Honestly the other actors were probably thinking the same thing they just didn’t want to say anything. As black people we must carry and present ourselves in the best manner possible as we are already looked at in a stereotypical light. And Morgan with all his accomplishments probably knows how hard it was to get in the very room you were in as a black man when he was coming up. so for such disrespect to the craft and lack of professionalism to occur he probably was irate on behalf of those who would kill for the position you had been given.
I was just about to say something of the same sort! I believe you're 100% right! Especially being around all these other prestigious actors Morgan Freeman being black is going to hold his people to a higher standard! As TI said he dodged a bullet? That's not true because the box office numbers don't mean shit when you can work and learn from that caliber of actors! In life we call them phrases "deflection of self"....

What was so painfully disappointing about the whole thing is that T.I. was too arrogant to acknowledge the part he played in his demise. 😕 Instead, he should have thanked Mr. Freeman for teaching him a valuable lesson about professionalism as a Black male coexisting in a "coveted" space. T.I. should definitely right himself with Mr. Freeman if and whenever their paths cross again. I hope that he is contrite and humble in his conversation with Mr. Freeman because after all, he was the one who not only embarrassed himself, but also his fellow Black elder who has worked so hard to get where he is today. Not too many Black men at Freeman's age can hold that top spot, and so when you come off as an unprofessional pompous ass, it reflects negatively on the entire community. FACTS!! He (Morgan Freeman), worked hard through all types of discrimination and closed doors to be a factor of importance and respect amongst peers. So he knew that TI was chosen and he wasn't coming correct. TI would do the EXACT same thing if that was done at a table meeting which he called and was having a business discussion or proposal.
The irony is: "Expeditiously" is one of the words Morgan Freeman's character, Mr. Clark, used to say a lot in Lean On Me. That's its inception in Black culture.

In all honesty, I’ve seen successful Blacks hold those under them to a higher standard because they want to bring more out of them. We talk about how hard it is for us to get opportunities in life so to have one with some greats in that industry and show up drunk is disrespectful regardless of your fame.
