Did not know Hugh had such a good singing voice. When was this movie/production done? Never heard of it. I have a soft spot for Oklahoma, as it was my senior class play.
Starring then-newcomer Hugh Jackman (Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman) as Curly, alongside Maureen Lipman, Josefina Gabrielle and Shuler Hensley, this riveting stage production was filmed during its record-breaking 1998 run in London.
Thank you everyone for your replies. I learned a lot and will be looking for more Hugh Jackman videos. I know he’s had quite the movie career, but his singing pleasantly surprised me. An all rounded individual for sure. Thanks again!
Well, he’s no Gordon MacRae when he sings. He just doesn’t have a very robust masculine sound. MacRae was perfect in looks, sound and acting. Hugh, stick to Wolfman or whatever the character is called. AND DON’T SING!!
Hugh Jackman is an amazing talent - marvelous singer, dancer and actor. He does it all.
A great musical
That was a treat. Thank you.
