Thank you, Amy. It's been a rough week. In all my years, I've never cried when I'm in pain, not even as a child, but this weekend broke me. Lynn and I had been casually chatting on Instagram and on the day I was feeling my worst she shared her story. She's been through so much and is unbelievably positive. She was my cheerleader this weekend. I read what she wrote out loud to my husband. Both of us cried. She somehow knew what I needed. She lives in Florida and I'm in Canada. The world really is amazing. Look at the group of women we have here. I'm grateful for all of you. You literally give me purpose and a distraction from pain.
Thank you, Robin. It's not like me to talk about serious topics like this. I kept it in just in case someone may want to know about it. It's heart breaking to see the footage. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

It all lasted very well except the lips. I never thought to use a long-wearig lipstick as blush but it worked. I have to say I like the finish of my skin better with Dior Forever Matte foundation. It stays and my skin looks healthier. If you have a choice, I would choose Dior but I know it's pricey. Actually I like mixing Dior Forever Matte with Dior Forever Glow. I get a mix of both. That's getting very pricey though. What's your skin type? What finish do you tend to like?
Good Morning Julie. I am so sorry that you had such a bad wkend last wk.? Hope you’re doing and feeling better. You don’t seem like your natural bubbly self. Prayers all is well with you. Please, have a good, relaxing, fun filled wkend. Your friend: Karla.
Good morning, Karla! Ugh, it's been a really rough week. I do everything to not have to take strong pain medicine but since last weekend, it hasn't been an option. I never cry with pain but it brought me there last weekend. To film this video, I had to take something. I found someone an hour and a half away from me who uses shockwave therapy. Have you heard of that before? After I took something and had some relief last weekend, I continued my search for answers and I finally found, after all these years, the cause of some of my pain. It's the Pudendal Nerve. It explains all of it. It hurts to stand, to walk, to sit. The only relief I can get without medicine is to lay on my side. Anyway, this pain specialist I saw on Thursday knew exactly what I was talking about. He's blind but he could run his hands along my body and point out every spot that has pain. He was training an ER doctor during my appointment so I was able to hear him teach her. The treatment was awful. Dave could hear me in the waiting room. He told me the treatment would be horribly painful and it would take time but he feels he can help me. God, I hope so. He's the first person who understood where the source of my pain is coming from. He's given. me hope but I'm not looking forward to going back. How are you feeling? What do you do for pain?
@@JulieMeikle oh my heart Julie, with the barametric pressure changing almost on a daily basis, my back pain has been out of control. I too take pain meds, but the pharmacy that I’ve used for yrs continues to go to the trash of the trash pain med, it doesn’t touch my pain, so I go to my specialist Monday, and am switching pharmacy’s. I too cannot stand still for more than a few minutes without crying with the pain. I’ve told you ( I think) that with my spinal cord injury, I’ve had 6 major spinal surgeries. The last was last Feb to remove a large, fast growing tumor on my spinal cord at T 11-10. Now I have a faster growing tumor at T 9. But I’m refusing surgery as I just cannot handle another surgery. That’s crazy Julie, as I too have to lay on my side with heating pad wrapped around my back to get it to ease up. I worked for 4 hrs yesterday, had to leave as I could not hold the tears back from the pain. I cannot sit straight up and or stand still but just a few minutes, and the pain becomes unbearable leaving me with my spine and muscles not able to hold me up. I’m going to research Pudenal Nerve as that sounds like what’s going on other than another Tumor on spinal cord. Iam so so sorry that you’re dealing with this. Would you explain what the Tx. Was, how and what they did? Have you gotten any relief from it thus far? I’ve been on pain meds for yrs. Now on strong pain meds and I hate it. I can go for walks, but by the time I get home, I can’t stand straight up as my spine is so painful. I was scheduled for Nerve blocks, but the specialist my Neurosurgeon recommended me to go to does no longer conscious sedation, and I cannot do them without it, so now having to find a specialist that does them with conscious sedation. They are so painful. Then was to have Nerve Ablation, where they burn the ending of the roots. This procedure really has helped in the past. It’s got me so worn out, but I try to stay as busy as possible only able to do a little bit , lie down with heat and rest for a good 1-2 hrs then get up and do a bit more. I’m a clean freak. lol. The pain has really taken a toll on me as you probably understand. I hope that the Tx, really helps you. Keep me posted sweetie. You never said what happened to cause all your back pain? Maybe you don’t want to, and I understand. I am praying that whatever he did really helps ease your pain. I’m at the point where I’ve accepted the fact that I’m going to be on pain meds the rest of my life. Also, I wear a tens unit sometimes and a softer back brace at times as well. Also I have Rx for 5% lidocaine patches where I wear two every 12 hrs. I truly hate this for you. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and use a heating pad.
Most drugstore foundations I react to so tend to go more organic for my makeup. But the vid helped to be more proficient with what I use and what I should add to the makeup routine.
Hi Julie. You always do lovely looks and its good to see what makeup works on your skin - both higher end and affordable. I also hate the sticky stuff from stickers messing up my packaging and use straight lemon essential oil to get it off. Works very well!🙂 Have a great day. Blessings and love.❤

Hi julie love the whole subtle look u certainly have some very flawless beautiful skin girl. Ive got blue 💙 eyes as well isnt it fun to add browns to make them pop😊 i did a 🌈 cutcrease today. My downfall for today is that last night i washed all my makeup brushes and left them out to dry. Well i had thrm layed out on my makeup desk and what happened next oh boy !! I spilled a whole cup of coffee all over my beautiful clean brushes 😮 so today i spent my morning shampooing my carpet and yes rewashing my makeup brushes 🥢🥢🥢
OMG, that's the worst! Washing our brushes are the least fun part of loving makeup. Holy cow! Did the coffee come out of your white bristles?🤦♀️ Your rainbow cut crease sounds amazing. Do you post photos or videos? I'll have to go take a look. I put the date of your surgery in my calendar, Stacey. I'm sure you must be nervous and excited at the same time. I know it will go well. Big hugs!!!
Yes you have some amazing and beautiful people in your community. 🥰 Don't think about the vacuum, I can't hear it at all. Dident they get a time period to finde other alternatives then palm oil. Great video as always. 🥰 You look beautiful, thank you fore all the good advice. ❤ Big hugs from Denmark 💝🌹🥰
🥰 They must have had time to find alternatives. I'd love to find out the details. I'm not an activist but I'm curious. I mentioned you the other day at my new therapy appointment. My pain guy was training an ER doctor. They were talking about our health care system and how bad it is. I said "My friend from Denmark has wonderful health care. We need to copy Denmark."🤗 It's pretty cool I can say I have a friend from Denmark. Big hugs, Stine!

This is the second video of yours that I have watched and have enjoyed both of them. Where have you been finding elf foundation and the nyx bronzer? Can’t seem to find them here in Canada. I live in Thornhill, Ontario.
Darn, Elise, I answered you back from my phone and for some reason it won't work from there. Sorry. I purchase all my Elf products from the Elf website. Elf Canada - sovrn.co/197jgkh I always have the product links in my description box. Let me know if you need help. Oh, I purchased the NYX Bronzer from Rexall in person but it's on the Shoppers Drug Mart website. bit.ly/3WJotNX
🤦♀️ I should have looked the colours up first. I randomly went into Rexall and they had a display. I want to try my correct colour now. Do you know anyone with darker skin I could give these to? Oh, I'm going to give them to the newer makeup artist I know in Brockville. She needs makeup for her kit. They'll go to waist sitting in my stash. It's sooooo grey today, Jodi. Boo!
@@JulieMeikle You too Julie! It is going to be 80 degrees here today! Although I am not a hot weather girl in the least bit, it feels really nice after a long gray dismal upper Midwest winter! Really enjoyed your video today, you worked it to perfection! I always learn so much from you! I am not always the most patient when my makeup goes wonky! You on the other hand, hang in there and make the best adjustments to bring it back from the brink! I often wish we lived closer because I think we’d be fast friends! I like everything about you, especially your positivity and kindness! If the 2024 election goes off the rails here in the US, I just might be looking to relocate to Canada! Haha! I have never been but everything I have seen in pictures makes Canada high on my bucket list of travel destinations! Blessings & love!🫶🏼
Return policy for cosmetics in Western Australia is really bad and mostly impossible. Loved your video, thank you. I buy budget makeup and skincare as highend items are really expensive here. ❤❤❤
UGH, it's so frustrating, Delana. It would be different if they had testers available for us. I know the prices of cosmetics are worse there than they are here, I think. I used to watch a few creators from Australia. I still would if I had more time. Do you have a store you can shop at that has a reward or points system at least?
Thank you, Katrina.❤️ I can't wait for her to see the comments here. She told me she'll be off for a little bit for the surgery and recovery. I know she'll feel the love. I'm so grateful for everyone. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.🤗
Hi Julie, Did you say that you like Nyx lift and snatch better or the powder pencil? You are beautiful inside and out. I don’t know who Lyn is but I will say a prayer for her. 🙏
Hi Sandi, it's not better. They give different effects. The pen allows you to create individual hair strokes where the pencil is a little thicker and softer. Because of this, it's faster. The Kosas Brow Pop Nano Ultra-Fine Detailing pencil is different. It allows us to create hair stroke too because it's so thin. It also may take a little more time because it's detailed work. In this case I used both I had a soft look but needed the pen to help where I have bare spots. Both are good and it all depends on what mood I'm in and how much time I have to get ready. You can use brow powder if you'd like too. There's not wrong or right way really. What do you use now? Are you having any issues with your brows? I can help you figure it out if you'd like.
@@JulieMeikle You are so very kind, I use ABH brow powder but I’m thinking of getting NYX lift and snatch, I am blonde but have soft brown eyebrows. Lift and snatch only has blonde, I don’t look wasting money because I’m not a returner. I appreciate you but don’t want you to bother, you have your own busy life. I was just trying to support your channel. Thank you

❤️ I'm lucky to have women I want to engage with. Everyone is so nice.
I used to be a Silpada representative years ago. I looked everywhere for the ring and found some on Ebay. I love this ring. My mom has one too.
Here's a link for one option. There are many sizes on there I think. bit.ly/3UKrkDT
NYX bronzer is pigmented!
It is! I want to try my proper colour. I should have looked before I bought them. I didn't intent to shop so I wasn't prepared.
Big hugs!!!
Beautiful Julie, that’s a great foundation. Have you tried the latest McBeauty products? Have a great weekend Hun. Xx
I haven't heard of McBeauty. Where do you find it?
Yes you have some amazing and beautiful people in your community. 🥰
Don't think about the vacuum, I can't hear it at all.
Dident they get a time period to finde other alternatives then palm oil.
Great video as always. 🥰
You look beautiful, thank you fore all the good advice. ❤
Big hugs from Denmark
💝🌹🥰
🥰
They must have had time to find alternatives.

Thank you that is so nice of you too say. 🥰
I'm not sure, but yes what are they doing too not juse palm oil, that is interesting 😀
Yes I wish everyone could have free health care paid over the taxes, we pay too help each other. 😊
Have a great day /night.
Big hugs from Denmark 💝🌹🥰
Prayers and positive juju to Lynn
❤️ Thank you, Anna. She'll be very grateful.
Can you please create eye look with no budge eyeshadow sticks. Thank you
I can. Is there are specific brand you want me to show? I do have a few up here but I love working with eyeshadow sticks so I can do it again.

I always have the product links in my description box. Let me know if you need help.
Oh, I purchased the NYX Bronzer from Rexall in person but it's on the Shoppers Drug Mart website. bit.ly/3WJotNX
❤❤❤❤❤
🤗 Have a wonderful weekend, Cecilia!
Great look....for awhile there I thought you'd be battling that bronzer to even it out, but it blended well.
Boo!
We all do "random" purchases...and yes, drugstore purchases are hard to return.
@@jodilee5725 Awful. I used to work at Shoppers and I would take it back. Too bad. The receipt says 30 days but the store manager always said no.
❤🙏
❤️❤️❤️
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Cali!! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
June 18thy weight loss surgery im so excited wish me luvk please. ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Sending love and prayers
Thank you, Katrina.❤️ I can't wait for her to see the comments here. She told me she'll be off for a little bit for the surgery and recovery. I know she'll feel the love. I'm so grateful for everyone.
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.🤗
Lovely Julie 🇦🇺
Thank you, Sally! xo
Thank you
What is your skin type?
I have normal to dry skin, Trish. What skin type do you have?
My skin has been around for 56 years and is still slightly oily in t-zone and normal elsewhere. I have sensitive skin and eyes and rosacea. Thanks for all your content!
😂😂😂😂😂😂OVER 50 DOES NOT DEFINE MATURE SKIN😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'm sorry but if you aren't religious or a spiritual person, you will never have positive energy or empathy for anyone.
I've known many people who wouldn't say they're spiritual or religious who are kind, loving, empathetic people.
I’m spiritual but a person can be compassionate and have positive energy!!. Life is for learning lessons and over coming trials and tests that in all should make you a better rounded human being. People whom have merely suffered loss or ill health etc can be positive and compassionate! X❤
