Great job
The sound is so gratifying!!
I just love this. I like the combination of the barn wood with the metal. Great reuse of old materials, Wes. Well done!
Thanks, it has been one of my favourite projects so far.
Man if only you could work this fast irl
I do
Yeah accurate tbh
boy does he love that kregg jig.lol. i learned hot to make my life easier
Looks awesome, if the client truly wanted it on casters, you may have been able to add a kick plate or "step" off the front and mounted the outside casters there, that could have adjusted the center of gravity back a bit so it wouldn't tip. Looks like the top is about 10-12" of overhang, so 6 or 7" foot rest wouldnt be a tripping hazard and could work.
I love the look of those cantilevers by the way.
Just watched two videos you are pretty good but the shop and tool are what got me lol great work look forwarding to checking out more videos when I have time
Nice job man
Nice work sir 👍
Nicely done Wes! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you!
Beautiful work👊🏼 love the metal with the Barnwood
Thanks!
Smart decision getting rid of those casters. Quick build, I'm impressed. I do recommend mounting your kreg jig on a chunk of 12"x12" plywood (or something like that) as it will make it much more secure and not tippy. you can then clamp it in place on the workbench when you use it.
Thanks! Every time I use my kreg jig I always tell myself to screw it to a piece of plywood.
Beautiful work Wes! I can see why they wanted it on casters to move around. I guess that you could have added two hidden heavy weights in each front corner to stop it from tipping. In any event, great job on your part........... 👍👍😉😉
We did think about hiding 2x2 patio pavers into the bottom.
Nice work.
Love it👍
Thank you!
Nice job!
Thanks!
NICE!!
Thanks!
I like the metal panels. A bit of a different touch.
Thanks. It was my customers idea.
I ran into a similar issue with a cabinet that had an overhang tipping. Since it was going to be used for storage. I figured the weight of the items would negate that issue. Just to be safe though, I installed smaller diameter casters. In the end. there was a slight issue when unloaded, but only as far as it took for the panel to touch the floor. With it fully loaded, there was no tipping issue. I don't know if that would have worked in your case without knowing how much weight would have been inside the cabinet.
It might have worked. They were ok with it not being mobile. Thanks for watching!
Excelente!👍
Thanks!
Any plans?
Just need a few dimensions to build one for myself
2nd this
Wes was that your design or the customers? Either way you did a beautiful job, I suspect it is everything the customer wanted! Love it!
It was a combination. Between the two of us. I was pretty much given free range on this.
I think it is awesome. Great way to stay "rustic" and inexpensive and perfect for the space! You did a really nice job on it and I can't imagine the customer didn't absolutely love it! Oh and I also wanted to say that you video was great! Not a lot of talking but still very clear what you did and how you made it all come together! 👍🏼
I want to do exactly that but w/ casters! any tips? maybe a shorter overhang? Or since it's personal use, throw on some heavy bricks on the 'front' side as a counter balance? Or is it simply not possible?
Bricks in the bottom would work, also a shorter or no overhang
@@WesHamstra thnx 4 the reply/tips.
What the height from floor to top of the bar the raised part
What did you install on your saw for the shadow line?
It came with it. When buying a dewalt saw make sure it has the xps feature. I believe it is an upgrade that you can buy and put on.

good stuff! do you have dimensions of this build? I'm building something similar
It was 8’ long. It’s 36” high and 42” high to the bar top. I believe it was 30” deep
@@WesHamstra youre the man! thank you!
Great job.
Thanks!
