Ive had this problem for weeks and couldnt fix it so thank you so much for making this video because you just saved me a lot of money because i was thinking of sending the scooter back to Niu for repairs
My stem came loose and I did exactly what you did on the video with the park tool that you recommended and it's completely fixed the problem, know annoying stem wobble anymore, really pleased, thanks alot for posting this video mate 👍
Thanks bro, it helped a lot. I have a brand new kqi3 MAX and same process but with the inner workings you need a wrench to tighten. For anyone wondering you need a 15/16th size wrench.
Great that it helped you out even with the KQi3 Max and thanks for sharing the wrench size needed for anyone that finds this. Maybe I will be able to test out and produce some videos on the KQi3 as well down the road.
I am now 800km since I tightened it and its still holding solid. No other problems so far and I went through some heavy storms recently but the KQi2 is holding strong.
Unfortunately I don't plan to do a tyre change video, until I really need to change the tyre, since its not the easiest process. If you only have a flat, try to use a tubeless tyre plug kit instead of replacing the whole tyre. Also take a look @ScootLetsGo videos on changing the tyres on the NIU KQi3, the process should be very similar on the KQi2, and he has done a great job with his tyre change videos. Hello, its hard to say what might have caused that issue. Have you tried connecting the charger to see if it wakes up or responds? Or checked the cable inside the stem if it did not come loose (it should not though, if it was fully plugged in during first setup). The best option would be to contact NIU support ( Global-Service@niu.com ) and see what they suggest. NIU has a 2 year warranty on the KQi3 so they should fix it for you, if nothing else helps.
Hi! Do you have photo of of this black hook from folding mechanism? I have problem with it and I think my spring is in wrong place cause its hard to unfold my scooter.
I to have a problem with the black hook it does not go up fully when I pull back the first latch meaning its stuck permanently upright. I see a reddit post about tightening a screw just below the black locking latch but I can't seem to find what they meant. Would love to know if anyone else has a fix for this as I would love to be able to fold my scooter :p
@@Sesal-Snow Maybe these pics help imgur.com/a/iw3m20a on the 4th one you can see a small screw inside the black hook, maybe that is what the reddit post was referring to?
This was a huge help i have managed to fix the issue thanks. As for what I did, I lossened the to hexagonal screws on the first latch slightly and I faced the front wheel against the wall and pushed foward with a little force on the handle bar this allowed the black hook just enough room so that I could push it off with a little force again. I then tightened the black hook slightly once the scooter was folded. Hope this helps others.
My friend has this scooter and same thing happend. The screw in the middle of the stem fell out and she almost got really hurt. Im looking to find a replacement one to help her any idea the size or type?
By "screw in the middle" do you mean the big notched ring here ruclips.net/video/_Kl3aASwDZ8/видео.html if so, no sure where you can get that, probably only from NIU as a spare part.
@@Lantea13yes, I’m in dire need of these two screws as well and I can’t get NIU to understand what I’m looking to buy! Please have this answer so I can get some!
I bought the Park Tool SPA-2 from a local bike shop, you can also get it on amazon, but just keep in mind its not designed for this, but it still works and gets the job done.
@@Lantea13 Thank you for your reply, so it's called a Park tool? Where would you get the proper tool from seeing as the one your using isn't quite rite for the job?
@@superdooper9200 Its called "Park Tool SPA-2" Not sure where to get the exact tool designed for this fastener. Another commenter mentioned its called a 'nut spanner' but when I asked NIU support they were not able to give me information on the exact tool they use at their service centers.
More elegant that the repair guy who suggested using a hammer and metal rod to rotate the nut

I just bought a Kqui2, lots of fun. I enjoy your channel and thanks for the stem wobble tip. I do no need to fix it yet, but it's nice to know!

I had the same issue and I tried to fasten all bolts instead of loosening them initially. Thanks! It also started to become visible at around 500km.

In my KQI2, the problem occurred after 1000 km. I used Seger pliers as tools.
Do you know how to align the steering wheel with wheel? I can’t access the 2 bolts on the stem as the battery is in the way.
Are you referring to the NIU KQi2 Pro scooter or a different scooter model? On the KQi2 the battery should not be in the way.
plz make videos for niu ki3 pro
If I get a chance to test out the NIU KQi3 Pro or KQi3 Max I will definitely make videos on it. :)
Could you please do a tutorial on how to change the front and rear tire please

@Lantea13 no I figured it out the screw snapped need to drill it out
It was the screw that sits behind the latch on the stem above what your talking about
How do you replace front fork
This diagram might help www.scooterworks.com/pages/kqi2-pro-fork-and-front-wheel?id=266
After searching the tool seems to be called a nut spanner
where can i get that tool
Amazon or a decent bicycle shop should have it.
What type and size is the screw ?
