Just got mine today, tried wiring one up and after 4 flashes, it is going into rapid mode. Wondering was yours doing the same? Going to see what the resistance is and see if I can fix it...
@TheGingybeardMan I've got a 05 sportster. Getting the multimeter onto the old indicator it was reading 0.6 ohm where the led is so high it just showed as an open circuit so I'm guessing that's why 😅. Ah well it was only £11 lol
Nice!! Love when the lower price option gives you what you want. I bought a harley davidson 2 up seat sometime ago cost almost $500 US dollars and now I'm trying to justify spending another $500 to get a saddlemen seat cause they're narrower. 🤣
hey dude, I have a 2012 72' I've been working on, I used these as well, mounted them on my triple tree just above the headlight, hides em in nice and makes for an easy wire tuck
I went with the Drag Specialties undermount indicators. Think they were like $70. Wanted the Brown Industies version but man they were pricey. So far so good tho. Keep those vids coming!
Yeah $200 for tiny leds is just ridiculous. Never again will I spend that kind of coin on them. Drag specialities are a good brand they'll last forever 👍
I have to order a second set. The long one looks ridiculous especially being without a clutch lever on my bars. I moved it to my foot and shaved the mounting bracket to only accomodate the mirror mount. The cost of modifying
Hey mate, love the videos and your channel. I would be grateful if you could answer a quick question. When you fitted the LED under perch indicators to your FXBB Street Bob, did you need to add a load equaliser too? Or did the led indicators work on their own? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks :)
Thanks for following the channel mate. I didn't fit any resistors/load equalisers to my softail street bob when I installed the underperch indicators. The leds will still work fine without resistors but you will notice a fast flash on your indicator panel. The fast flashing of the indicator panel didn't bother me so I never got around to installing resistors.
All 2014 up Sportsters have a canbus system for the indicators. You can reset the hyperflash by running your hazard lights which will reset the canbus. Here's a link explaining it. support.customdynamics.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051783233--CanBUS-Harley-Davidson-Rapid-Turn-Signal-Indicator-Flash
Cheers mate, I think I'll stick with these bars hey. If I went with rabbit ears you wouldn't be able to see these indicators straight on due to the angle of the grips.
Bought similar and immediately hyper flashing. Something to mention that this is a possible issue. Wish I didn't bother now, having to now look at load resisters.
Looks good brother! Much cleaner. I went with Kodlin Neowise rear indicators and Kodlin Elypse for the front. Tiny little bastards but mighty bright. Lol
The indicators flashed at a normal speed but the indicator light on the speedo had a hyper flash. To fix this I bought some custom dynamics posi tap resistors and wired them to the indicator wires. These modern sportsters run a canbus system and not a replaceable LED flasher relay.
@@bernardoreilly3720 if you want to eliminate the fast flashing indicator light on your speedo then yes. Otherwise the indicators themselves flash at a normal rate.
I've got a video coming shortly on that. They will work and blink normally without resistors but you will get a hyperflashing indicator light on your speedometer.
Don't do it...Theres already enough cars pulling out in front because they didn't see you indicating especially at roundabouts, the original indicators are good enough with a nice large lens and lamp, convert to LED inserts then fine but do not put your life at risk because it looks cool with these silly things.
You do you buddy. If you watched the whole video you would see that they're just as bright as the stock indicators. It's not the size of the housing you should worry about its the brightness of the led or globe.
@@TheGingybeardMan If a car don't see a whole bike and person I am not depending on a light. The front lights are to tell people what I am doing. I only do it if I feel it's safe. The rear lights tell people I am stopping but I am still watching them in the mirror.
Great work on the video. Well presented, very informative.
Great video mate, considered these but figured they might be crap.
Gonna buy a set now 🤙
Amazing! I’ve got a very similar £15 set in the shed… debates fitting them or binning them but you’ve just convinced me!
Go for it man, wack em on the bike. I was really surprised with the quality 👍
Just bought a set of eBay specials. Hopefully 2 years from this video, yours are still working.
@@lighter7000 yes mate they're still working

Man im hearing ya, I swapped the seat twice on my streetbob and was $500 a pop 😪
Cheap parts are hard to come by for Harleys.
A much cleaner look and plenty bright!
I bought some for my Iron horse chopper.. I'm happy with them. They fit great an are clean looking 👍💯😎

All LEDs will give a hyperplash without installing load resistors mate. It doesn't matter what brand led you go with.
