What’s your biggest goal for 2025? 💫And how are you going to achieve that? 👋🏼😍 I'm aiming for 100k subscribers this year, it is going to MY year, ha ha! 😁🎉🎉🎉
My goal is to keep working on my health (I’ve got long term issues) and to practice mindfulness in my days more. Less social media more outside time. ❤ Just getting over Covid after surgery it’s all about routines and baby steps. My life has so drastically changed since following our sweet kind Diane for two years. The routines work! From someone with lupus and adhd ..keep at it and celebrate your small victories 🎉❤
I am still up in the air on my word. I want to build physical strength (muscle), but I don't want to call in that which requires mental strength 😂. The word Harmony seems to keep popping up. Hummm Hummmm. (Oh, by the way, I couldn't see a box to make a new comment. I could only reply to a comment...hummmm).
Simplify, for me, too. It's helping me get unstuck with wardrobe decisions and decluttering in general. I'm 80 for heaven's sake. I don't need all this stuff, and no one wants to clear it out when I'm gone. It also helped me earlier today detangling myself from a dark cold evening invite I didn't want to go to; a daytime solution was found, because I had the courage to be true to myself. Your comment on not "trying to find the perfect home" for the treasures we pass on really helps. It's so hard! But -- what's the simplest solution, that's the answer. Thank you Diane ❤
I’m trying not to set traditional resolutions or big goals beyond “Be unapologetically yourself” (meticulous, musical, giggly, geeky, systematic, proactive (except when I’ve been ill for what feels like forever)). I’ve had a big shift in mindset ready for 2025 because I read an annual horoscope (I don’t really believe in that type of thing but this stuck) that said my word for the year is “abundance” & I need to say “yes” to more things. I’ve been watching old Space Maker videos here on RUclips & I’ve adapted your FlyLady routines so every day has a timed maintenance task, plus a timed “power” declutter period (15-30mins; an hour, anything else is a bonus - this is the bit I got from Space Maker) where I focus on one small pile from my bedroom at a time. I’m implementing a lot of routines and smaller systems that will help improve multiple aspects of life, reminding myself how much happier they will all make me feel. So I’m taking “abundance” and connecting it with “contentment” and “progress” or “baby steps”. Sorry none of those is a verb.
I think my word for the year is going to be "clean." (Not spotless or perfect, but clean) Relates to environment, home, diet, language, boundaries, relationships, work documentation, almost anything.
My word this year is "Change." My hubby died in 2023 and I have to go on, but I must make changes in everything from my lifestyle to letting go of items here (but not memories). I'm being positive and have so much support from family and friends. I'm blessed!
Last year my word was ‘begin.’ This year I’m going for ‘consistent.’ I’m not going to set new goals I’m just going to work towards them consistently, little by little, each day.
My word is “redeeming the time.” I have a tremendous amount to do before finishing my graduate degree plus a certification so I can graduate in May. Please pray for me! 🥰
You should be proud of your achievements. You have so encouraged so many people to improve their lives through your videos and your enthusiasm. I am sure we all feel so glad we found you. You really are an inspiration to us all. You have really altered my attitude to "housework" from when I was a full time worker in the NHS bringing up my daughter on my own to now that I am retired. My home is always "visitor ready" and I feel so much calmer in my life. A thousand thanks for your guidance through the years.
Great idea, Diane! My word is "Rest", from Psalm 37:4a. It reads Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him... this tells me not to panic, not to take on too much and let Him work it out. Thank you!
You are right to be proud Diane you’re the best! You help us all so much and all without endorsements, ads, etc. My word is also Simplify this year as I’m hoping to downsize to a smaller house and I’ve been getting rid of lots of stuff with the help of your decluttering videos. I’ve also cut down on my social life as I was always rushing around and I’ve taken a leaf out of your book and learned how to say no! Now I’m only doing things I truly want to do. Thank you Diane x
My word is “START”! Overthinking and anticipation tends to cause anxiety and procrastination. I have learned from you and many other wise ones in my life that if you just start, even when you don’t feel like it, chances are you will keep rolling! Thanks Diane!!🎉
Gratitude. I want to appreciate what I already have now and not take it for granted because I'll be sad when it's gone. And maybe joyful action. I'll try and take some positive action everyday.
I am working with COMFORT this year. Not the sit around in sweatpants kind, the healthy deeply caring kind. It includes self care, creating a healthy welcoming home, decluttering and uncovering how to make a life I don't want to run away from.
My word for this year is HEAL. I had 2 surgeries in 2024, and in October 2024 I had a bad fall, resulting in another surgery, which will take months of physical therapy and time to heal. I was already feeling like I had "fallen behind". Now I'm having to deal with facing the idea that there are going to be times that I truly can't do anything! but I am going to focus on healing- physical, emotional, and even some relationships.
I’ve chosen, MOVEMENT as my word of the year. As in getting up and doing 5 minute declutter, pick up or clean at the top of the hour, moving my body more to improve health, and moving my body more in play this year. Go me!! 😁❤️
My words for the year are Small-Bietjie. Doing things one step at a time, little at a time to reach my goals. As always, progress not perfection. Just love your channel. It's just inspiring.
I’m thinking “joyful” for my word this year. Not an action but a feeling word. I get very bogged down in work and I let it consume me so I want to find more ways to feel joyful this year.
Mine for this year is “play”. Last year, it was “heal”. I’ve spent many years refining my routines and understanding how to get things done, many thanks to you, Diane. This is the year I have to regain my joy and sense of play. I’m very excited for it! Even my ukulele teacher said to me, don’t call it practice, call it playing!
"Planning" is my word for 2025. Planning to expand in little, fun, easy ways in various areas: sewing, savings, decluttering, and whatever else comes up.
FORWARD! It has been Ruthless, then Ruthlessly Simplify. I am still in de-cluttering mode. I also find it is easy for me to "get stuck" and, consequently, freeze/ not accomplish much (there are times when that is alright). Another YTer I follow has a saying "Screw it, get up and DO IT!" which has spurred me on. inconsistency has been difficult as well - FORWARD! - just seems like the right word to spur me on just now. Thank you for all you do - you are knocking on the 100,000 door!!!!
Honesty with myself and others❤️. What do I like? What do I want? What matters to me? Being honest with these questions and finding authenticity in my whole life☺️
As you were talking I thought I want to keep using the word simplify for myself With it in my head I found it last year it helped me declutter and organise things around me I am 74 so career/business etc is not something of interest to me, but having things more simple and easy to complete is topmost in my head.
Needing balance so my word is Wellness-physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, spiritual. Checking off doing something each week in each category. Daily if I can.
Oh Diane you are so amazing. ❤ Your word is just perfect for you and you have really embraced it! You go girl!!! My word is change because things are changing this year moving forward and I need to change a bit too, not too much but a bit! And that’s ok. Keep up the good work!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤
Release. Release clutter, perfection, guilt, holding grudges, breath, tension. Before or during a task think if something can be released. That could even extend to a bad habit - release and think of a way to do it. 0:14
I am going to go for simplify too Diane and work alongside you! You always give such great advice for a procrastinator like me - your line about it not having to be the perfect word made me laugh as that’s exactly what I’d been waiting on! 😂😂 Love your progress not perfection attitude - keeps us all grounded! Thank you for taking the time to make & post your videos! So inspirational and relatable. Wishing you the best for 2025 and hope we are all celebrating 100K followers this time next year! 🎉
I chose my word for this year right after Christmas. It is BALANCE!! You hit on it! I really need more balance in my life and I used the letters in the word as an acrostic, and chose a word in different areas of my life that highlight balance. Thank you, Diane!
Dear Diane, yes, you should be so proud of what you do here on RUclips. Your channel is positive, uplifting and fun, not to mention always encouraging. I have learned so much from you and I shall be forever grateful. My word which will help me care for my body and my mind will be NOURISH. Wish me luck, I hope I can keep the positivity going. ❤
My word for this year is Focus. Last year it was "simplify" and I had a mindset shift as well. So, this year I want to focus on the things that I truly want to accomplish and the things I feel led to be involved in. Instead of trying to do it all, I'll make intentional steps to reach the best me in 2025.
"Simplify " continues to be my mantra too...and "Let It Go". Thank you, Diane, for your inspiring routines coaching, my life continues to be less stressful, by days more calm, and my mental well being has improved because of it. Your videos are sooo appreciated!
Loved your song reference -- and your Word for the Year was the same as mine last year, and it'll continue to encourage my new one this year, which is "Cultivate," which delights my heart! 💞 Rah - rah - rah!! 🎉 Bless you for your encouragement and kindness in being a cheerleader for me and so many others. I look forward to each new video.
I chose "consistency" and like how often you use it in your videos. Hoping it goes better than last year's word, "health", which heralded a year of multiple issues! (On the bright side it made me much more conscious of what I eat and how I move.)
Fluorescence as in bloom, a state or time of great activity, thriving or achievement. With lots of big life events this year, only accepting good things. Diane, you have helped me make progress on clearing the clutter to make room for new opportunities! Thank you!
I think my word will be steady. Be steadier with health (including movement daily, follow my eating plan) business and household. We’ll see how it goes.
My word is 'consistancy' in my housekeeping, my exercise routines. I walk 4 times a week and swim twice a week. I'm hoping to keep that consistent, also push the swimming up to three times a week.
My word of the year is Slow and Steady. It builds on your idea about daily routines and progress not perfection. I have felt your Simplify and Thrive energy over the past year (and Yay! Another year of it) and I have had an awakening of what I like/keep/get rid of and it has benefited me so much over this past year. I am in a different season of life than you but it is helping me to enjoy where I am right now!
Connect is my word for the year. Spiritually first of all, I would use the word engage but I’m tired of that word. A word of encouragement for you, Diane. I chose you today because you are not AI. AI did not write your show or read it for you. Because you are personal and real, people will appreciate you more and more. I am sure of this.
At the end of December I decided on Simplify and stress less. As I was listening to your video, “support” came to me. Instead of “stress less” (because what does that look like?) I think “support” is a better word. Does this support me now in this phase of my life? Whether it’s an activity or a thing. As far as relationships…is this a supportive relationship? How can I support my kids and my husband to reach their goals? What would be supportive to my family and friends in what they are going through? Tku! You have helped me so much to narrow it down!
I’ve already chosen kindness as my word for 2025. If I’m kinder to myself I’ll be better placed to be kinder to others. Kindness might be self-care but it might also be kinder to get off my bahookie and get things done for a period of time to prevent last minute panics later! 💐
Happy New Year, dear Diane. My word of the year is “keep moving”. I got a brand new timer and today my squish-squish- mop arrived. I’ve already done the kitchen and the bathroom 😀. I know that the tools don’t do it for me, I have to get up and move. And that applies to every other aspect of my life. Thank you for all your inspiration!!!
I'm going with consistency this year. Through December and the first of January we've been doing better about keeping things picked up...pupas are becoming more automatic. Also I've been working in advance on projects rather than waiting till thr last minute and then being stressed out. I hope to carry these good habits forward 🤞🙂
The word nourish resonated with me. I’ve started off 2025 sick and have several health issues.. so I want to nourish my body and mind this year. Thanks Dianne for such enthusiasm and encouragement. Have a wonderful year. 💕
Hi Diane! It made me happy to hear you say you were proud of yourself, and rightly so! My 2025 goal is to be more present - last year I made great progress simplifying my home and it has made a huge difference. This year I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor more! Thanks so much for your helpful videos😊
My words are balance and grow - ballance for my mental health and grow for the new things that will come towards to me at my work. Thank you Diane for beeing with us through the years as our guiding light.😊
My health issues this past year has made me want to get my house in order, physically as well as legally. I have thought about this for several years now. So now is the time to do this. I am not sure what word to use for this.
Thank you Diane. Just back from the trip to the UK, and ready to start thinking of a word (THANK you for saying it doesn't have to be the perfect word immediately). Best wishes, Anne
Gracias Diane por tus vídeos , son muy motivadores. Deseo de todo corazón que consigas tu meta . Haces un buen trabajo y además con mucha simpatía. Saludos desde España ❤
I believe that you should achieve 100 000 subscribers long time ago considering how much you do for us for free. I wish you that all your gaols I’ll happen this year. Happy New Year to us all.
'support' springs to mind. Supporting my teens with A levels and GCSE exams. 🎉❤ And we I just signed up for a 10k with my son, after a year blighted by plantar fasciitis, and I am feeling hopeful to walk/run it so supportive shoes 😂 🎉❤ rah rah rah
I am proud of you too 😊 you are doing great things for us. Thank you! ❤ My word is VALUABLE ❤I am valuable, are the things I own valuable for me and my life, do the things that I want to buy bring more value to my life/for me.... maybe I did not explain it very good 😅 but this is my word for 2025 😊 will note it in my flylady journal as a reminder🎉
I dont typically do a word of the year but there have been a few that have been coming up frequently in my conversations and reading etc.. so I decided I'm picking something that encapsulates the sentiment: "Do Less". Im constantly on the go, busy, say yes to everyone and everything. Dragging my poor toddler along with me, constantly griping at him to hurry up because I've not left any margin between things. 😢 It's not fair to either of us! So now anytime something comes up i think "do less" and i can easily say no more often than yes! 🎉
Yes! My children are all adults now but I look back and see that I did too much-they did too much. So, whenever I have the opportunity, I advise young mothers to slow down and enjoy the journey. ❤
We are getting snowed in again, 5 more inches so I spend the day cleaning up and decluttering my expired medications/vitamins... Not going to by any more special type vitamins, I just don't use them. Went through my large bathroom closet and a cupboard in my bedroom as well. Ended up with a large garbage back of items to get rid of. Go me! My WORD for 2025 is Vitality! I had this word picked before you even mentioned it. LOL. I'm working on my health and being able to remain vital as I'm aging in all areas of my life.
I wasn’t really going to do a word for myself because what was jumping out at me was a focus word in my faith: worthy (focusing on how Jesus is worthy to save, worthy as God the Son, etc). BUT…as I was listening to you, I thought of what I really want from this year, and that is to savor (savour, to you!). I get so distracted, even when I try to set up an atmosphere of hygge, and I want to make the mental space to savor the things that make life feel special. What do you think of that one?
Congrats on 95K!🎉 so close to your goal. You should be very proud of your achievement as you have stayed true to you throughout the many many videos you so kindly share ❤
As silly as it sounds, my word is fun! I have had 3 babies in 4 years and I just want to lighten up. I'm always the orchestrator of the fun, but never a partaker (my husband is), so I want to be more fun 😄 I have always struggled with depression and anxiety since I was little, so it doesn't come naturally. But, happy to report my goal has been going well so far haha lots of family antics have been afoot.
Just getting over Covid after surgery it’s all about routines and baby steps. My life has so drastically changed since following our sweet kind Diane for two years. The routines work! From someone with lupus and adhd ..keep at it and celebrate your small victories 🎉❤
@@mom-v3e I'm so glad that things are moving forward for you - rah, rah, rah!
My word is Prayerful. I often put all the stress on myself and forget that God is there and ultimately the one in control.
My word this year is "Change." My hubby died in 2023 and I have to go on, but I must make changes in everything from my lifestyle to letting go of items here (but not memories). I'm being positive and have so much support from family and friends. I'm blessed!
All the best for you ❤ 😊
I'm so sorry ❤ You've chosen the perfect word 😍
Last year my word was ‘begin.’ This year I’m going for ‘consistent.’ I’m not going to set new goals I’m just going to work towards them consistently, little by little, each day.
I chose Yohaku, it's Japanese for " Empty space ! " or " beauty in the blank space " - I love it :)
Great idea, Diane! My word is "Rest", from Psalm 37:4a. It reads Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him... this tells me not to panic, not to take on too much and let Him work it out. Thank you!
My word of the year is hygge. I'm in Australia but I like the idea of a cozy home where I feel safe and loved.
You are right to be proud Diane you’re the best! You help us all so much and all without endorsements, ads, etc. My word is also Simplify this year as I’m hoping to downsize to a smaller house and I’ve been getting rid of lots of stuff with the help of your decluttering videos.
My word is reduce: clutter, weight, senseless spending.
Simplify and Nourish are my words for this year
I am working with COMFORT this year. Not the sit around in sweatpants kind, the healthy deeply caring kind. It includes self care, creating a healthy welcoming home, decluttering and uncovering how to make a life I don't want to run away from.

That is a great tip! ❤
Be present. I want to focus my attention on what's happening now instead of letting my mind jump ahead and missing out on the joy. Thank you, Diane.
I too will be keeping my word from last year. My favourite word....Tranquil.

FORWARD! It has been Ruthless, then Ruthlessly Simplify. I am still in de-cluttering mode. Release. Release clutter, perfection, guilt, holding grudges, breath, tension. Before or during a task think if something can be released. That could even extend to a bad habit - release and think of a way to do it. 0:14
I like simplify as my word. It's working for me. Good luck getting to 100,000. Almost there! Who hoo!
Gratitude is my word of the year
I am going to go for simplify too Diane and work alongside you!
You always give such great advice for a procrastinator like me - your line about it not having to be the perfect word made me laugh as that’s exactly what I’d been waiting on! 😂😂
Love your progress not perfection attitude - keeps us all grounded!
Thank you for taking the time to make & post your videos! So inspirational and relatable. Wishing you the best for 2025 and hope we are all celebrating 100K followers this time next year! 🎉
👏👏👏🤩
I chose my word for this year right after Christmas. It is BALANCE!! You hit on it!
I really need more balance in my life and I used the letters in the word as an acrostic, and chose a word in different areas of my life that highlight balance.
Thank you, Diane!
My word is going to be achieve because it takes action
Thank you Diane
My word of the year is Nurture - my body, my mind, my home, my garden, my family and my friends.
My word(s) for 2025 are strength and light 💛
Consistency is my word
Wonderful, Sherrie! I have also had "consistency" in the past!
Enjoy. 💖
Grow and achieve. I'm in the middle of a career change.❤
🎉 my words are "present and nourish"🎉
"Simplify " continues to be my mantra too...and "Let It Go". Thank you, Diane, for your inspiring routines coaching, my life continues to be less stressful, by days more calm, and my mental well being has improved because of it. Your videos are sooo appreciated!
Great choice, WestCountyGirl - even if I say it myself, ha ha! And THANK YOU for the kind words!
I love the word nourish, in my mental space, and my health
Congratulations!! Well done. Mine is Selfcare for the second year in a row. There's a lot to do. 😍xx
My word for the year is Transformation. Body mind spirit and home.
I love this. My word is simplify and nourish! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I chose "consistency" and like how often you use it in your videos. Hoping it goes better than last year's word, "health", which heralded a year of multiple issues! (On the bright side it made me much more conscious of what I eat and how I move.)
Yes, I have also used "consistency"! And, yes, one of my most used words in my videos, as you point out, Shenach! LOL!
Fluorescence as in bloom, a state or time of great activity, thriving or achievement. With lots of big life events this year, only accepting good things. Diane, you have helped me make progress on clearing the clutter to make room for new opportunities! Thank you!
Love it, Amanda!
I think my word will be steady. Be steadier with health (including movement daily, follow my eating plan) business and household. We’ll see how it goes.

Aww, THANK YOU for that, S Nav! 🙏🏼😊
Yay, how fun, Elizabeth! I will tell my friend Bettina!
Glad to be here with you in 2025!
And always glad to see your comments pop up in my feed, Emily! Rah, rah, rah!
I'm back. FLOW really resonated with me. Thank you! Thanks for being here
I'm going with consistency this year.
You too, Netty-Jane!
❤ Happy New Year Diane, thank you for your sharing and inspiration. My word is Restoration ❤
Happy New Year to you too ❤
Simplify and achieve for me. ❤
Nourish! As soon as you said that word I knew that would be my word for 2025. I Always enjoy your videos, Diane. 🙂
Yes! 👏🤩 And thank you!
mindfulness us my word for the year 2025
I love simplify and thrive. Best wishes to you Diane, on your road to 100k!
Thank you! You too, Laura!
Thank you Diane
I needed this reminder
God bless you always ❤❤
@@katiebellejohnson2688 thank you!
I think I’m going for “Transforming”. I want it to be a year of change - body, mind and home.
My word is strength and dignity
I wasn’t really going to do a word for myself because what was jumping out at me was a focus word in my faith: worthy (focusing on how Jesus is worthy to save, worthy as God the Son, etc). BUT…as I was listening to you, I thought of what I really want from this year, and that is to savor (savour, to you!). I get so distracted, even when I try to set up an atmosphere of hygge, and I want to make the mental space to savor the things that make life feel special. What do you think of that one?
Rejuvenate is mine!
Nice choice! 💪
Heath and kindness ❤❤
Simplify is my word this year :)
Yay! 😍
@@DianeinDenmark I've decided it must be right because I keep seeing it everywhere.
My words this year: Loving Me
Growth! Health❤🎉😊
Nourish and thrive
Both great choices, Dia!
Couldn’t do just one word, so I’ve two. Create and correct. Looking forward to 2025. Thanks for all your effort putting out videos.💗💗
