot blade im enjoying alot as well
Well, thanks for watching! Considering they are the same price point, it's probably more of a preference difference than it's better. But I haven't checked that one out yet! I will be sure to do so. I usually prefer fixed blades.
@@projectknifehand its essentially the same knife as i have both of them but yea its preference. ive noticed with these ozarks the main blade screw needs to be taken out and add a dab of loctite or they WILL get loose very quick (in my experience anyway)
Good information. We all know you get what you pay for most times. A few times when I get on an airplane these knives would be a good choice for a week or two vacation then when it’s time to come home you only loose $8
That's an excellent point. I love my quality knives but honestly I have lost a couple and it's heartbreaking. Cheap stuff isn't always bad, but it's less often good for sure.
Ozark Trail has a different target market than your custom knives. No competition there. Wouldn't be my first choice, maybe in a pinch or something to keep in the junk drawer when something better wasn't easily accessible.
Oh for sure. The black one definitely is a toss in the glove box or junk drawer knife. The blue one isn't so bad. Not for a second did I expect them to be anything like a nice handmade knife. But since I can't make folders I was curious.
Buy the $9.97 one with D2 and Orange handle. I carry mine daily and have multiple $200+ Benchmade and Spyderco Ina drawer. 😂
I tried to start there but they didn't have it. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
@@projectknifehand they are made of unobtainium. 🤣
Oh well lol
Sure you do let me guess you threw your 945 BM away because this piece of plastic was so nice .
@@southside1975 I am not even sure what you are trying to say. Threw what away?

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I don't expect much but the blue handle one is decent enough to carry around worry free.
