Mithrax: It is as though I am seeing a sculpture, and the artist's intent shines through. I will attempt to interpret. Pinpricks of Light, thousands upon thousands, all falling at once. Each is a Ghost. They are pieces of their maker, each wreathed with hope against hopelessness. Constellations of sacrifice. But when one passes, a part returns to the whole.
Micah-10: Ghosts return to the Traveler when they fall.
Mithrax: As do all those who are of the Light. In the end, we are all made complete.

I wonder if that means the Light or the Pale Heart really is an afterlife for every species, so long as they have some Light in them. Maybe Zavala will get to reunite with his family if or when it's his time.

Zavala has said, and feared that his family might not be in that afterlife. That if he dies, he doesn’t want to be with the traveler. He wants to be with his family, who he believes wouldn’t be waiting for him there. Because they never held the light.

Cayde wasn't in the peal heart, when he died. Crows wish made him appear there. So the afterlife and the peal heart are separat things, but both are in the traveler.

The Qugu could connect with the memories of their ancestors through the Darkness, so there is something to the Darkness as well that might resemble an afterlife. Or it could be the same place, but the connection to it is different between Light and Dark.
