Yeah that’s not mid rare :/ see how the red is shinny? The color around the center is cooked to the temperature you want. You want a nice rosey pink/ red. If it makes a squishy sound when cutting- it’s under cooked. Especially for a steak that thick it should be based or put in a convection oven
