What a great idea (the kit!). It seems like a good way to break a creative block, by minimising one's choices rather than having the whole craft room to choose from. I would add layers of patterned paper and a few rolls of washi, since I use those a lot.
I have been trying to do backgrounds ready to go: gel plate, alcohol ink, stamps, cover plates, stencils and I like your idea of paper strips and washi tape. Especially when I am feeling uninspired, I can make backgrounds and rack them up. I don't have such a wonderful system for my embossing folders as you do, but whenever I get a new one, I run it on thin (cheap) cardstock and keep them with the folders. When I'm wondering about using a folder, I pull out the stack of examples and look at them with my card.
I maintain computer spread sheets of my card lists: birthdays (including birth year), anniversaries (including wedding date), valentines and Christmas. I don't send Easter, St Pats, Halloween or Thanksgiving cards. It prevents overlooking someone and it is also easy to edit the lists if, for example, someone passes away or you wish to add someone.
Pretty cards and great ideas! I like your organizing references to location of your sentiments. I am interested in seeing your craft room. I just signed up for your channel. Fun! I can't wait to check out your downloads.
Super ideas!! Love the idea of laminating your trackers too. Room on the dudes can help with a tiny note as to ‘style’/details of card sent as well…great tool,TY!!🧑🏼🎨😀
Wendy, where do you get your ephemera? That little yellow case is perfect. Do you buy them, fussy cut them, print then cut with Cricut, or something else I'm missing?
@@villagecardandcrafts I miss Tuesday Morning. I have huge amounts of 12x12 paper pads & packs that were so cheap (i make my own envelopes) and dies and washi tapes. Also, chocolate shot glasses, which are great with Bailey's. :D
I made a dates to remember "book" many years ago. It is functional, but noy any where as decorative as yours. I just used a plain font, and none of the pretty things on the top or sides. I also don't have the 'made' ' sent' columns either. That is a good idea tho. One thing I do have is what the occasion is. Birthday or Anniversary. My mind often forgets, especially is both days are close to each other.
Is there something else you would add to your Quick Card Kit?

Wonderful! I’m so glad I’m able to help. 😊
Maybe cut some sprigs from gold metallic paper or vellum to tuck behind the sentiment or ephemera.
Yes! I agree. 💕

Most ephemera is Tim Holtz or American Crafts (Joann’s/ Tuesday Morning before they closed). The yellow case is a photo holder that’s 4x6.
