- Welcome Back To Another video.
In today's video, I decided to head back out to see what I could capture before and after dark. All I had to do was wait for the Lights of this amazing City to light up once again.
The gear I used for this shoot was a Sony A7R V and the Sony 35mm 1.4 gm

thank you for seeming like such a good fella. Love your videos. You manage to hold my attention, without overwhelming me with information. You have such calm, but aptivaiting voice. Keep Rocking man
Very much appreciated, thank you😉👍
What a beautiful city, you’ve done it proud in this video matey
Nighttime, rain, and a big city can make for some great images! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you😊👍
Fantastic images and ideas 👏👏🙌!
Thank you 😉👍
Love your pictures , I like black and white but I think with those images because of all the bright colours I prefer them best 👍🏻😊
Thank you😊👍
You have a keen eye and you explain things well. I'll look forward to more. Thank you.
Thanks, Owen😊👍
Bri, I really enjoyed this video and as usual the best part for me is you sharing your compositional thoughts as you view the streetscape. Vancouver looks to be visually stunning and unlike London, my nearest city, it isn't too crowded.
@@daviddaw999 Glad you enjoyed the video, David, thanks😊👍
I like the color photos where there's colorful light. Black and white is good for plain light.
@@carlmcneill1139 Thank you😉👍
Thank you for teaching how to see and create a composition
You are welcome, thank you for watching😊👍
I think your street photography really stands out and is becoming "Great." Thanks for taking us on your photography journey!
@@DennisBater Cheers, Dennis and thank you for watching.😊👍
Helpful vid. Good ideas. Thanks for putting it out there.
Glad you enjoyed the video.😉👍
Ah, night photography, which in Sweden this time of the year is “any time after 3pm” 😅 I really like the color photos, love that glow!
@@robert_skonblad Thanks, Robert😊👍
Pretty much the same here after 3pm 😆 Good to make the most of it.👍
Thanks to everyone who’s already watched today’s video and gave it a thumbs up, I also appreciate the comments too, always fills me with encouragement to get out and film the next.
I just love these street shots and the way you characterise the city with your photography, especially with the reflections - great. For me both the B&W and colour shots are amazing becuase they have their own purpose
Glad you enjoyed the images, thank you😊👍
You never disappoint Brian 📷👍
Thank you😊👍
Another brilliant video, Bri! Loved both the BW and Colour, but in some instances, BW was the preferred image.
Thank you, Trish😊👍 B&W is also my preferred style most of the time.
Beautiful shots. I’m always envious of you and Matt Irwin. Your cities are lit beautifully and have vibrant centers where you can safely take pictures. My smaller city has a tiny, poorly lit and sketchy center.
@@cmichaelhaugh8517 Thank you😊👍 I do miss the more historic cities from back home in the UK, everything is mostly modern here in Vancouver so has a different feel.
@@BriBarnhamPhotography Great images! Did you do much street photography in the UK? Vancouver is beautiful, but I'd love to see some of you UK work as well.
@ Haven’t done any street photography the times I’ve been back in the UK, but I am planning on being back there once again soon, so you never know😉👍
Color Images or black & white images? Great question that I've heard many times before! In watching this video I think I see the difference.....at least from my perspective! I actually love both but today I realized the beautiful color shots as artistic and the black & white as mysterious! Both are beautiful however each presents a different mood! Great work Bri!
Great to hear😊
Thanks, David👍
I really love your style of shooting street. Setting up the scene and waiting for a subject to enter. I tend to be more reactive in my street photography but watching you and your approach has inspired me to try the more structured approach you take.
@@jeffpotter7958 Always good to hear, glad you feel inspired😊👍
Good work, as usual, Bri.
@@davidskinner274 Thanks, David 😊👍
Great creativity Bri!
Thank you 😊🙏
Bri, fabulous street photography and tour of Vancouver's downtown photo opportunities. Hard to pick but I think my favorite was of the man walking away from the camera in the blue light of the alley. I wonder if you offer one on ones for street shoots?
@@BruceLR57 Hi there, Bruce glad you enjoyed the video/images😉👍
I do offer One to one workshops, head over to my website Bribarnham.com for more details.
Love your street photography Brian. You never fail to come up with an interesting image.Again a very informative vlog.

Glad you enjoyed the video.
I think I like your nature photography the best of all. Those colors in the city are amazing with your camera.
@@kencornwell Thank you😊
Love the colour ones! 7:41
Cheers buddy 👍😉
Colour is much better. 📷😊

@@josephdaigneau430 Thanks for that, Joseph😊👍
Wonderful video… some lovely frames you’ve displayed…
Loved the image of the alley with the neon light with the man crossing.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed that one 😊👍
Always inspiring photography. Your street photography is amazing.
@@trevorsneath4665 Kind of you to say, thanks, Trevor😊👍
Good to see you finding a fresh way to capture Vancouver’s downtown! Personally I like B&W best, but sometimes color really works if it’s intense enough, adds to the story, or there are complementary colors.
@@jongrall Thanks for that, Jon😊👍
What a great video Bri , love your style 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
@@rongallacher8216 Thank you, pleased you enjoyed the video😉👍
@ oh yes , the way you explained the set up on your photos and thoughts behind it 👍. Plus showing your city well done. Both colour and B & W are great photos and show how you can change the subject and the mood of the subject 👍👍👍
@ Thanks again 😊
New subscriber. I like the way you describe your thought process.
@@georgefrench1907 Much appreciated, George😊 Pleased you enjoyed the video👍
Enjoyable video with some good tips…👍⭐️
@@nickshepherd8377 Thank you 😊👍
I don't do a lot of street photography! But during the day I like black and white!!! Night with rain has to be in color!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@@mspates5982 😉👍
superb
@@chriso973 Thanks, Chris 😊👍
Thanks for the video. So inspired to get out. Prefer the bw ones, but all are good. 👍🏼👍🏼
That’s Great, thank you😊👍
So I have a biased toward black and white street photography so those are the images I like the best. The exception being the shot with the metal in the road, that pops in color.
B&W street photography is my preference most of the time, but do photograph colours when it suits the scene. 👍
Amazing video ❤ Was that a 50mm lens?
@@arun.kahaduwaarachchi Thank you😊👍
The lens was the 35mm.
Do you ever go to the north shore for some nature photography that's not all the way on the island?
I have been there doing photography/videos in the past, but not recently as North Shore gets very busy now.
Them bendy buses are horrible. I'm glad we got rid of them from London. I love the images you get around the city.
@@ItsWhatIDo Thank you 😉👍
Because the light throws blue, it has to be colour
@@davidskinner274 The blue light was initially what grabbed my attention😉👍
