You guys gotta realize he’s able to do it so clean because he put the time in to grow it out first. Spend some time growing it out. And when you feel like it needs to trim, wait another week. The trim and the cuts always go best the longer you wait to grow it . He does weekly but this dude has already put the time in to get the volume and depth of his beard. Even though his is short now it took time to get it that way
This a good one I’m watching all your video as I got my beard a little 2 inches all over right now. I going to do mine like your doing just don’t have the nerve yet. Awesome video.
this is about how I keep my beard most of the time I only trim my beard every 2 weeks but I do use a razor to clean stubble on my cheeks and on the neckline almost every day when I get out of the shower because I'll grow hair up to my eyeballs if I don't
Another great tutorial video Greg. A side note have you ever heard of mammoth beard company? (based out of Calgary, Canada) I'm in Canada, so buying from the quality companies like Artuis man (which I love) is expensive with the conversion and shipping. Even with discount codes. I've been impressed with mammoth, they use top notch ingredients and no fillers. They also have a scent called sex and cigars, obviously a must try haha.
What is the length of the #7 guard? I use a 7mm guard in some places and that’s really short. Never mind I googled it and it is 22 mm or 7/8 inch to make it clear to others.
Great video man! helped me alot. i do have a question tho.. How long do you set your trimmer? because mines only goes till 18mm. which gives it a rounder look, if that makes sense.
I finally tried Artius Man. I ordered the all 20 scents beard oil sampler. I liked half of them. IMHO they shouldn't include the unscented one. Some of them smell really impressive others were ponderous lol.
i agree another great video but when do you trim any hair under the chin and neck area and what guard you use, or you let this area grow and you just trim it free handed like you did in this video?
Sometimes wrapping it around, sometimes not wrapping it around. It's confusing! Would you care to elaborate on the topic? When and why should it be done and not done?
hopefully you won't mind me asking a serious and sincere (as possible) question for you Greg: Since you are bald on top, but have a beard, do you view your very thick beard AS your hair now?
Great beard, great video! Question for you... regarding the right side of your chin area, the hair looks longer. If it kicks out because grey hair has a different texture than non-grey hair, shouldn't it be cut a little shorter so the chin looks more even? Otherwise might be just my perspective. Overall, appreciate your tips and advice. Thank you.
I know what you're talking about. It's pretty much an optical illusion on camera. It drives me nuts but I don't want to color my beard. Having more gray hair in a particular area makes it appear that I've trimmed it unevenly but if you saw it in person you'd see it differently.
@@GregBoswell428 Suspected that may be the case. I know what you mean regarding the greys. I getting some as well. Again, you've got a great beard. Well done.
I use just for men beard wash. It little by little will start to darken the beard but still leave as much get as you want and it's so gradual nobody notices.
@@GregBoswell428 Its not an optical illusion. You just havnt trimmed it properly. I have a 60% grey beard. You either trim it properly or you dont. Blame it on something else if you wish my friend
Ok Greg. I shower at night because I get up so early for work. After my shower I usually add oil then butter/cream and then in the morning wet the beard Ann's basically do the same process. Would you suggest anything different for either of my routines?
I wouldn't apply oil before going to bed. Beard butter is a different matter, though. when I do butter at night, I don't put it in the next morning. In a lot of cases (but not all the time), I don't apply anything at night. I do think one can put too much product in their beard.
With the shorter beard it's a little easier but I hate masks for this very reason. There's not a lot you can do for it but keep combing it out and give it some time to relax on it's own.

I'm new to actually grooming a beard after 21 years of military service. This video has been awesome, I dig the beard fade on the sides.
This is exactly how I want my beard but thanks to this channel I have managed to trim it up
“That’s the whole point.” Great minds think alike. I said that almost exactly as the same time you did.

I used your advice to trim my wife's beard ty 😆
So your maintaining your beard. Love the quick finger line up touches... excellent tutorial beard video thx you. 👊🏻🧔🏼
Oh man! The comb under the neck as a guide was a game changer. You literally saved my neck after a botched neckline trim!
Thanks! I realize now that I should probably make a separate video about that.
I want that cordless trimmer.

Great video man as always. Beard looking good 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks a lot!
Looks great!
Thanks, Dan!
Great video 👍 keep them coming Greg I really learn a lot with these videos

Looking very sharp Greg and great vidio
Thanks Greg, great video. I always feel I have to take a shower after trimming my beard. I feel like there's hairs on me and I have to get them off. 🤔
True, but in this case I just took my shirt off and shook it off outside and then used a boar bristle brush to get any remaining hairs.
Geaat video. Any suggestions for a wavy beard?
Great beard & great video make it look very easy I’m still work in progress 😂
Thanks Greg. Gonna do this tonight.
that's what I'm talking about !
Great video Greg! I'm going to do a similar length trim soon.
Great beard
Whats the point of raking the guard only down the face versus wrapping it underneath the jaw?
The difference in the shape of the beard

Thanks, I was actually gonna ask the same thing :)
Near enough an inch. 7 guard is the same as the hair clipper guards. A 7mm is a 2 guard
Insightful as always and the beard is looking sharp! My beard has been filling out more than I expected after using the Artius Man for 6+ months 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, sir! Glad to hear it's going well with your beard.
Your the man 🔥🔥👌🙏
Thanks
This can't be 7mm guard. What do you mean by number 7 guard?
A #7 guard is 22mm
Another great video! Thank you!
Great video! Which trimmer are you using?
Wahl Aqua Trimmers
The no guard makes me very nervous, it's easy to fumble and chunk of a piece, I rather use succors, however for the base , you might have no choice
Great tips. Thank you. Like to learn how to keep the line right below the lower lip clean without taking off too much.
I just keep it mowed down with the trimmers to match it evenly with the rest of my beard
Which trimmer are you using? Could you please share some details?
Wahl Aqua trimmers
Hi Greg, may I ask what model of trimmer you are using? Seems to be a good one and I would like to update my equipment, thanks in advance! :-)
Wahl aqua blade

What brand and model of trimmer are you using in this video?
This is an Aqua Wahl Trimmer
What a great video thank you.
I appreciate it man!
It's correctly use beard oil first end then beard balm or it's the opposite?
I put oil in first and the balm
Is it a bad idea to go UP with the trimmer/guard? Should the motion always be downwards and never going UP?
i agree another great video
but when do you trim any hair under the chin and neck area and what guard you use, or you let this area grow and you just trim it free handed like you did in this video?
I free hand the neck and use the #7 guard on the goatee area
Number 2 guard is 6 millimeters lol and number 1 is 3 millimeters
What a sexy beard brother!.. Always love watching your beard tips and beard in general😂👍🙏
Thanks!
Watching from South Africa great channel Sir 👍👍
Thank you very much!

I think when you do this practice weekly there won't be much coming of your beard. Btw nice 👌 beard bro.
Am i being silly.... what guard is used for trimming the neck hair? He only used the guard on the side of his face.
I was free handing the neck area

Is the wahl beard trimmer guard the same as a standard wahl hair clipper?
The guards are the same as far as measurements go but this trimmer is the best one of theirs I've tried.
How would you handle a beard bump? Whether from a mask or naturally curly hair?
I use a boar hair brush (not a comb) to get all the hair going in the right direction after wearing a mask

I am struggling with the cheek lines they aren’t straight with the razor
But with the no guard cliper are straight but not clean as razor
