Bought a 2nd hand Chris King rear hub nice pick up I couldn't be happier with its performance. I don't have an industry 9 so I cant tell the difference. If ever I have to choose, I'd go with more experience, Chris King since 1976, Industry 9 since 2004.
I really agree with you sir, unfortunately when my i bought my i9 on my second bike, there’s no available CK that time all out of stock. Thanks for visiting sir👌🏻
I'll take Chris King all day; durability is key. Built my bikes 3 years ago with Chris King on one and Onyx Vespyr on the other. They haven't had service yet and are still running strong
@@bmxriderforlife1234 yeah, I heard of them too. But they're still running strong and haven't service it yet. I love them for their engagement and zero-drag when coasting; picks up a lot of speed
@Cliff's Angels Photography sick glad they're working for you, given the price though and my preferences for clicking hubs I'm pretty sure I'd just go Chris king or something else similar with a better reliability rep unless it's a race bike. I tend to murder rear hubs though so hence my precaution.
I ride a Chris King and i love it but i really have to say everytime i hear a Industry nine (especially the hydra) - it's also ultra nice sound and i would love to ride also a industry nine it's a little bit faster than the chris king and... yeah but mabe it's also a little bit of crazyness when you worh your whole lifetime on bikes in a store where everybody rides enduro, freeride or DH
@@mattb.8750 yes sir, I strongly agree with you, but when im buying parts of my bike, all CK was sold out and out of stock, that’s why I decided to buy i9… but in terms of durability i will prefer CK 100%. Thanks for visiting and comment sir🤙🏻

I'm not sure if it's a factory defect or it was designed that way but my old hydras had the same issue. It always had a decent amount of drag. I remember when I take out preload on my BB it would be enough to turn the crank while coasting.
Chris King has the best bearings in the game. This is a long time known fact. They're gonna roll better then any stock I9 hub which is known for having not the best bearings. Heard the I9s do better with aftermarket bearings from other suppliers. And tbh until a king is like at least a year or 2 old it's bearings aren't even usually fully broken in yet. Given 8 year old king hub it's likely fully broken in and still running perfect vs the I9 even new you can mangle the bearings inside a season. It's also why king headsets used to be the standard. If you had money to drop on a headset you got a king. Best bearings best seals and almost as strong as much heavier headsets with oversized bearings and thicker bearing cups and unless you murk headsets they almost always lasted longer and remained smoother. That said king hubs do slowly eat themselves apart unlike some other designs.
What kind of rider he/she is? First of all ride safe always, 2nd must wear protective gear, third respect everyone on the road or mountain biking, 4th obey traffic rules, 5th check always your bike before you go out. Yan muna pro madami pa. 🙏🏻😊🚵♀️🤟🏼 thanks for visiting po
Wow.. see your bike rocking from tire balance being off? Next time hand it before you set it and look for heavy spot then turn until it’s opposite of the valve.
@@RDL.Channel it works. Just got a 2018 Santa Cruz V10CC from eBay. Doesn’t shake like this when I spin rear wheel as fast as I can with crank in hand. As stable as when it’s not spinning at all. That effects the ride as you fly down the hill.
