Yes things were hard for us but we gave our kids so much that they cannot understand the struggle. They think the world revolves around them and what they have to say matters. Sorry it doesn’t. What u do matters, not the bumping of ur gums. We need to bring back the old school ways and wisdoms but add a entrepreneurial spin on it. Brought my children from Jersey to Eastside Atlanta. In my opinion it was the best part of their journey to adulthood. It wasn’t always easy, but surrounded by black communities and examples of excellence motivated them to be the successful people they are. When my son was accepted to Morehouse on a full ride scholarship, I cried. Learned much I didn’t know about HBCU legacy. I may be off topic but I had to give props to the ATL
