    DAMN COACH!
Been off from boxing for 10 years, moved back to my home town, my old trainer is still at it. 70+ years old, and these new teens are undisciplined, cocky snot noses. So instead of getting work in myself, I have become a supportive trainer to grandpops. To the point though; I've been watching tons of your older videos, footwork - basic combos etc, and just saw the notification for this vid. And DAMN COACH (!!) you look harder than ever! The beard fits you like a glove! You look physically stronger than what you already looked like in the older vids! And your editing skills are on a completely different level! Amazing progress!
As soon as my shit with the new job stables out, I'm going to invest in your knowlege on your site. Thank you so much for your time, your knowlege, your pedagogical explenations and your new angles on boxinh skills! Much love!

Hi JT, I trained with a coach for a few months in a gym where the floor is soft and fell in love with the sport. But later I moved to another gym with hard floor and began to have a knee pain every time after workout(4 sets of bag work + rope jumping 10 mins). I took your advice and got a pair of badminton shoes instead of boxing shoes(with flat sole), it did help a little but my knee still hurts a little bit after workout. Thanks for your nice videos again, and look forward to your reply.

I was on the receiving end of this hook in sparring last week, I'm 16st 5 (226lb) and the guy was a slightly smaller quicker fighter ( 200lb ish ). He set me up sweet and stopped me dead in my tracks it didn't particularly hurt but it took my breath in an instant. Always underestimated the body shot but so effective. I have learnt from this and intend to look out for this more in the future. Great Videos always makes me want to practice more. Keep them coming coach.

My concern is getting hit by a quick right as you're trying to throw the shovel hook even though you punched to the head to open up the body. Your're technique, #2 kind of addresses that but from that side angle it's hard to hit the liver which is what I want to do. And if your're in a street fight you may hit the guy's elbow. I am an much older guy (65+) and want to have the best two or three techniques for self-defense. Great videos. Thanks.
