The bit about Lucifer’s punishment and his destiny as the third person of the Trinity , followed by the sentence ‘Dieu ne trompe personne, pas même le diable’ (God doesn’t trick anyone , not even the devil), is an excerpt from ‘Un Prophète Luciférien: Leon Bloy’ by Raymond Barbeau. Leon Bloy was a Catholic Theologian of Jewish origins (who happens to be a big influence on the current pope) , he’s the author of Le Salut par le Juifs (Salvation through the Jews) , a document that highly influenced the bishops behind the Nostra Aetate deceleration of the second Vatican council (considered by many traditionalists as the moment where the smoke of Satan infiltrated the church). Nostra Aetate is responsible for the change of the then traditional established view of the church on Jews as Christ killers, according to their own words from Matthew 27:25. Now you talk about the Aboyeurs de Dieu or barkers of God, it’s a reference to one of André Breton’s works(A la niche, les aboyeurs de Dieu). In this context, barkers or ‘aboyeurs’ in French is a reference to the people who used to stand at the doors of theaters, screaming, trying to attract an audience and to promote the play. The rest of the lyrics are mostly influenced by the poems of the great Charles Baudelaire, ‘Femmes Damnées’ and ‘Elévation’.
Edit: Beatification is the church acknowledging that the dead person in question is in heaven (part of the church triumphant, the beatific vision) it’s nothing but a first step towards canonization and sainthood.

    Lyrics:
…The depths of abjection, a throne of manure
But even during the ecstasies of beatification
It is by no means possible to separate them
The den of serpents, the knot of vipers corruption-bred
And the blazing spirit of the mystic heaven above
    Angel browed with brass
Wreathed by a halo, sublime and infinite
    Tunneled by vermin
    …Feverish miasmas and a silent canticle…
    Implemini Spiritu Sancto
The scorching heat of the furnace inside galvanizes
A grapevine whose roots sink deep, far into the arteries
In contemplation the Lord of harvests long gone
Shall murmur obscene wonders to those who ate the grape
    Desperately feeding the empty void
Growing on innocent blood, the stronger and the greater
In ruthless rigour, in funeral glee
    Implemini Spiritu Sancto
The foam of nausea slowly rising to the teeth
Yes! Truly adorned with the grim regalia of perdition
I shall hold high a bowl of gems of unseen radiance
Enveloping spirit and will in seraphic rapture
O deformity, hear the weeping prayers
Arise from rot, be my child! Be my promise!
The nebulae in the superior sky howled like a starving hound
Aboyeurs de Dieu ! Aboyeurs de Dieu !

Now the only part of the trilogy you're missing out on is FAS, if you're interested in exploring their deepest and most esoteric lyrics yet.
I would recommend The Shrine Of Mad Laughter or Chore For The Lost for the most musically interesting entries from that album.
In my opinion, it's the greatest record of all time. For reference, it is essentially a retelling of the book "Inner Experience" by French surrealist philosopher Georges Bataille. Most of the album contains direct/restructured quotes from that book and Batailles' other work "My Mother", and it details a descent into the darkness of man's own soul by his own devices, and through his wavering faith in God.

I'm glad I have you guys to research their lyrics for me as I have absolutely no idea what they mean whatsoever haha. • @ElonMuskIsSerbian

I love hearing your interpretations on their lyrics, but how would you feel listening to something from Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum? Without a doubt it's their most difficult work and it doesn't have nearly as many direct (or even indirect) Christian references as Si Monumentum Requires Circumspice, Kenose or Paracletus. I'd have difficulty even here, trying to choose a specific song from the album, maybe The Repellent Scars of Abandon and Election or A Chore for The Lost.

The whole point of this genre is to feel uneasy from the dissonance. It's a constant uphill battle of overcoming a psyche that is of despair because of our cruel world. Deathspell Omega has done that for me, because of the fact that its a type of music that, at least for me, was easy to get into, but got me more into it because of the unconventional uses to achieve a great sound. I am glad to discover this Gem of a video and glad to see more people, especially people of the Christian faith, exploring these forms of music. From a Christian the bible says no man is good and that we all deserve hell. Everyone of us are sinners. By the good grace and mercy of God he offers heaven as a free gift. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he took our sins upon his sinless body and took our punishment. The bible says the wages of sin is death. We all have to die but God's free gift to us is eternal life if we repent of our sins and trust in Jesus even though we don't deserve it. That's is how merciful our God is. I'm not trying to preach but making sure you know that it's not an empty promise; it's not a promise at all. It's a gift to us for those who worship him.

@@hazardousjazzgasm129 Colored Sands is such deep album, the conviction on songs like ''Forgotten Arrows'' literally makes me emotional. It's powerful stuff, especially the heavy as fuck part in the middle and end, just earth shattering. the music is pummeling and Lemay's lyrics are extremely evocative, telling the tale of how the Tibetans were trying to find peace somehow while literally facing invasion and slaughter. ''Peace won't be obtained, as veils of ignorance, hatred retains'' ''Strained, bowed in causality, the string of pain, sadness remains''

Loved Si Momentum way back, then somehow forgot about these guys. Recently realized they have put out a bunch of albums. Gotta say they are probably the best extreme psychotic band ever and i've been into extreme and heavy metal since nearly it's inception. The Furnaces of Palingenesia is beyond words, a masterpiece in my book. The twisted riffs and sound of it is something i could only have hoped to achieve as a musician. When i first heard Voi Vod in the early 80's, i said that i wanted to take that idea of dissonance and weirdness to a more extreme level. I credit Voi Vod for breaking the mould in metal that it morphed and morphed eventually into bands like this, even if not directly related it is in a massive way because of Voi Vod imo.

Please don't quote Peterson while talking about postmodernism - Jordan Peterson does not know anything about this subject - his analysis' have been debunked many times. He doesn't understand many of the postmodern philosophers and he even mix them up with Marxists (you cannot be a Marxist and a postmodernist at the same time). If you wanna know what Peterson gets wrong, look up the "Cuck Philosophy" channel and check out the in-depth critique of Peterson's takes on postmodernism.
