BO2: Tons of reused sounds, and reloads sound tinny. BO4: Everything just sounds uninspired and muffled. Same audio director for both games. I think they need a new person in charge.
Black ops 2 had some of the best sounds out of all the games. Even though some sounds were reused in some of the reloads, the guns sounded powerful and each one had character. You could tell exactly what gun someone was using from the sound. The Black ops series had a serious downgrade in sound design after black ops 2.
Black ops 3’s vmp is probably the worst gun sound in all of that game, sounding like a piece of paper hitting a ceiling fan lol I never liked the sound. Bo3 still had decent sounds, bo4 was just too much bass and hard to differentiate from weapons if you were in a match I feel like. BO4 was a good COD overall, I really liked the manual healing. 150 health was interesting, created a skill gap and made aiming a lot more important. Casuals did struggle a lot. Gunplay in BO4 was very satisfying, Maddox was such skillful gun , only the best players could dominate with that.

Bo4 is so fucking shit. Thank god I didn’t buy it. Looking back at this Bo2 almost looks better graphically. And these games are 6 years apart. I only bought bo3 because the multiplayer was fun and the zombies was phenomenal. But bo4 was worse than shit. At least modern warfare 2019 is a good game, but it doesn’t compete with Bo2 fun wise.
