  • Your first look at the DCPA Theatre Company's groundbreaking The 75th Anniversary production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved musical 'Oklahoma!' set in a historically accurate African American town in 1906. Directed by Chris Coleman in his Denver debut and choreographed by Dominique Kelley, this production showcases an overlooked piece of American history as one small community stakes its claim on a place that is full of hope.     With a spring in their step and a song in their hearts, cowboys and farmers alike have chased their destinies to a land that promises love, opportunity and a brighter future. This joyful production is set in an all-African American town in the early days of the Oklahoma Territory.

    I am OBSESSED! Such a beautiful array for a piece that I have often bemoaned going to the latest highschool production, but seeing such an incredible primarily Af-Am company just made me smile! Bravo!

    This was magnificent! Every cast member was excellent. I could have seen it twice...my Bestie did! The singing and dancing was some of the best I’ve seen! If you have the opportunity to see this Play...Just Do It! The last Matinee in Denver was sold out!
